Dialling Outlook Exchange numbers via bluetooth - General Questions and Answers

My topic was already deleted from one section.
I hope this time there will be sb who can help me.
The problem is with dialling numbers via bluetooth on my cell phone.
I tried to use activesync and the only program which I found :
Bluetooth PC Dialer 2.0
Unfortunately it ends always with error which is known for developers and they do not wanna do enything with it.
That is why I am forced to find different solution.
On this forum I found topic :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=260
but this is only for PocketPC probably.
I would like somehow to assign ANY script, program with InstantMessenger in Outlook 2003 so I could choose phone number from contact via 'Call' Option (sometimes there are 2 numbers fix and cell) and call this number on my mobile via BT.
Could anybody help me with it ?

yeah...i don0t get sound on my prophet... but i got heard very well in the other side...
Ok, I have tried using prefix 00 and I get
"Cannot complete the call. The signal may be unavailable orthe phone number may not be valid. Verify the number or try again."
WI-Fi Signal is OK (Can surf on IE perfectly) and the prefix is ok also (tried with + and 00 btw).
Any ideas?

that's a common problem with SIP. You probably behind a router with firewall. In common situation problem will be solved with NAT setup on router and port range setup on sip client. I have NAT configured but since wm6 sip client do not allow us to define the same port ranging as [email protected] (as far as I know), we will have allways this problem.
I'm also searching on this. At this moment I can only make calls (with correct 2 way sound) inside my network (we have our own asterisk box inside network). By the way, the quality is not the best, so I think I'll not loose too much more time with this but before quit I'll try to install some other sip client to work with (if I found some) one of these days.
Regards.
same
same problem here. i can receive calls perfectly wich should be the most dificul part, but when trying to call i get that message too..
help please
Hmmm...is this possible with XDAIIi? I have XDAII but my friend has XDAIIi and he might sell it to me cheap if I can reflash and upgrade the rom and make it working again.
I am using Onesuite.com voip and was very happy with their service. I was able to use an ATA device with it but took me awhile before I figured it out. If I can use it over a PDA/cellphone then it will be perfect.
Now is it possible for XDAIIi to make voip calls? What software or programs do I need to install to be able to use my Onesuite voip? Hopefully someone can give me some instructions.
Thanks.
Let me just bump this one.
Anyone can help me find answers on how to use voip on XDAII. I am using Onesuite voip service, it works on SJphones, X-lite's and even ATA device and IP phones. I just don't know for XDA's.

Search for Express Talk. I am using it on my Onesuite account and it works. Just search for it on Google.
Anyone using Fring here? I'm having problems setting it up with Onesuite but based on their website (fring.com) its compatible with any SIP based voip like Onesuite.

DTMF dialing in WM6

Hi,
I own a Kaiser/Tilt with Windows Mobile 6.1.
One feature I missed from a previous phone (SE w810) , was being able to send DMTF tones of a contact's number, while on a call. Its a necessity for me cause I used calling cards.
So I was wondering if anyone knows a fix/cab that can add a option such as "Send DMTF Tones" , to the menu when u select a contact?
Thanks in Advanced
This is one I know of
Sunnysoft Calling Card

thx a lot. will try
There are various of these programs ... I remember a long time ago we had a discussion about them in the herald forum.. if I remember later when I get home, I'll try to dig up some other ones.
running a google search for calling card & windows mobile results in a few options for you

Contacts not recognized while calling

Hello!
I have quite a strange problem. It appeared after I updated my Polaris to Windows 6.1 and the radio to the newest one. In general, I am really satisfied with the new sys, however there is one problem: telephone calls are not recognized basing on the contact list (which I imported using sprite backup).
It means that even though I have e.g. PersonX with telephone number 1234567 in my contacts, when I receive a call from him there appears the telephone number only (it is not changed into the "PersonX"). Have any of you ever had such a situation? I would be grateful for any suggestions how to solve it...
Best regards,
Theriel
Do You have only one contact with the same number? Not doubled - one in Phonebook and second with the same number on SIM?
Or if you have same contact under different names with the some number two or more times...
Joe Pesci with number +1-555-5555 and
Joe's house with number +1-555-555 and
Pesci, Joe with number +1-555-555
will confuse any mobile phone, and device will write only number. Check toroughly your contacts for duplicate numbers...
Nope, they are not doubled, and there are no contacts on the SIM. There is however another difference that appeared (I do not know if it has anything to do with the problem but...): previously I had all the contacts in the form:
"Johnson, Mike".
Now I have everything in the form "Johnson Mike" - there is no comma. But I am not sure if it tells you anything (maybe just a cosmetic change between roms?)
What is interesting - I can normally call using the contacts list (even from the "Phone" window) - they appear there properly.

[Q] International Dialing

Having searched this and various other forums I'll see if anyone here can help on this item. I've been using WM devices and XDA for many years and have now had to switch to a Droid 2 Global on Verizon due to work rather than choice. For over ten years I have entered my outlook contacts in the format +XX (YYY) ZZZ-ZZZZ where obviously, XX=country code.
When I dial by contact on the droid it fails and tells me the number is disconnected etc.
If I manually enter the number using this format with the "+" sign into the dialer then it switched the "+" to "011" and dials successfully.
If I create the contact on my phone and enter the "+" sign in the phone number it seems to automatically create a second number entry as "011" as well so it then dials successfully.
The odd part is several colleagues seem to be able to use their existing outlook contacts in the same format successfully.
I have tried switching on and off the assisted dialing and it doe snot seem to make any difference, calls still fail to go through.
I am using a D2G with a stock (but rooted) ROM
System 2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US
Android 2.2
Baseband N_01.48.05R
Apologies if I have missed something obvious, I know my way around WM but this is all new. Thanks in advance for any help.
I had a couple of issues with telephone number formats, installing the "More Locale 2" app (available on the market) seemed to fix them.
Mine was more a presentation issue though, I'm not sure if it will solve your dialer problem but it's worth a try.
