Hello,
Lately I have a little problem with my uni.
The problem is that my battery status isn't displayed correctly. I know this because the device goes dead when the battery is at half. Now the battery lasts +/- a day so there isn't a drainage problem.
Is there a way to recalibrate the battery?
Thanks for the reply's.
ps: using Tomal's latest rom
Read this you should find few methods to recaliberate battery here..
great thanks for the help and in the future I'll check the wiki first
It didn't work for me! I've a thread with my experience. I hope thomas_pieps will be luckier!

Battery
Hi,
Last night I've put my battery in freezer.
This morning I took out and let it come to room temperature before charging again. It took 2.5 hours charging
Can't tell you if it worked yet but it looks good
Tell you later how long it last

i had this problem with my old battery (+3yrs old) so i got a new one just over a month ago ... the problem with WM6 is different .. the device takes about 1.5 day to drain the battery to 50% with normal usage (including wifi and bt) .. but the remaining 50% can be consumed in less than 2 hrs! .. same in charging too .. 1st 50% can be reached in less than 15 min and the remaining 50% can take around 2 hrs! .. i tend to think it's readings problem in WM6 but im not that expert.
Hello friends ,
It have been 2 weeks since i got my universal (o2 xda exec) , I have tried most of the WM6 roms here , but most of them dont give good battery life..
Anybody know which is the best ROM with Best battery life? or any tips how to improve the battery life?
I usually read books and rarely hear music and i have 4 apps installed and i find the battery drain fast within 3.5hours. For this reason i turned off the phone and wifi. My uni is a new one , i dont want to have the charger all the time with myself.. I go places , do please help me..
Thanks in advance
battery life is awfull and unpredictable
I have the same problem. I use the same crossbow 2.12.08 version
with update radio ( from 1.15 ) to 1.18
I have a larger battery 3200 mAh, but th ebattery life is never more than one day. Though the battery is brandnew...
Worse is that when charging sometimes it shows 100% but most of the time this drops within a few minutes ( 2-4 ) to 97%
Then after 1-2 hours it is on 60% while usage is minimal. no WLAN, no BT
Also sometimes for some reason the battery is very warm ( during loading ).
When disconnected it turns out the universal is almost empty. Tried to disconnect the battery and leave it outside for 5 minutes then back in. but nithing seems to really improve. Also without memory card the results are more or less the same. Also always I close the applications fully.
Maybe someone can tell me what are the possible reasons...? Is is the software. Does it not see the actual charge correctly? Or is there a "hidden"battery user. Read the article about leds and all that, but this is way out of that league.
Rgds
I think that your battery is no good. My battery is 2 years old, it's the original battery 1650mAh and the battery life is 2.5 hours with WiFi enabled (internet navigation via WiFi)
If you want your battery to last longer, check the wiki:

Before blaming ROMs check the device with another battery. I had the same problem too, checked several ROMs and even downgraded to WM5 and at the end it appeared that my battery simply dies, while my other battery showed far better lifetime.
You are definitely having a battery issue rather than ROM. I am using 2.1.2.08 also and can get 3 days of normal mixed use from my original 1620mah battery.
Why not try "resetting" the battery, as discussed in previous forums, I for one can testify to it's success.
i have a problem and was wondering if there is anything else i can do to improve bettery on my phone to keep my instant messenger(beejive) runnig for at least half of the

Hi,
Things that improve battery life:
- Drain the battery COMPLETELY until the phones shuts off and recharge the battery with the phone turned off. Do this 3 times. Improves battery life extremely.
- Disable repplog.exe in the notification queue with the comment "system time changed" using memmaid or similar tool (don't do this when you sync with an Exchange server OTA)
- Use advance config and enable all the options under "energy"
These are the 3 things I found in the forum that really work for me

BeeJive IM is a seriously intensive IM product that drains my battery very very quickly. I would suggest using Palringo. www.palringo.com It's not as pretty as BeeJive but your battery life with signifigantly improve.
I would also try using different radio's. Radios can help you improve battery life / signal strenth, etc. Test out all of the Raphael radios and available and see which ones works best for you.

I have tested the theory with draining the battery 3 times to it's complete and utter demise before charging. I found that doing it once worked best for me. Since Lithium Ion batteries do not have memory such as Nickel Metal Hydrate. I have found however that if my battery is acting funny to fully let it die then charge it up completely that it will return to it's normal self.
I have done a lot reseach on Lithium Ion batteries and found it's best to keep your device charged as much as it can and not let me battery get below 30% or 20% at the most before re-charging it. When I do this I get the best battery life as possible and my battery seems to last a lot longer in regards to the longevity of the battery as a whole.
battery bar defect
hello my name is laura and i have the htc touch pro i treid i couple of tweaks to expand my battery life and now my battery bar does not work it does not go emty i suddenly get i message that my head battery is very low and i have to recharge but my bar is completly full i removed the tweaks but it is still not working help
Hello,
First off I think XDA Developers is really fantastic! I succesfully ROOTED my HTC thanks to a clear and understanding guide by VipeR xl lx.
Then I installed the HD Revolution Andriod ROM that works without problems.
When I was digging through the forum I found somewhere that after installing a custom ROM should calibrate your battery so I found this topic: [How To] Brilliant Battery Life 100% working! I've done everything like in the topic.
But currentwidet will never 0mA, how is this? I'm sure my phone had 12 hours on the charger. Whatsup with that? Am i doing something wrong?
Can someone help me or give tips how to do it
Thanks & Greetings,

Hmm, you'll have many thoughts from folks on this.
Basically the battery calibration methods described (100% charge and delete battery stats or 0% charge and delete stats) just delete some the stats. The ROMs will "normalise" themselves after 3 or so charge cycles.
The Sensation seems to report battery % in a strange way across all ROMs and calibration techniques.
The Key thing is that a fully charged battery is ~4.2V and a fully discharged one in the phone is ~3.5V.
A 0mA drain is not possible. The phone, or any phone, will have to do basic background stuff even when the screen is off. It's checking the phone network for example or waiting for you to turn it on to do something.

Thank you for the information will definitely use it.
I wanted to know that what is the average life of a 1700mah battery ?
I have this phone, solo one, its lollipop, 1/GB ram , 1.3 GHz quad core with a 4.3 screen .
Its battery is draining very quickly. If I surf over 3g it can barely give me 2 hrs, gaming is worse, only an hour I think. I turned on WiFi and turned my phone into a hotspot and in 5 minutes 10 % was gone. Is this usual for this kind of battery? Also, when I run cpu-z , of shows my battery capacity as just 1000 mah . is it a bug or am I fooled ?
At the time of starting to write this , my battery was 46% now it is 42%.
When I went to service centre they just said that my battery has passed the "test".
Please help me.......
Hi
There is no such thing as average battery life.
Unusual battery drain can be caused by faulty firmware, phone or battery .
Try factory resting phone and see if it solves your problem.
Also check this thread for battery saving tips.

If the issue persists ,you can post in general Q/A for better help form peers.

Good day !
Two applications to download and use and save lots of battery life, and give a lot of performance boost is:
Go Battery Saver
Clean Master
Just search on Google play
Hope this helps

And I have answered it. There is no such thing as average battery life .
A poor firmware with memory leaks can give abysmal battery life like yours.
Same thing if you have a poor battery or some defect in phone.
I had suggested a factory reset to rule out one possibility of faulty firmware.
There could be background services eating off your data and battery .
I have listed the thread by Woody about batteries and statistics.
You can read and analyze your battery usage yourself ,to find out the culprit.
Also ,there is a duplicate thread in General Q/A section.

I will mark this thread as completed and close it
The discussion can continue in the thread in General Section.
