Audio loss on 8925 - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Flashed Schaps_WM6Pro_Kaiser_4.30_WWE_Full.exe to my phone had zero issuse flashing the new rom. Phone seemed to work normally until i found that i had no audio from any source even tried the ear bud and found not audio there either. Tried resetting the phone with no change. Finally flashed the ATT rom back onto the phone and what worked just fine. Tried to flash the Schaps rom again and had the same issuse. HELP i like the Schaps ROMS i had a 8525 with Schaps on it and had very like problems with it.

Why not ask in that ROM's thread?

First off it might be better to post in the thread of who's ever rom you are using. That way you don't spam up the board.
You might want to check the rom and make sure it includes a radio. If not you'll have to flash one that is compatible with you rom. Hope that helps a little.

Doesn't warrant a new thread, especially since it sound like the old "I'm using Wm6.0 Radio with WM6.1 Rom" Known Audio Issue.
Thread closed, you know where to go now.

Strange thing happened to Dutty's TouchFlo ROM, help!

I downloaded 3 ROM's for my AT&T Tilt.
1. First I flash with Dutty's TochFlo, play it for a day, things seemed fine except couldn't get the voice dial going.
Playing with it more, SMS only display title but not contents. frustrated.
2. Flash with DopodAsia WWE, found it has less features.
3. Flashed with AT&T newest ROM, it worked fine but Dutty's still has better features.
4. Back to Dutty's ROM, but this time, no sound.
5. Flashed with AT&T ROM, sound comes back.
6. Back to Dutty's ROM, no sound again, it can vibrate but no sound.
It's the new ATT rom
Yep, been there, got the tee shirt. Simply download the original ATT flash it, then put whatever rom you want on the Tilt, no problem. As discussed in the upgraded ATT rom thread, that rom has a a problem souind and it carries over to most other roms.
Good luck.

Which Radio version do you have? If you have 1.27.14.09 you must change to 1.27.12.17. Then sounds will come back.
is this only a problem for the at&t ? Or for the normal kaiser too?
Flash your phone with Original Rom which you can find on this forum. I had same problem and after I flashed my Kaiser with original rom the problem was gone. Good luck
yup same here, i flashed the XDA Live ROM, which apparently got the latest radio rom, but when swoop back to Helmi ROM, all sounds mute, except for the vibration. flashed back with HTC shipped ROM, and everything is good now
Radio
The issues is that it seems the 1.27.14.09 radio is some how tied to the ROM. So if you were on the XDA Live or the latest ATT rom that upgraded your radio, that is the sound issue. As others have already said downgrade to 1.27.12.17 and your sound issues will be resolved.

The sound problem is caused by the AT&T ROM. I changes the radio to a higher version that causes problems with some ROMs found here. The way I fixed mine was fine the shipping HTC ROM, flash that. Then flash whatever ROM you want, works perfect after that.
You don't have to flash the whole ROM. Just flash 1.27.12.17 Radio and you should be good to go.

Thank you for you all!
Is the Radio part can be download somewhere in this forum?
I couldn't find it. Would someone send me a link please?
Thanks!

You really need to read the wiki and search, buddy! Here's a link to the wiki. http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser Find the section titled FTP Downloads and you can find the Radio downloads there.
No sound
Mine did the same! Went back to the Stock Rom.

Yep, thank you! I downloaded everything that I needed. But now I have too much to chew on.
It seems AT&T Tilt (HTC 8900) is different from Kaiser HTC (stand to be corrected).
Hardware-wise, it miss an extra camera lens in front which the HTC model has.
Software-wise, it does not have the Home plugin to display the large clock.
I am tempted to flash the HTC ROM and check it out now I got the Radio versions

Most current AT&T Tilt ROM?

I'm having trouble with my Tilt (it recently started being randomly unresponsive to commands (15-20 second lag some times). Is there going to be a new AT&T 6.1 official ROM with updated drivers? My device has the 8-25-07 ROM date, and before I decide what to do I'm checking on the status of official AT&T releases.
No, as far as I know, there isn't an official one yet. However, a lot of the cooked ROMs on this site will probably fix your problem.
If you can't wait for the official ATT WM6.1 release then you could try their latest WM6.0 release http://www.htc.com/us/FAQ_Detail.aspx?p_id=67&act=sd or as mentioned, could try a cooked ROM.
upgrade ur hardspl and the lags/freezes will be gone.

Looks like he is still using an old Stock ATT Tilt ROM (WM 6.0), so that is not likely the issue.
@ gmfeld. If you have had your Tilt for a quote some time, it is possible that you simply have some junk, or orphaned registry settings, or something slowing your system down.
I would recommend either upgrading your ROM to the latest Stock ATT Tilt ROM (as posted above), or simply doing a Hard Reset to get your current ROM back to its original state. Of course, do a BACKUP before you do anything that involves Hard Reset or Flashing!!!1
I just got my tilt and I think I have a newer official version.
It is
ROM 1.62.502.0
Date 01/17/08
Radio 1.27.14.09
I've noticed it has a bluetooth headset issue (not sure if it is exclusive to mine) where it will end the call, but won't hang up in the phone program.
gmfeld & vanisher,
I would suggest you at least run PPCPimBackup then a hard reset. If you have a little time this weekend you should read through G.W.E.N.I. then flash a nice cooked ROM. Play with your device and post educated questions in the proper threads. You WILL appreciate your device more than you ever did...guaranteed.

The above is a noob success story. I would recommend you go the same ROM route as he did as for starters.
There is no official AT&T WM6.1 ROM yet, but we're getting there.
Check the shipped ROMs section on the wiki to see how new / old your ROM is.

Thanks to all for all the suggestions. I've been running SKTools, so I'm pretty sure I've gotten rid of all the junk and orphaned registry settings, etc.
I agree with all that I need to flash a new ROM, or reflash my original ROM, that's the only thing left to do to clean up my Tilt. Just trying to get some info on when or if a new official AT&T 6.1 ROM is to be released, so I don't go through that process twice. If I knew that its a ways off, I will probably then go with one of the cooked ROMS now.

Is there anywhere I can get the HTC S710 BT Mobile Rom?

I've tried srerching the boards to no avail but I was wondering if there were any downoad links to restore a HTC S710 back to the original BT mobile rom?
Thanks for any help.
EDIT-
I am asking for this as I have flashed her S710 with a different rom and it seems to have developed a fault where it has started vibrating randomly. She's had it for months and its worked fine up until now.
I don't think there is such a ROM. It's some base ROM and than BT stuff is added to it.
check this out: http://bt.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/bt.c...346&cat_lvl2=1265&p_cv=2.1265&p_cats=346,1265
Check out the vibrations. they might not be random. they might be due to some software or script. (unless you have already checked and ruled out this option)

Yes look if there are around files with *.mscr extension, maybe in the /Windows/Startup folder
Here is the link where you can restore to BT settings.

Andy.

Chazam - did you ever get to the bottom of this. As i see it the link above only gives you the additional BT Braodband-Anywhere software which you load on top of a base ROM, and i think that it is the Base ROM you are after. the reason i ask is that I want to flash my S710 with one of the cooked ROMs on this forum, but like you if i need to send it back to BT i need to restore it back to it's factory default?
Does anyone know if it possible to extract the original ROM and then flash it back in the future? (probably not as simple as that but i can only ask????

Problems with Orange Radio ROM

Hey,
Im having problems with my radio ROM (atleast I think its the radio ROM which is the problem).
I have flashed my ROM to Schap's 4.31
I used HardSPL first btw!
The new ROM seems to work fine, except I can't hear people when they ring me, and they can't hear me. And the signal disappears completely sometimes. Also the camera doesn't work.
I had read a good bit before flashing my ROM, so recognised this as most likely being an issue with the Radio ROM.
After some more reading I tired Kaiser Radio 1.65.21.18 and then after some more reading im now on 1.65.16.25 (which the guy in the orange shop today confirmed as the correct ROM for my phone)
And although the issue with the signal seems to have improved if not gone, I still can't hear people, and they cant hear me. Camera still doesn't work.
Am I being a total prat and have missed something noobishly obvious? This is my first WM Phone, and had really tied to read everything so this wouldn't happen!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Keith
This really seems a Radio problem. Try to flash some other radio. It's really quick to flash a new radio so try it some times until you find a good one.
Also, go to the Schap's 4.31 threat and see what SPL and Radio the cooker recomends and the "users" of that ROM using.
Don't forget to read the Ultimate Radio Threat here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182
Your answer you need could be already there and probably you haven't the need to open a new threat.. that I suppose will be closed as soon some mod read it.
Good luck
I'm using the 03-12-08 Hyperdragon Blackstone Build on my Orange UK Tytn II with Radio 1.65.24.36 and cmonex's HardSPL 3.29 and all is perfectly well with mine
Flash a stock rom
If you still get problems try flashing an old stock orange rom from the Wiki and see if that fixes things. The stock roms should have the oem/original radio with them. Hopefully then your'll be able to check if the problem is hardware or software, but it does sound like you need to find a compatible radio.
Schap's 4.31 is WM6 as far as I remember and you are trying to use radio for WM6.1
Try to flash 1.27.12.17

Can't telephone!

Hi,
I've got a little Problem. I bought a Polaris from eBay and now I have my problems with it. When I bought it, there was 3LIT3_V_Full installed. But I wasn't very happy with this ROM, so I flashed some other ROMs.
Afterwards when I tried my first calls with my "new" phone I noticed that the Phone doesn't work properly. Fist call (incoming or outgoing doesn't matter) is no problem, but a second one is not possible. First call (a working one) is always after a 10-minute break and several softresets I think.
Incoming calls let the phone ring but if I want to answer the time begins to count but no one is there. The caller always says afterwards, I would hang up.
Outgoing calls are the same. I call, hav no sound on my phone and if the one I call wants to answer his phone does like I did hang up, while my phone begins to count the time...
Same Problem happend with diverse ROMs. Now I tried the actual original HTC-ROM without of ANY other software and now it works.
So my questions:
What could be the reason? an old Radio Version? perhaps NoData that blocks something? or possibly blocks S2U2 the hang up of the first call and so block further ones?!
does anybody have an idea?!
Please
Whichever rom you want to install "you havent said" just look for the recomended radio for that rom and install that.
I thought each ROM installs its Radio?!
I would prefer the 3LIT3_VII_Full ROM.
Some roms do install radio some don't im not sure about 3LIT3.But on the 3LIT3 thread it say's If you want to change the radio, it must be a 1.59.xx.xx radio.
Hmm ok. This semms to be the problem. After flashing the cooked ROM my Phone says Radioversion 1.58.xxxxxx. the original ROM flashes 1.59.42.15...
so the 3LIT3 ROM flashes an older and possibly not working version of the Radio
So I think I just have to flash the newer Radio after flashing the 3LIT3 ROM.....
Tutorial?!
All I read about changing the radio is: DANGEROUS! not very helpfull
so please can s.o. tell my what I have to do?
where do I find thes new Radios. All I found were version 1.58.xx.xx or before and 2 special 1.64.xx.xx radios...
CustomRUU will only flash your radio it's as safe as flashing a rom. Here's the link for 1.59.42.15 http://rapidshare.com/files/145185172/HTC_Polaris_Radio_1.59.42.15.rar.html.If that doesn't work for you just do a search for polaris radios and try another.
Thank you!
I hope it will work now.
I think it was my fault. Supposable I flashed an other ROM including Radio 1.58.xx before because now i reread the thread about 3Lit3 and I found out that since version VII there is no Radio included...
My fault I hope.
Thanks to all who did help me!
