I have installed a ROM that I shouln't have done. My phone is starting up but get stuck where the information about IPL and SPL stands, I have netered the BOOTLOADER , but how install a new ROM?
use the search function man, also the title is not very good...
unfortunately you can't get roms here anymore. Get a prophet rom somewhere and then flash over the update utility if you find a noid one somewhere... hopefully you have some stuff on your computer
Sorry, Im going to CID unlock my Prophet, but is there a download link for the program I need? They hav moved the link, so I guess that its something on rapidshare?
what spl/ipl do you have right now? maybe you don't have to cidunlock... you loose warranty.... I haven't found link yet for roms I can upload you a qtek 2.09 rom WWE by tomorrow though If you want to...
Can the original Stock ROM from HTC be installed without changing the original SPL (with olipro's Hard SPL ) ? 10x in advance
Yes you can, BUT only if you find the rom in the HTC e-club when you signed in.
If you want to forexample use the HTC official roms from the forum you must use HardSpl. Fine example is the 1.28.457.2 rom which is official but it is the Asian version, that you cant flash with orginal spl.. Someone who now this for 100% can correct me if im wrong. iIm only 99% sure
Hi,
I have problem in locking GPS after upgrading to WM6.1 from HTC. I stay in Singapore.
I read many threads and understand GPS locking problem could be due to Radio version and also different Radio version for different countries.... I'm confused and have no confident in proceed further as I also read a lot of problem in flashing ROM. Wonder is it possible to flash ROM without running HSPL? any other solution for GPS locking instead of Radio issue?
The current status of my TyTnII shown in Device Information as follow:-
ROM Version: 3.29.707.o WWE
ROM date: 05/07/08
Radio version : 1.65.16.25
Any expert advice please..
Additional information: I stay in Singapore.
Ok, to flash anything to youre device, you will need to install HardSPL, this will then allow you to flash a new radio to youre device. Radios can be found Here
Following this you will need to flash youre old SPL to youre device. These can be found Here

You must Hard SPL to Flash anything (except ROM's released by your carrier).
Read this wiki page and follow the steps: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser#ROMx20.Upgrading

Thanks

I thought you don't need to have hardSPL to flash radio since all the radios are official releases? Besides all Singapore cellphones are unlocked.
Can some experts confirm this?
If it's alright to flash then I'll recommend KAIS_RADIO_ONLY_1.71.09.01
The GPS locks under 10 secs. Fastest I lock I got was about 2.5 secs
Reception is also very good

alamak, great to hear kakilang.. I stayed in AMK, Starhub
You flashed KAIS_RADIO_ONLY_1.71.09.01?? So, you run HSPL? seems very tedious and also risky..

No. I mod everything lah.
But if you have the need to send in for repair within the warranty period can still flash back to the official one and return it. Flashing it back to the official rom is the easiest part cos only need 1 file and run once

I try haha
a) nope..never had that problem.
b) I didn't have that problem. You'll need to run JumpSPL first that flash with hard SPL
c) I use HSPL3.56 and it works fine.
d) This file
http://210.64.124.194/download/TyTN%20II_SEA_WM6.1_Upgrade_20080602.zip
This page with all the official roms listed here
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs
Singapore ones use the SEA versions listed in the Country column
but before flashing need to follow the instructions first. Though I'll suggets you send in your phone to check for problems first before you flash jsut in case haha
I don't understand where people get the idea that an unlocked phone will allow you to flash any ROM or radio to your phone... An unlocked phone is only "carrier unlocked". This means you can switch your sim card for another companies' sim card and use their service. You will still have to mod your phone to change the software (ie. HardSPL). This does not matter where you may live. Places like Europe have laws in most areas that restrict companies from selling carrier locked phones but not phones with locked software. I hate that here in North America we have carrier locked phones. If I bought a phone for $600 or more and decided to switch carriers, I would be forced to change phones and toss my old phone. It is different if you were to switch from TDMA/CDMA to GSM as not all phones can connect to both systems, but staying on the same system we still get kicked in "the junk" and are forced to buy a new contract and phone. That is why I hate locked phones.
Hey, I just got my Fuze yesterday, and I'm loving it. I just have a question that I couldn't seem to find by the search.
How would I go about returning the Fuze to the stock SPL after flashing it to HardSPL? I'm asking just incase I need to return it. Would I just flash the default AT&T ROM to restore everything? Or does more have to be done? AKA Do the directions in the Hard-SPL thread apply to the Fuze?
Sorry if this is a dumb question--it's been a while since I've owned a WM phone. (Wizard to be exact =])
NVM Found the answer.
Here for those that want to know:
No need to have the SPL 1.95...I had to exchange my Fuze today because of a problem with buttons...
Just follow the steps on the front page and then afterwards reflash the stock att rom(the one with SPL 1.95)...it will flash SPL 1.95 with it
confirm by going into bootloader

what front page? i want to reflash to oem to exchange for a new fuze
hard spl has overwrite protection. you will have to flash the unsigned spl to overwrite ti (just search for "stock spl"). However, my question is, if you flash the stock rom, do you have to go thru flashing the original spl as well or the hard spl will work with the stock rom as well?
thank you all!
This may be a little long winded but !!
I am the proud! owner of a Vodafone badged Touch Pro, now probably a brick.
I think you can see whats comming.
Having read through the info on flashing ROM, I followed the guide ie instal Hard SPL then radio then flash the rom.
The Hard SPL went fine and reported 1.40.OliNex on the boot loader screen.
I didn't upgrade the radio so went straight on to the ROM flash following the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
All appeared well until the reboot where the phoone freezes on the network logo screen.
I can get onto the boot loader screen and rightly or wrongly have managed to get the SPL back to 1.90.0000.
But that is it.
Is there any hope or do I now have a rather expencive paper weight
(I have searched the site but I can't find anything which quite matches my problem).
I thought it was supposed to be 1.90.OliNex
Can you flash any other om over it?

Why did you flash HardSPL for Diamond on your Touch Pro?
Very good question.
Must have had a brain dump, but whats done is done. The only question is there anyway back?
Have you tried to flash some ROM to the phone? You can do that from the bootloader.
I'm vary wary of flashing it again unless it is with a known good ROM that is for the Touch Pro.
Any examples or ideas would be welcome
Of course, the best ROM is latest official, you can get it here - http://www.genghis.be/_HTC Touch Pr...igned_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.rar, or on HTC official page - http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=140&cat=2&dl_id=501.
Can you get it into bootloader? I doubt it, but that may be your only hope. Flashing the wrong hard spl is a sure way to kill your phone.
have you tried? http://www.ppcgeeks.com/forum.ppcgeeks/showthread.php?t=42503&highlight=hard+spl+touch+pro

Why are you posting that link? You want him to really brick his device or what? Can't you see that he has a GSM device, not CDMA? Do you know that flashing CDMA SPL on GSM device means bricked device? Don't post if you don't know basic things, please!

In answer to boot loader screen, yes I can get on to it.
The http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownlo...at=2&dl_id=501. link.
When I enter my serial number it returns"Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device".

Yes, I forgot that your serial number indicates that you have a Vodafone branded phone, and that ROM is for non-branded phones. Try the other link, no need for serial numbers.
I just tried the other link but this returned the 249 error (Invalid Vendor ID)

I assume that your not Hard SPL-ed properly then.
I'd go along with that. At the mo the boot loader reads:
RAPH100
SPL-1-90-0000
MicroP Raph (LED) v13
MicroP Raph (KEY) v5
PSOC-Raph STAGE_CVT v0x36
If thats of any help?
Well, since there's no mention of Olinex at the bootloader, you're not Hard SPL-ed. I don't know is it possible to flash Hard SPL from bootloader (think not), so I recommend that you first flash a Vodafone ROM from here - http://rapidshare.com/files/244098894/Vodafone_uk_5_10_161_1_WWE.7z.html (and here is the thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=518937&highlight=vodafone+rom), and then, with fully functional phone, you can do a Hard SPL by following instructions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150. After that you should be able to flash ROMs as you wish, but they have to be for Touch Pro GSM. Here is the thread you should read after flashing Hard SPL - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008.
Edit: found another Vodafone ROM, if you fail flashing the first one, you can try this - http://rapidshare.com/files/147978863/vodafone.rar.html.
I'll give it a go, the phone was HardSPL'd but reverted to the stock, which has probably compounded the problems.
