Upgrading Dopod rom problem.

Hi,
I have upgraded my dopod rom using this file RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe from the xda developers ftp.
After upgrading I found that the version number is incorrect
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.15.0000
I have tried reflashing with the same rom several time but the version number for IPL remains the same.
How can I upgrade the IPL correctly?
Where can I find the upgrade for IPL/SPL 2.15.0001?

I cannot flash my dopod 818 pro ROM...it said that I have wrong type of device :?: :?: :?: :?:

Did you guys CID unlock first?

The rom I flash last time for my O2 XDA neo was RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID. No CID unlocking is neccesary, and the procedure of flashing is as easy as installing a software.

You don't need .0001
AFAIK, the number depends of G3 or G4 mainborad hardware version. .0000 means that you have G3. Let it be, and don't touch if it works well.

I also have the same problem. My IPL seems 1.00 and I'm looking for the 2.15.0001.
I'm totally sure I have the device CID unlock, why? I can Install ROM from i-mate, Qtek and Dopod.
I tryed many days, many hours nad still working.
Please give me a help, a hand, please. Thank you in advance.

[Urgent] Dopod 818pro upgrade to WM6 failure

i jsut tried to upgrade my Dopod 818pro to WM6 but when i finished some of the steps and hard-reset the phone it stopped at the 1st picture: Dopod Enjoy Mobililty and the screen shows:
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.15.0000
GSM 02.19.21
OS 10.1.0.811
Even i hard reset or soft rest it is still the same.
Would anybody teach me how to fix it...I will be very much appreciated..

upgrade first to official qtek 2.2 rom, then upload to wm6

Finally, I need to send back to SIS to replace my motherboard.

WM6 on G4 CID-Locked Prophet

Hello,
I am not a really experienced user in ROM upgrading, IPLs, SPLs, and the works. I have read a LOT about these subjects and i still don't understand a few things. Nevertheless i tried.
I own a G4 CID-Locked Prophet (QTEK S200) as described in the title and i tried upgrading to WM6 "just to see" what the hell would it do.
Before trying this WM6 upgrade i tried yet another thing which is kinda risky and actually turned this same S200 into a brick temporarily. I used the known shelltool_bugfixed application to upgrade to AKU 3.3.13 (extract OS from a complete ROM, then replace the OS file with the AKU 3.3.13 one) and it worked. I tried doing the same with clean1 V2 ROM and it bricked it.
I reflashed the Prophet with an original ROM using the novendor-id RUU, thinking it would never bring it to life, but it did. Also upgraded my SPL to 2.13.0001.
Then i tried upgading to clean1 V2 WM6 rom again (Jesus, stubborn guy) just by simply decompressing the files and running "UPGRADE_ROM.BAT". And it worked.
I was REALLY surprised because i read over and over again about this and i had the idea WM6 needed some special IPL and/or SPL and that my device had to be CID-Unlocked before the upgrade.
These are just a few events of yesterday and today with my Prophet which i wanted to share with you. I still find it unbelievable but here i am, running WM6 and happy as hell with it. WM6 really looks awesome and works a treat

If you dont write IPL/SPL without the right CID, you cant use all WM6 Firmwares ;-)

So you mean IPL and SPL are directly related to CID-Locks?
I wish i could understand that, it would help me figure out what i can use on my CID-Locked Prophet and what i can't... before i brick it for good
As i said above, when i "brought it back to life" with an original JamIN rom, it upgraded the SPL to 2.13.0001 (it was 2.10.0001 previously).

Don't know what your are talking about but all wm6 in this forum gave me no problems when i flashed them. Mine is CID locked G4 from ORANGE. So just try. There are lots of alternatives. All working more or less... Find the one better suits your prophet.

Read what i said in the first post. I know it's a bit confusing, but it says there i have successfully flashed my S200 with WM6 (smart1 V2 ROM).
I was just surprised because with all the spread information around WM6, i thought i needed to downgrade to some "special" IPL/SPL version or that i couldn't flash just because my G4 is CID-Locked.
After all, i can just flash about anything without bricking my S200. The only thing i think would brick it is if i downgraded (somehow) the IPL/SPL. Am i correct?

you can only upgrade IPL & SPL
but you can upgrade and downgrade OS
what I really confused about it, what is the relation between IPL&SPL and OS
as I understand, some OS need newer IPL & SPL
can any one correct me

not exactly, on CID-locked device you can upgrade onlu SPL

as I noticed, there isn't any relation between IPL/SPL and OS
and upgrading SPL doesn't take any profits

Xda Mini S problem after flashing WM6. Still have WM5

Hey,
I installed a WM6 ROM, but after reboot I still have WM5 installed and O2 starts installing stuff. Does this mean my phone is CID locked? I had an IPL/SPL 1.05 and upgraded to 3.08 already. If I need to unlock do I have to downgrade back to 1.05 somehow? Can someone tell me what needs to be done?

your phone is cid-locked and should be a g3, and yes you have to downgrade to ipl/spl1 or 2 because with ipl/spl 3 you can´t cid-unlock your wizard

Simply flash your desired ROM, that's all!° If you get a CountryID error, try it with the SoftSPL method!

lost warranty-original rom

I have a Qtek S200(Prophet), and I upgraded it to WM6.
But the speaker on the telephone is go wrong, so i have to
fix it, but i havent got the garranty.
Can anyone have an idea to do what to get back the warranty?

Is the devices warranty period still valid? If so, get the correct ROM for your device (Qtek ROM for S200 etc) flash that, and then send it in for warranty repairs.
