Has anybody here been able to get their contacts/calender (ICal) synced on a mac via bluetooth. I'm using the missing sync (4.0.3) and no luck there (USB syncing is great, thought). I hate carying my cable everywhere I go. Any tips or suggestions are welcome, cheers
Edit: I kinda got it working, although it changes back appointment I delete on the mac...
Edit 2: It probably had something to do with using both mac and pc, all was well after setting my mac to overwrite my device

Hi,
I upgraded to 1.60c today with great success. Thanks for all the effort that went into making this happen. After the upgrade the AS4 does connect though. It does detect the device and the wheel keeps spinning and eventually stops. New device detected lets pair it dialog does not pop up. Also on the device side I do not see AS pop up at all which used to be the case with WM2003SE. Can anyone help me out here? What should I do to get this going?
Thanks & Best Regards

Thanks. This was a good pointer. I have Checkpoint VPN client on my work PC so I stopped it but this made no difference. I will try again at home tonight. Appreciate your help.
Do you connect to an Exchange Server to get e-mail? If so then you may need to establish a connection between Outlook and the Exchange Server on the first sync... either by attaching to the corporate LAN or connecting through VPN. It may also help to delete the computer partnerships off your PDA, and any profiles out of AS on your PC.
If this doesn't help, search the forums for Activesync... there are a few threads about such problems....
use the activesync 4.1 or latest
has anyone else got problem with syn through Bluetooth? Even though I have set up perfectly like I did with other roms that works, the ActiveSyn would still prompt me that "Cannot find an existing Bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports ActiveSync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?'" Tried so many time with even hard rest and everytihng. Just does not work! Any clue? Thanks.
I am using the Octaivoi Rom kitchen 4.8
Morning...
So I got my new XDA Graphite, and decided to connect it up to the PC. It worked great first time around - no problems.
I wake up the next day, plug the USB cable in - and nothing. No connection whatsoever - I can't even browse the file directory.
I've tried re-installing, resetting - everything I can think of. Windows Mobile Desktop just sits there telling me that nothing is connected. The PC does detect when I plug it in (you hear the connection sound).
I've even set Outlook to be the default mail client...
Am I missing something?
Regards
Lee
sorry for asking something off your topic (cant help you with that btw) but who is the manufactor of the graphite? didnt find anything about it.. but it looks really good.. anyone knows?
Good question! I haven't managed to find that out myself yet....
ASUSTek is the manufacturer.
It is an ASUS Jupiter I believe.
first, try to uninstall activesync and reinstall it after you restart your computer. Make sure you use the latest version or at least 4.5. Mine is 4.5 and got not issue. Please note that do not connect the device before you install activesync. Good luck.
check your IP setting in network connection for a try.
Select the windows mobile device network card, select properties en check is TCP/IP is checked if not, turn that on.
Happens to me once a month or so.
Don't know why.
please help i lost my graphite cd driver, could anyone be kind and share their copy of graphite usb modem driver thanks..
how can i sync and transfer to and fro my tp2 and mac book pro?
thanks guys
If you have snow leopard, its supposed to have activesync.
If you're still on an older OS, there is a ($40) program called missing sync.
What I did is went the totally free route and bounced contacts through google. First enable addressbook to sync to google, then have phone sync to google. I've only tried it with contacts, its supposed to be able to do email and calendar from google to phone as well.
OBEX push also works from my hackintosh to the phone, but not in reverse for files.
The sync app in sl doesn't work. Already tried. Nothing on mac works. I want to transfer files etc from tp2 to mac and nothing works.
Did you try the file transfer setting in the Bluetooth settings?
On the phone? I probably did but right now not sure exactly what you mean. Sorry.
Go to Bluetooth settings, expand on Advanced (+ arrow), click on File Transfer, choose a location to receive files. Set your phone to discoverable.
On Mac, click on Bluetooth icon in menu bar (usually top right), click on Browse Device, choose your phone from list, click ok.
On phone you'll be prompted to pair with Mac and enter a 4 digit passcode of your choice, do that. Mac will prompt for same passcode, enter same 4 digit passcode. Accept all communications from Mac on phone.
Now, on Mac, the Bluetooth File Exchange utility will display the contents of whatever folder (or memory card) you chose as your save folder. Drag and drop files to it or from it and that's it.
I might update later with screenshots when i have time.
I already paired and entered the code thingy. But did not know anything about a utility in the mac blue tooth menu. I only tried the transfer on phone and nothing happened on mac or the phone could not see mac to transfer. The active sync or whatever it is on the mac sees the phone but says it can't sync with it. So I'll look in the bluetooth menu. F it works this is cool.
How fast would it transfer music from my MacBook pro to the phone?
Thanks alot for telling me about the utility in the Bluetooth menu on mac.
While I don't own a Mac, I know my brother in law has had success with bluetooth for transfering files between my Vogue and his mac as well as the use of it for a personal area network.
Have you tried using the use as drive option when you connect it by usb? this (I would think as it just acts as a uSB key) should work as long as you have a memory card in your phone. It won't "sync" though.
Hi all,
I have searched and searched the forum and the internet but can find no answer to this issue.
I'm using an HTC Touch Dual (Neon 200) that I had set up to connect to my PC via bluetooth for Activesync.
No problems there, it all worked fine. The issue comes with my attempts to automate the synchronization. I had found and successfully used a program called CT Scheduler to start the bluetooth radio and then instigate the "Windows/repllog.exe" file to start a bluetooth activesync.
In Activesync, on the Touch, I go to "Menu-->Connections--->when cradled, synchronize all pc's using.........."
I had the option to select "`USB" or "`DIRECTORSOFFICE" (the name of my PC).
Now, I have no idea how the "`DIRECTORSOFFICE" option got there but I selected it and it all worked fine. I could connect via USB or Bluetooth and the auto-sync worked fine.
BUT, Here's the kicker, after a hard reset, I've restablished all my connections via bluetooth etc. and can manually initiate a sync via bluetooth. HOWEVER in the Activesync connections I can no longer select aything other than "`USB". For the life of me I cannot remember how I got the Touch to give me that other option and it is the ONLY thing preventing the auto bluetooth sync from working.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Hi and welcome to XDA,
did you do a H-Reset or a new rom flash? the new rom may not support BT Activesync, you should also pair your phone to your PC, that may enable the option
Eh - my bad...should have specified in my OP. This is running stock WinMo 6.1 Professional.
Did you pair to your PC?
Not this time around.....dammit you know that sounds like it might be it! I'll have to a backup, hard reset and try it out.
If that's truly the case and I can get that option available again then I have a really tidy solution for people wanting to Autosync via Bluetooth.
(Although this is probably not an issue nowadays as most phones are coming with WiFi, so I guess people are syncing that way)

OK, got too excited there. Of course I must have paired it with the PC or I wouldn't have been able to Activesync via BT manually right?

Depends what stack you have
Sorry, i don't think i can help
If i find anything, i'll let you know
Default MS BT stack for WinMo Pro 6.1. I haven't changed anything on this ROM at all.
I must have done something during BT setup that allowed that option to appear but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was!
It's not a huge deal as I luckily had a backup with that configuration working, I was just being a bit anal about doing a complete clean install, there were a few programs I wanted to get rid of and felt my phone had slowed up a bit.
Cheers.
