I have no idea just stumbled upon this app and it said it was for the google phone and it looks to make it easier as far as root'n...... Jus gettn some ideas on the app.
unless I'm severely mistaken, that's midnight commander (mc):

It's a console program/shell run on a terminal emulator in that screenshot. You could in theory compile mc and run it on the terminal application for the G1 and have it look identically.
mc is more of a relic... you rarely hear about it these days. Tended to be popular amongst former Windows users back in the day.

I figured out how to install the winmo Hd2 rom on g1, i dont know why i did it but it sucks, android all the way (though i still like my touch pro 2 )

so i checked it out, and it only boots ce. why would i want ce? and i dont think its worth it if slingplayer is the only incentive

Only killed them once the phone was booted completely. Didn't do a logcat to verify this at first.
Haha, actually I noticed what it does is just kill the task that starts up. It doesn't PREVENT the task from starting though.

Should be something like startup auditor then. Actually preventing apps from starting up would require a rooted phone with the autostarts app.

I think the dev is probably trying to cater to non rooted users as well lol. Not 100% sure of this, but stopping apps from starting up at all should require a rooted phone.

perhaps you should have bought an iPhone instead of an HD2
Just use the voice recorder to record yourself farting, burping, screaming etc. and then you can play the files back at will.
That will be just like the iPhone.

Have you read through the thread to see if anyone else has raised the same issue? I know there are incompatabilities with some older g-sensor apps that can be overcome by downloading a certain dll and putting it in the app folder.

At least I learned that usless software are just useless and pointless in fact I got bored after about 2 seconds
This is just to confirm that I better stay with my HD2 and don't think to Ifonzie-like crap
