i wanted to install igo8 on met TC, but i cant get it properly to work... I have the UDK R7 rom installed. TT runs fine, but i always get te same error message: Program application database cannot be found. Please install original SDcard. I made some changes in the sys.txt, but can't find the right one...
Can someone please help me!

In sys.txt there should be written:
[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"
Take care to have the same in both Program Files/iGO8 and iGO8 folder at SD Card.

Following wiki upgrading procedure, I have upgraded my MDA compact to 1.12 WWE. But Camera is not working, not even starting!.

But then nothing changed, only I got -album- application, which before was not there.
Simptoms:
when I push CAMERA button, it looks like "camera" is starting, but then after 2-3 ecs, it ABORTS

I'm having a lot of trouble getting the Tomtom v5.21 to work on my Atom.
The problem is - I install everything like normal but when I try to run it, it goes as far as the screen to select a voice and when I do, it just freezes.
Has anyone got it working on their Atom yet??

You might find it helps to put a directory called tomtom in My Doucuments and put the CurrentMap.DAT file in there. Thats what I did with my JAMin.
There is a thread on here with this file on it.
Try a search.

Hi all,
I have recently bought a Kaiser from Orange in The Netherlands. The phone had a Dutch OS installed and since I am Dutch illiterate, I HardSPLed my device and loaded the Kaiser release ROM that I found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=331900
The problem is that, when I tried to install TT6 found here: http://rapidshare.com/files/56585274/6_032_8351.rar (the link was found in the Kaiser Wiki), I get this error message:
"Unable to install Application. Please update your device ROM to the required version before trying again"
Needless to say I am completely lost...
Please advise, and if possible, point me to a newer English ROM that might solve this problem.

That cab you have, is the tomtom installation cab that is shiped with certain htc phones. On other devices/roms it doesn't run, because the cab checks if the appropriate rom is loaded.
Try find another CAB. There are some cabs where the check is removed.
You can also extract the cab with WinCE CAB Manager and copy the files manually to your device.

I've noticed that MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe program as found in http://vidmes.com/xda/Uni/Radios/Universal_radio-1.15.00.rar does not require to have Activesync installed.
However, ROMUpgradeUt.exe program (the one included in excellent Tomal's ROMs) does require to have Activesync installed. If not, you get a "rapi.dll not found" error.
Both programs seem to work with my SPV M5000 (I have made a couple of flash operations with them, both Radio and ROM).
I don't like to have Activesync installed, so my question is:
Is it OK to understand that it is safe to always use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe instead of ROMUpgradeUt.exe when upgrading to newer HTC Universal ROMs. (specially with Tomal's ROMs)?

Put the device in serial mode, and use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe

Hi i did read somewhere that MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe is not safe but don't really know the reason...

I'm brandnew on this forum, I didn't find anything on this topic....
I just bought an HTC snap and I'm having quite a big problem. Before doing anything I installed the update from WM6.1 to WM6.5 from the HTC homepage...it worked perfectly. After that I installed some other softwares like skype with the exe file, no issues at all and the programs are running good. Then I tried to install some softwares with the cab files; some of them couldn't be installed at all (Resco explorer). With some other softwares the installation could run until the end but with no errors but then if I started the program I got following error (for example for Galarm):
"An unexpected error has occurred in GAlarm.exe"
If you go to details you get this description of the error:
at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr()
at Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.InputPanel..ctor()
at ay.b4()
at ay..ctor()
at cy.a()
The same error for all program installed with cab files.
It would be great if somebody could help me!!
