help - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

i have my imate jam Pm10A i installed 2.03 WWE ROM now its stuck can tap align screen on left side but on right side cant alighn screen it donot tap the target how can i fix this problem?

You'll have to sort of 'guess' where the target is.
This means that your touch sensitive screen is crack somewhere (you can't see it). If it was working before you did the firmware upgrade, then you will need to take the unit apart, remove the screen, and re-adjust the touch-sensitive layer (this exact thing happened to me too).
In my opinion your device has 'realized' that your screen is no longer square (or rectangular in this case), hence it won't accept your screen-taps as being valid.

Broken screen

OK, heres the deal..
Yesterday I managed to crack the bottom-left corner of my BA screen (damn medkit shifted onto it in my car glovebox ).
As i was checking to see how much of the screen was still responsive (seemed OK, still usable, only the 'New' button and the bottom item of the menu didnt work) the battery died (as in completely, hard reset died)..
So i plug in the power, and start the familiar initial setup. I get to the callibrate screen screen and am unable to continue..
So my question is: Is there any way to bypass the calibrate screen section of the initial setup? Im pretty sure enough of the screen still works for the device to function, if only i could get past this damned calibration screen..
Clearly i cannot bypass it completely, as the screen does need to be calibrated - but is there any way I can recover my BA?
Cheers All

Also, if you can still see the image it means that only the digitizer (touch sensitive part) is broken, and not the screen so it shouldn't cost to much to replace.
And remember - search is your friend!
This might be a bit toooo late, but just in case some one is stuck with a broken screen as dabs and I were.
I received a k-jam (lucky me, it was for free) with a broken touch screen, it was left uncharged for a long time so after charging it, it entered the unwelcomed welcome mode (you know, align, copy, time zone ...) and there were no way of passing this part of initialization.
I had to do some search over the net, and I found a good article here ((Can I use a PDA that has a broken touch screen)) http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?m=200510 which advised the use of "RemoteCalibration.exe" directly from the pc. This killed the welcome.exe program and I managed to re-use the K-jam again. The only draw back about this way is that I will have to connect the K-jam to a pc every time I hard reset, I hope there is a way to do the same action via mini sd cards.
After that, I installed fakecursor (but I'm looking for a better sw to emulate the touch screen function as this one cancels most hardware buttons on the devise) but at the moment, I'm using all the k-jam's functions.
Hope this would be of help to some one out there

Can't align screen after update (but touchscreen works)

Hi!
The screen of my Prophet works correctly.
After I've installed a contributed rom, my device boots correctly (after hard reset) and then ask me to align screen but just after I tap to enter in align procedure, it didn't give response anymore! So it enter (tapping the screen) in the align procedure, but then no repond any nore!
I tried to install other roms but... nothing to do: the is always exactly the same:-((
What can I do? Go back to WM5?
What's the correct procedure? I didn't found it...
I've tried to and...
Now I've installed NVID rom
but when appears "tap here to set up your Windows Mobile-based device" I tap on the screen (so touchscreen works) then pass to "align screen"
here if I touch normally it didn't work but if I press and move a little the pen on the cross (like designing very little circle) it works.
After alignment procedure, Prophet seems to works regularly, I mean I just nee to simply touch screen and it works.
Do you think it's the beginning of an hardware problem?
this happened to me as well. i can't touch the centre cross hair, but can with my finger, the other cross hair i can tap with the stylus. also on the keyboard, i can't tap esp the no. 8 & few letters below it esp G.
still happens to me even with another rom. don't know how to correct it. i guess a new screen is the key... or get a new pda - i'm waiting for my touch pro!!
all roms problem
Yep, it seem like it don't receive a spot area touch, but only wide area touch.
But this appens to me for «all» roms I tested and «only» for alignment procedure!
After I get screen aligned, it works perfectly, and seems to have normal sensitivity.
The problem is only for align procedure!
But it sounds strange that you can't use "8" or "g": it seems really a problem with touchscreen or maybe it is to clean a little.
But you are a lucky man! Touch pro is coming in your hands...
Bye

[Q] Help with align screen in HTC Touch Pro2 Verizon

Hi every body!
I have a problem with my phone. It is deviated to left so that I can't press the number 3. When I press number 3, it effect to the number 2. I used align screen function to fix but I have problem with align screen. I touched to the target for 40 minute but the target still continue. Then, I reset my phone( although the align screen still continue) but the phone's status haven't still improved( it is still deviated to left).
How must I do?
Please give me your help. Thanks a lot.

[Q] Screen flickers when pressed (typing, tapping on it, etc)

I dont think the software matters, as this occurs in 4EXT as well as during the boot process (I am using the new Elegancia ICS). Every time i touch my screen (especially in the middle to bottom center) the screen flickers. It will also flicker mildly if i grab and put pressure on the top and bottom of the case (squeezing the case) or the capacitive buttons.
Any idea what this is about? Maybe the whole screen is going to need replacing?

[Q] Resistive screen offset problem after replace

I've replaced the resistive screen of an Huawei U8110. I've checked it is working properly entering with adb shell and then 'cat /dev/input/event0' (this is always the screen), and it returns raw data wherever I touch the screen.
The problem is that, with any rom I tested, the screen is displaced about 1cm to the right, so I'm even unable to unlock it! Because of that I'm assuming that the screen calibration is recorded directly in the touch detection chip, so my questions are:
Is it possible to know the chip brand and try to communicate with ti directly to do some kind of "reset calibration"?
Does somebody know if there is any rom with ts_lib integrated, so there'll be an extra layer that enable the user to calibrate de screen in software?
