I'm brandnew on this forum, I didn't find anything on this topic....
I just bought an HTC snap and I'm having quite a big problem. Before doing anything I installed the update from WM6.1 to WM6.5 from the HTC homepage...it worked perfectly. After that I installed some other softwares like skype with the exe file, no issues at all and the programs are running good. Then I tried to install some softwares with the cab files; some of them couldn't be installed at all (Resco explorer). With some other softwares the installation could run until the end but with no errors but then if I started the program I got following error (for example for Galarm):
"An unexpected error has occurred in GAlarm.exe"
If you go to details you get this description of the error:
at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr()
at Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.InputPanel..ctor()
at ay.b4()
at ay..ctor()
at cy.a()
The same error for all program installed with cab files.
It would be great if somebody could help me!!

Following wiki upgrading procedure, I have upgraded my MDA compact to 1.12 WWE. But Camera is not working, not even starting!.
Nor I can find Camera Link in programms. It looks like camera.cab is missing or bad installing, from extROM
Can someone help?
Where can I download a camera.cab?

i think shouldn't have any probs... it is just a software base... as long as you're running on windows mobile... but no promises...

But then nothing changed, only I got -album- application, which before was not there.
Simptoms:
when I push CAMERA button, it looks like "camera" is starting, but then after 2-3 ecs, it ABORTS

Hi all,
I have recently bought a Kaiser from Orange in The Netherlands. The phone had a Dutch OS installed and since I am Dutch illiterate, I HardSPLed my device and loaded the Kaiser release ROM that I found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=331900
The problem is that, when I tried to install TT6 found here: http://rapidshare.com/files/56585274/6_032_8351.rar (the link was found in the Kaiser Wiki), I get this error message:
"Unable to install Application. Please update your device ROM to the required version before trying again"
Needless to say I am completely lost...
Please advise, and if possible, point me to a newer English ROM that might solve this problem.

That cab you have, is the tomtom installation cab that is shiped with certain htc phones. On other devices/roms it doesn't run, because the cab checks if the appropriate rom is loaded.
Try find another CAB. There are some cabs where the check is removed.
You can also extract the cab with WinCE CAB Manager and copy the files manually to your device.

Im having trouble booting up BuildOS? Ive already downloaded from ALEX COOKING TUTORIAL also a package from PPCGEEKS KITCHEN. Each time i have installed the software and tried to open it i get this message:
BUILDOS.EXE - APPLICATION ERROR
THE APPLICATION FAILED TO INITIALIZE PROPERLY (0x0000135). CLICK OK TO TERMINATE APPLICATION.
Ive tried to restart the computer and start again but to avail, any help would be greatful.

hmm, a lot of people seem to be having this problem recently for some reason...
what is in your C:\kaiserkitchen directory?
At the moment im using the BuildOS installer from PPCGEEKS KITCHEN, ive downloaded all updates for different devices from there server.

When i downloaded ALEX Kaiser Kitchen, C:\kaiserkitchen the program you use (sorry dont remember the name) to add CABS to the ROM did exactly the same thing as BuildOS.

Im having the same problem with buildos on a fresh install of xp pro with sp3 slipstreamed.

Has anyone of you encountered this error message? "The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows mobile software".
I encountered this problem when i downgraded my rom from Master Efsane's WM6.5 to 2003se..Before that, the hima doc tool of Masther Ather doesn't work so i tried the other hima doc tools on this site..anyway, i tried flashing my himalaya with different roms but i keep on getting this error message. Right now i couldn't use some applications that are previously working with wm6.5. I already tried to flash different EXTroms but it didn't resolve the issue..this is very frustrating..please advise..
Don't worry. It's just a warning because the developer of the program have design it for a previous version of windows. All the programs that gave me that warning are working without problem .-
Actually, it has nothing to do with the program itself but a version number listed in the CAB file - it's pretty much completely irrelevant, though.
The problem is, i could no longer use the applications that i could previously use on WM6.5...it only happened after downgrading to 2003..don't you guys find it weird???

My brother got a Samsung M8800 Pixon mobile running on TouchWizz (as I understood running on top of WM 6.1).
The problem is that it can not start .exe files, error message I got is "file not supported".
I have really searched across the forums but could not find anything on that topic, so maybe anyone here can help ?
btw. trying to install iGo, don't want to run.exe file which I can run without problem on my HTC Tytn (WM6.1) ...
sorry sir but the pixxon doesnt have windows. i think it runs symbian.
hence the reason it wont rum exe files
