I have a Tilt with stock roms. I like the phone just fine except for one annoying bug. At times I am unable to logon to the internet. It's always later after I have had a successful internet connection. I try a few hours later and it will not get any pages. I have to soft reset in order to connect. Which it will immediately. Is this a Radio rom issue? Will a newer one work better and which will work with the AT&T roms. Or should I flash everything with Dutty's Rom or TNT? (or someother custom rom)

I have been loading various ROMs from this forum after always flashing back to the T-mobile stock ROM. When I loaded newest 3 Touch-based ROMs, my device starts to roam by default. Does anyone know what causes this or have a solution? Thanks in advance.
Instead of creating a new thread, post this question on the existing ROM thread.
OK
I'll do that.
After I flash my Tilt with a Non-AT&T Rom, the keyboard is messed up especially the Function keys (they get reverted to the kaiser keys instead of the tilt keys)
Now, I have tried all the fixes including the Tilt Keyboard Fix, Disabling XT9, etc etc but that problem never gets resolved.
I have noticed that whenever I do a soft reset, all the settings get reset on the tilt for some reason because the stupid notification asking me to configure network settings via OTA comes back up even through I disable it, is that what's causing the keyboard not getting fixed or something else?
please help, thanks.
Rom Specific
Sometimes the issue is ROM specific.
Which custom ROM are you using?
if you apply both the tilt keyboard fix and use another utility to change your keyboard, you will have problems.
If you chose not to read at least be more specific and you might get some help.
you are not the first person to have this problem with their tilt.

you are correct, here is what I did:
Had original AT&T Rom
Flashed HTC 6.1 ROM, keyboard was not working, applied patch, keyboard still not working
Flashed Dutty's April 17 Fix ROM, keyboard was not working, applied patch, keybaord still not working.
Flashed to TNT Official ROM, keyboard not working, applied the patch, keyboard is now working
now maybe I will try to go back to the HTC Windows Mobile ROM and see if the issue is now resolved.
It seems like the first time I flashed the device caused some issues.
I am not sure what you meant about reading or being specific if not reading....I did read all the forums and searched but couldn't find the solution, maybe I missed the post where it's mentioned that this could be ROM specific issue.
Please try searching the thread where this ROM was originally posted for answers, prior to posting this question in that thread.
In the future, please try to reply to an existing thread before creating a new one, especially in the ROM development forum.

Phone seemed to work normally until i found that i had no audio from any source even tried the ear bud and found not audio there either. Tried resetting the phone with no change. Finally flashed the ATT rom back onto the phone and what worked just fine. Tried to flash the Schaps rom again and had the same issuse. HELP i like the Schaps ROMS i had a 8525 with Schaps on it and had very like problems with it.

Why not ask in that ROM's thread?
First off it might be better to post in the thread of who's ever rom you are using. That way you don't spam up the board.
You might want to check the rom and make sure it includes a radio. If not you'll have to flash one that is compatible with you rom. Hope that helps a little.
Doesn't warrant a new thread, especially since it sound like the old "I'm using Wm6.0 Radio with WM6.1 Rom" Known Audio Issue.
Thread closed, you know where to go now.
Hi,
I've got a little Problem. I bought a Polaris from eBay and now I have my problems with it. When I bought it, there was 3LIT3_V_Full installed. But I wasn't very happy with this ROM, so I flashed some other ROMs.
Afterwards when I tried my first calls with my "new" phone I noticed that the Phone doesn't work properly. Fist call (incoming or outgoing doesn't matter) is no problem, but a second one is not possible. First call (a working one) is always after a 10-minute break and several softresets I think.
Incoming calls let the phone ring but if I want to answer the time begins to count but no one is there. The caller always says afterwards, I would hang up.
Outgoing calls are the same. I call, hav no sound on my phone and if the one I call wants to answer his phone does like I did hang up, while my phone begins to count the time...
Same Problem happend with diverse ROMs. Now I tried the actual original HTC-ROM without of ANY other software and now it works.
So my questions:
What could be the reason? an old Radio Version? perhaps NoData that blocks something? or possibly blocks S2U2 the hang up of the first call and so block further ones?!
does anybody have an idea?!
Please
Whichever rom you want to install "you havent said" just look for the recomended radio for that rom and install that.
I thought each ROM installs its Radio?!
I would prefer the 3LIT3_VII_Full ROM.
Some roms do install radio some don't im not sure about 3LIT3.But on the 3LIT3 thread it say's If you want to change the radio, it must be a 1.59.xx.xx radio.
Hmm ok. This semms to be the problem. After flashing the cooked ROM my Phone says Radioversion 1.58.xxxxxx. the original ROM flashes 1.59.42.15...
so the 3LIT3 ROM flashes an older and possibly not working version of the Radio
So I think I just have to flash the newer Radio after flashing the 3LIT3 ROM.....
Tutorial?!
All I read about changing the radio is: DANGEROUS! not very helpfull
so please can s.o. tell my what I have to do?
where do I find thes new Radios. All I found were version 1.58.xx.xx or before and 2 special 1.64.xx.xx radios...
CustomRUU will only flash your radio it's as safe as flashing a rom. Here's the link for 1.59.42.15 http://rapidshare.com/files/145185172/HTC_Polaris_Radio_1.59.42.15.rar.html.If that doesn't work for you just do a search for polaris radios and try another.
Thank you!
I hope it will work now.
I think it was my fault. Supposable I flashed an other ROM including Radio 1.58.xx before because now i reread the thread about 3Lit3 and I found out that since version VII there is no Radio included...
My fault I hope.
Thanks to all who did help me!
Before I say anything about my problem, I want to say this is a great forum after reading few threads people here seem helpful and overall a great community.
Now, onto the problem. I got a Sensation few days ago for T-Mobile USA. I wanted arabic support on it so I installed a new rom (cyanogenmod). I followed guides on here. Everything was good. It was fast, and everything was perfect. Except when I went out I noticed my internet wasn't working.
I have full signal, i see the H with up and down arrow (assuming this means HSPA+) however, when ever I try to do anything on the internet I get connection error. So I looked around and I found out you can update the radio. I did that to the latest one. I believe I got it from this forum. After updating I still experience the same issue. I see the H on top of my screen but no connection.
What can I do here?
Btw I am a noob at everything so please try and keep the terms to a newbie level and any links where to download any files you suggest would be much appreciated. Also, the HSPA+ or 4G was working before I installed this rom.

download the matching RIL for the Radio you downloaded (Example. The one in my signature uses HTC-RIL 2.2.0169HMQ. It will tell you in that thread what radio it matches.
Reboot to recovery
Mount /system (in 4ext it is mount then mount /system. CWR i am not sure)
Flash RIL you downloaded. Reboot. Should help the issue.
