Hello,
Just got my Raphael today. Now I tried to Sync with ActiveSync, but it won't work.
The computer says Synchronising and stays this way.
While the Raphael says for a while synchronising and does nothing. After a while it says: Waiting for network.
It's my first time with WM. I used symbian before.
I am working with a dutch standard ROM and with Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.
I'm hoping for a solution.
Thanks,
Japie
unplug the sync with the system and go to the "start" -> "setting" -> "connections" tab -> select "usb to pc" -> uncheck "enable advanced network functionality" then sync it again.

I already tried this, but it won't work ...
EDIT:
I have an error code in status: 0x80072EFF.
There seems to be problem on PC side. Normally is synchronizing all the time correctly also with more PC's.
But I have another problem...
I connect WM device(doesn't matter which type) and I get only the fault message, that the hardware cannot be installed. I have tried to reinstall AS45 many times as well as drivers, but with no result.

Hello guys,
Time of my touch pro automatically changes.
What should i do ?
Please help me.
Thanks a lot
wat? time changes to wat?
Maybe it sychronize with your desktop during synch, or you use a GPS program with checked the option to update time from satelites.
Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Time Zones -> Uncheck [Automatic change time zone and clock]
It's a gps software
Been there
Hated it
i have this problem when i use Active Sync .
if the computer time is 13:00 , my raphael turns to 14:00
theres no any registry for this time change ?
I have the same issue...
i guess it's due to daylight saving time.
I've the time set correctly in my PC with timezone and DST option turned off.
same for the touch pro, i disabled the automatic DST setting.
still whenever i connect the phone to the PC the time is increased by one hour.
i had the same issue in my TyTnII as well.
any suggestion?
On the PC. Go to Activesync > Tools > Options > Settings..
Uncheck "Synchronize Smartphone date and time upon connecting"

Mine too, eery minute it automatically changes...
Thanks DSF...
done it on my laptop with XP.
but do you have a solution for Vista?
Sorry, haven't used Mobile Device Center . It really doesn't have some options to set?
Try to modify via registry.. maybe it is similar to ActiveSync.
On your PC:
HKEY_CURENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows CE Services > Partners > [partner_id] > Services > Syncronization
Sync Time on Dock = 0
That's on my PC using XP.
If the path doesn't exist, simply search the registry for "Sync Time on Dock" or "Sync Time", maybe you can reach it.
Don't forget that you must have the partnership created before this.
DSF,
Thank you... you have stop my insanity!
its soooo annoying. i want my clocked synced with my pc. but it keeps adding dst!
It because daylight saving is not updated on the phones. All PC seem to update correctly but not the phones
Might help someone
Hello,
My TouchPro changes the city that I select as a time zone to another city (Windheok), but which is still in the same time zone (GMT +2), every time I reboot it. Also it advances the time by only 15min! I already installed microsft DST 2008 fix but with no help. My phone was doing that ever since I bought it.
The only thing that helped was Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Time Zones -> Uncheck [Automatic change time zone and clock].
Although it's a trivial option to have the phone automatically detect DST I still like it and find it practical. Anyone know a workaround?
Thanks.
Hello all... I'm a total newbie to Windows Mobile and this site. Hopefully I've found the right place to post this. I have Win XP SP2 with activesync 4.5 and HTC touch pro (att fuze). My device connects to the PC fine but ONLY as a guest (tried this with someone else's device as well, same issue). I plugged my device into my co-workwer's PC and the got the option to set up a sync partnership. This option has never appeared on my PC. I've deleted/reinstalled activesync multiple times and tried other suggestions found here (checking & unchecking "advanced network functioality" and "ask about connection type" in USB to PC settings on the device). Prior to all of this I had software called Intelatrac installed on my PC. This is a "task tracking" program which uses activesync to connect to a Windows Mobile PDA device. I don't use this software in my current job so I uninstalled it. Somthing in the Intelatrac/Active sync set up is possibly the issue. I've connencted multiple devices to my PC and to another PC which has Intelatrac. NEVER is there an option to set up a partnership. Only guest connections automatically occur. All menu options in activesync except for "connection settings" are "grayed out" ("Syncronize", "Mobile Device", "Delete Moblie Device"). Any ideas what to look for? I have tried my IT department for the past month but have yet to find anyone who has a clue. Sorry for the long description.

Actually, long descriptions are best to identify problems
This is just a suggestion, but maybe this Intelatrac software left something in the registry that is being used by ActiveSync. My advise to you would be to first uninstall ActiveSync and then look for entries for this program in the registry and delete them if you find them. You could use autoruns to see if there are any processes/dll loading that shouldn't be there in the first place as well. Hope this helps...
Thanks for the reply... a problem with something left in the registry is exactly what I thought might be the problem. This being my PC at work, I don't have authorization to even look at the registry let alone edit it. Only our IT "help" desk group can don that . Through unofficial channels I got access and found that there are at least 20 references to "Intelatrac" left in the registry. If I can ever get these folks to look at the problem I'll report on the results. Thanks again!
I connect my Kaiser which uses latest HyperDragon ROM to Activesync on my PC which uses latest XP SP3 > I manage to connect it > When I go to My Computer I can`t see "Mobile Device" icon there where to go view my files and if I try to go there through Activesync`s Explore it redirects it to C:\
Last time when I managed to view my files on my pc was over month ago :I
edit: I can do anything via AS but not view my files.

Hi, have you checked your a.s. settings to see what is syncing? You say it used to sync ok and that you could view your files using a.s. explorer, but that it stopped one day?
Did you install any apps then, or make any system changes? If your settings are good, have u tried deleting the partnership on both your device and computer, then restablishing it again? Also try unchecking "enable faster data syncronisation" in settings/usb to pc (if hyperdragon has that function).
Hope this helps but get back to me if it doesnt.
It sometimes helps depending on which operating system you are using (XP or Vista) to change the following settings.
Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC
• remove the check mark from Enable advanced network functionality
Soft Reset not necessary but recommended. When device is up and running and you removed all existing old profiles from computer as suggested in previous post, then plug device in.
Make sure that your active sync settings allow for USB connection. Go to connection settings in your active sync section and check this as well..
Good luck!
Hi, my Fuze will not connect with active sync. it wont even be recognized on my computer so i cannot use it as a disk drive either. It does recognize that it is charging but wont connect! ive tried a hard reset and still no help. i cannot flash a new rom or anything because it wont connect! im not sure if it is the rom or not because it was working and suddenly it just disconnected and i cant connect since. is there anything i can do please help!
Only time i had this problem, was when i first bought the fuze. I had already had a kaiser sychned up w/ active synch. However i see now winmo has a device manager type of thing you can download, im guessing that will help using two devices.
did you or do you synch another winmo device on the same computer?
I have the same problemafter a reset. From the Start menu go to Settings and then select the Connections tab. Click on the "USB to PC" icon. Under ActiveSync uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality". Active Sync should work properly.

I can no longer sync
Hi,
I also can no longer sync. I have just unticked the 'enable faster data connection' as suggested and it still doesn't work.
I bought a UK T-Mobile Vario 4 last week. I downloaded and changed the ROM to PROven ROM 3.1 a couple of days ago, and all was fine until this afternoon.
I have done a soft reset - not worked. rebooted PC - not worked. Ended partnership on Windows Mobile Device Center (I run Vista) - not worked.
HELP. I am a newbie and not technical, though I somehow managed to change the ROM after lots of attempts.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks for your help

Any ideas???

I just had this problem last week! All of a sudden windows couldn't recognize the usb device. Very EASY fix. Reseat your Micro SD card, it worked for me the first try. Hope this helps!
I am having an issue with activesync automatically changing the time on my WM 6.1 device to the system time on my laptop. I travel all over the country and need the phone to stay on the local time, vs the laptop system time which is set to home. I figured out how to stop the automatic sync before, but I have since had to wipe the phone clean and start over and now I can't figure out how I did it before. Any ideas?
Just connect your device with your laptop with activesync
On the laptop in the open active sync windows navigate to tools / options
In the dialog box which appears there is a "Settings" button. Press this button.
In the next box at the bottom there is a check box "Synchronize PC Date and Time Upon Connecting" Uncheck this box.
Hope this helps
Thanks smrz,
I'm running Windows7 and can't seem to find any menu in the Sync Center or Mobile Device Center that has what I need.
