I have upgraded my dopod rom using this file RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe from the xda developers ftp.
After upgrading I found that the version number is incorrect
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.15.0000
I have tried reflashing with the same rom several time but the version number for IPL remains the same.
How can I upgrade the IPL correctly?
Where can I find the upgrade for IPL/SPL 2.15.0001?
I cannot flash my dopod 818 pro ROM...it said that I have wrong type of device :?: :?: :?: :?:
Did you guys CID unlock first?

The rom I flash last time for my O2 XDA neo was RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID. No CID unlocking is neccesary, and the procedure of flashing is as easy as installing a software.
You don't need .0001
AFAIK, the number depends of G3 or G4 mainborad hardware version. .0000 means that you have G3. Let it be, and don't touch if it works well.
I also have the same problem. My IPL seems 1.00 and I'm looking for the 2.15.0001.
I'm totally sure I have the device CID unlock, why? I can Install ROM from i-mate, Qtek and Dopod.
I tryed many days, many hours nad still working.
Please give me a help, a hand, please. Thank you in advance.

How can I tell if my phone is cid-locked, I would really like to change the ROM without the risk of bricking it. Has anyone one tried lokiwiz to cidunlock their phone? any advice would be appreciated. BTW I bought the phone from gray market in Hong Kong and is Vodafone branded, do you think it would be locked?
It came preloaded with Dopod Rom, but I don't like it that much. Also what is the best radio rom, the dopod radio rom is a bit weak.

you are on G4, so yes you are still CID locked.
Normally when you flash your rom you will know imediately when it try to update.

so should I try to flash a rom and see what happens? if it goes through without an error it is cid unlocked? if an error pops up it is locked? Should I try this or should I avoid the risks? Any ROM suggestions? Qtek maybe?
Since your phone is G4 chip, i'm pretty sure you are CID locked. Dont worry about the CID locking for now, GOOD ROMS outthere been using different programs to get around CID locking problem. I suggest you can start with PDAMobiz rom from the other thread. REMEMBER USE G4 program not G3 or other programs. or look for any rom that has NoVender CID in the name.
MDA VARIO II with Dopod WM6
I recently bought Tmobile MDA Vario ii with Dopod Wm6. When it boots it shows dopod sign so I think it is dopod. The ROM is 3.54.707.3.
I want to upgrade to Wm6.1 but Tmobile has only official 3.60.xx rom presently available for download. Can I directly flash any Hermis compatible ROM on MDA Vario II.?
Since it has Dopod WM6 the CID lock must have been diabled I suppose. Am I right? and should I directly flash any HERMIS official or extended ROM? what are your suggestions Thanks

I don't know enough about the Hermes and flashing to be certain, but I think you'll need to HardSPL (which bypasses bootloader CID checks) before flashing a ROM.
Take a look at the Hermes sub fora before doing anything though...

I don't mind this being WWE instead than Spanish, but I got several problems:
Hang during install after first reboot. (after every Hard Reset)
Not all programs installed.
Not all installed programs running.
Some other minor glitches.
I moved from 2.15 ESP Rom (Vodafone) wich I was unable to extract.
Does anyone knows were to find my "old" rom?
I downloaded 2.13 from imateclub but refuses to install: "this nbf file is not for your device, get a newer one".

First, is your CID unlock?
Second, your device have a G4 chip, so you can not be able to install an older version, I mean, If you have a 2.15.0001 you can not be able to install a Rom for a Sapnish Qtek 2.09.0000 or like JAMin by i-mate 2.13.0000.
About where you can find your original rom, I invite you to find it on XDA-Wiki, after you log in under your nick or make a Dump Rom from other device like yours.

I'm unsure if this is CID unlocked, it is SIM unlocked now, will check for the CID issue. Though I assume that being able to install other 2.15 rom (dopòd) means it is already CID unlocked too....¿?
I was afraid the "downgrading" has to be done in the same version range. (2.15)

The wiki site is a real mess actually, with no trace of usefull info specific for the prophet. (Sorry to say) Just a couple of ROM's some not working.
No one with a 2.15 ESN rom to share?

i updated my s200 with a crossbow rom and now its dead
the update was sucssfull but when i push the power button the screen fliker for les than one sec and that it
my s200 will not go even to bootloader

mh you have g3 ... try the solution out that i mentioned before and try the cid unlock from pdamobiz.com... then reflash an older rom with spl/ipl.
edit:
the pdambiz can only be flashed when you are in align screen... if you have 2.21 take a wizard rom and go into align screen with active sync connection and flash the cid unlock rom.
if you have 2.20 then just try another prophet rom out and see if it works...

sorry that its in german but its the only one I have right now... you can also change the language with some programm which is available here in the board..spl and ipl is included and it should downgrade you pda to 2.09
its an original shipped rom, they are always for g3 and g4 right? it doesn't say anything about that, anyways i used it on my g4 and it worked so you might wanna check out before as you have a g3 device, but I'm pretty sure it works for g3 and g4
so i maneged to get my s200 into bootloader
i now i have IPL 1.01 and SPL 1.01 but my device is G3
so i tried to flash RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
and its start and when it reached 95% igot an error that says
"ERROR 326 ivalid command, the nfb file cannot be used with your pda phone
and one got and idea what to do ????
just now i tried to flash "RUU_Prophet_2090732_20907115_020720_QtekGER_Ship.e xe" and it fail at the first time
so i tried again and it sucsess
and now my qtek work again

I am not a really experienced user in ROM upgrading, IPLs, SPLs, and the works. I have read a LOT about these subjects and i still don't understand a few things. Nevertheless i tried.
I own a G4 CID-Locked Prophet (QTEK S200) as described in the title and i tried upgrading to WM6 "just to see" what the hell would it do.
Before trying this WM6 upgrade i tried yet another thing which is kinda risky and actually turned this same S200 into a brick temporarily. I used the known shelltool_bugfixed application to upgrade to AKU 3.3.13 (extract OS from a complete ROM, then replace the OS file with the AKU 3.3.13 one) and it worked. I tried doing the same with clean1 V2 ROM and it bricked it.
I reflashed the Prophet with an original ROM using the novendor-id RUU, thinking it would never bring it to life, but it did. Also upgraded my SPL to 2.13.0001.
Then i tried upgading to clean1 V2 WM6 rom again (Jesus, stubborn guy) just by simply decompressing the files and running "UPGRADE_ROM.BAT". And it worked.
I was REALLY surprised because i read over and over again about this and i had the idea WM6 needed some special IPL and/or SPL and that my device had to be CID-Unlocked before the upgrade.
These are just a few events of yesterday and today with my Prophet which i wanted to share with you. I still find it unbelievable but here i am, running WM6 and happy as hell with it. WM6 really looks awesome and works a treat

If you dont write IPL/SPL without the right CID, you cant use all WM6 Firmwares ;-)

Don't know what your are talking about but all wm6 in this forum gave me no problems when i flashed them. Mine is CID locked G4 from ORANGE. So just try. There are lots of alternatives. All working more or less... Find the one better suits your prophet.
Read what i said in the first post. I know it's a bit confusing, but it says there i have successfully flashed my S200 with WM6 (smart1 V2 ROM).
I was just surprised because with all the spread information around WM6, i thought i needed to downgrade to some "special" IPL/SPL version or that i couldn't flash just because my G4 is CID-Locked.
After all, i can just flash about anything without bricking my S200. The only thing i think would brick it is if i downgraded (somehow) the IPL/SPL. Am i correct?

but you can upgrade and downgrade OS
what I really confused about it, what is the relation between IPL&SPL and OS
as I understand, some OS need newer IPL & SPL

as I noticed, there isn't any relation between IPL/SPL and OS
and upgrading SPL doesn't take any profits

how to downgrade to before 818pro spl.
now i try to upgrade to 818pro 2.15 rom, but cannot. why ?

High IPL/SPL Version wins! You cant downgrade!

You can downgrade if your device is a G3.
Check if your IPL/SPL end with x.xx.0000 (x.xx.0001 are G4)
Firstly, you need to CID unlock your device by flashing rom using
pdamobiz.com_downgrade_and_unlockcid rom.rar
(Please note that this rom is not usable and serve only to unlock CID)
You can then downgrade your SPL to 2.15 using
RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_S hip-NoVendorID.zip
I don't have the links to the above files. You need to search for them yourself. Hope this helps.

Why do you need to downgrade SPL 2.20? Is there any specific problem with that SPL? so far my SPL 2.20 is working well with WM6 and WM5. I wouldnt touch IPL and or upgrade SPL to 3.xx

no ... higher version number wins and the next ... spl 3.08 is charmer ... it means no prophet spl can flashed back!
can i flash it with another charmer?
uhm ... if you want brick/damage your device ... sure
this are a modded spl to run on prophet! highest prophet spl is version 2.58 and only for g4. nobody have uploaded in the moment!
