Dear users
Following wiki upgrading procedure, I have upgraded my MDA compact to 1.12 WWE. But Camera is not working, not even starting!.
Nor I can find Camera Link in programms. It looks like camera.cab is missing or bad installing, from extROM
Can someone help?
Where can I download a camera.cab?

i think shouldn't have any probs... it is just a software base... as long as you're running on windows mobile... but no promises...

But then nothing changed, only I got -album- application, which before was not there.
Simptoms:
when I push CAMERA button, it looks like "camera" is starting, but then after 2-3 ecs, it ABORTS

i bought a XDA mini from ebay.when i received the device it is of german made and i am an indian.when i was trying to upgrade my ROM version,i got an error and failed to upgrade, since then it is not turning on .i tried to soft reset ,hard reset but it is fruitless.later i came to know that the software with which i tried to upgrade was for 'XDA ll'.how can i reinstall my original ROM now.moreover i noticed that something "USB v1.02" is being displayed when i connect it to the PC with USB cable and "SERIAL v1.02" when i disconnect it from the PC.
Can any one help me i have used my phone 1 month back.
Your device is now stuck in the bootloader & that's no problem. Just visit the wiki & go to the magician section. Explore it, especially the part about rom upgrading with exe method & download the 1.13WWE rom with the link on the magician main page (@ the wiki).
Then connect your magician (mini) to the usb & start the exe file (shipped-rom) you've downloaded. Now it should finish, if an error 120 comes up, use maupgradeut_noid.exe like described in the howto.
Your magician should be cured after this.

There are lots of taskmanagers to do this like spb pocket plus, mbutton... I'am using VJOkButt assigned to a hardwarekey by aeb button plus.

i am a newbe but i informed me since 1 week and so i want to give WM6 a chance.
i am trying to upgrade my qtek s200(HTC prophet) G4 to WM6 smartv1.3.
first of all i am using the following helps:

to upgrade my mda. but i get always the same error:
ERROR [248~260] : UPDATE ERROR
by using the readme.txt i can only find the following info: pls restart mda and pc. i did both but i still get this error
i guess its because i use vista and i jump over the step : install active sync 4.5 (this is not possible in vista)
has any one an idea or has someone experience upgrading his htc prophet from WM5 to WM6 on WINDOWS VISTA?

P.S.: i tried di kill all process including deactivating firewall and viren scanner. i also tried to close the securite center (is not possible)

P.P.S.: i searched in google and i found out, that some people have successfully upgraded their mda on vista(but it was an other device)
P.P.P.S.: i also found an RUU on http://205er.de/ppc.htm but he confused me. he uses also a s200 device BUT the RUU is not for s200 (i am guessing, because their is another picture at the upgrade routine )

Hi! I've got a Dopod 577W. ROM ver: 2.0.11.0 Radio ver: 4.1.13.15_02.29.
I've recently installed a few freewares. Today my Camera and Video won't start.
msg: Access denied. The program cannot start becoz it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate.
Then the phone will freeze. I've search tru' the forum but it really got me confused. Could anybody tell me how to disable this certificate request. Any help is very much appreciated.
Found the solution to my problem!!
I thought i just share this. I know maybe a lot of u already know the solution. Anyway the unlock works with my Dopod 577W.
Just visit this Wiki site n follow the step by step guide. If you don't want to edit the registry yourself, just use the HTCUnlock which do the registry editing for u.

Hi all,
I have recently bought a Kaiser from Orange in The Netherlands. The phone had a Dutch OS installed and since I am Dutch illiterate, I HardSPLed my device and loaded the Kaiser release ROM that I found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=331900
The problem is that, when I tried to install TT6 found here: http://rapidshare.com/files/56585274/6_032_8351.rar (the link was found in the Kaiser Wiki), I get this error message:
"Unable to install Application. Please update your device ROM to the required version before trying again"
Needless to say I am completely lost...
Please advise, and if possible, point me to a newer English ROM that might solve this problem.

That cab you have, is the tomtom installation cab that is shiped with certain htc phones. On other devices/roms it doesn't run, because the cab checks if the appropriate rom is loaded.
Try find another CAB. There are some cabs where the check is removed.
You can also extract the cab with WinCE CAB Manager and copy the files manually to your device.

I'm brandnew on this forum, I didn't find anything on this topic....
I just bought an HTC snap and I'm having quite a big problem. Before doing anything I installed the update from WM6.1 to WM6.5 from the HTC homepage...it worked perfectly. After that I installed some other softwares like skype with the exe file, no issues at all and the programs are running good. Then I tried to install some softwares with the cab files; some of them couldn't be installed at all (Resco explorer). With some other softwares the installation could run until the end but with no errors but then if I started the program I got following error (for example for Galarm):
"An unexpected error has occurred in GAlarm.exe"
If you go to details you get this description of the error:
at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr()
at Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.InputPanel..ctor()
at ay.b4()
at ay..ctor()
at cy.a()
The same error for all program installed with cab files.
It would be great if somebody could help me!!
