Well said!! I agree 100%. Everyone else here had to read and learn how to mod their windows mobile devices and so should he. I don't mind helping someone out when they honestly can't find what they are looking for and I know how to help but when someone just asks for everything to be handed to them, thats just lazy and they will never learn anything...

I have no problem (and fully understand) the difficulties people have in searching and posting if English is not their native language (I know I couldn't survivie reading and posting on a board in a foreign language!), but based on other recent posts by Cujo316, I don't believe this is the case (completely). He appears to be just asking for handouts without doing any research at all. In one case, a link was given to him, and he replied back that he couldn't find that. I think its more a case of where he wants things handed to him based on what I've seen.
(BTW: I'm assuming cujo316 is a "he". Sorry if thats not the case, but its a pretty safe assumption 99% of the time around here )

Duttys 6.1 on Tilt ok but no sound.

The ROM upgrade to 6.1 went well and it looks great (outstanding work!).
I have no sound at all now.
Vibrate works.
Speaker is on etc but no ring, sounds, anything.
Any ideas?
Also - is there a way to get rid of the start-up flash that shows TEST ONLY, NOT FOR SALE ?

1. Click on the link in my sig. go to radios folder, then 6.1 radios, d/l one and flash it. you are using a 6.0 radio and it wont work.
2. while there, pick a splash screen and flash it as well.

Its been only communicated a 100 times that it is currently not possible to downgrade from this radio ... it locks you in. So have fun until some one can find a solution ...

Man the only thing I hate about forums is how some ppl love to jump all over another. Talk about wasting space. Here is an idea if it was a waste of time why did you waste more posting. if you have nothing to contribute to the thread then don't and when anyone comes to view they will see the one post and the date and figure either no answer or the guy did not read. Or notify a mod to close and send a warning to the guy if it is that bad.
When I saw Alltheway's sig I was curious how he did it but never saw a post on it. I never asked as I did not need the downgrade.
If we all tried to be a little more patient we could all benefit from each other.

He did a warranty exchange on his phone. That's how he got rid of it.

Wondered how you got rid of the radio.
My USB port is trashed (thanks Seidio desk charger) so it is stuck with OliPof. I was thinking of bricking it just to be sure they would exchange it since they might consider the USB port as user damage. I've got some high field magnets hanging around with nothing to do.

brother if you decide to this, (send it with the broken usb port without bricking it) or if you decide to sent it bricked, plz update it on this thread or pm me, as i am on the same boat as you but im not sure wether to send it or not. im also afraid to receive a refurbished tilt.

that's why you should do your research 1st (and sorry if somebody else did that to your phone, or you acquired the phone in that state).
good thing we've got experts here and there's hope, try this (minimal risk, nothing to lose as you're already stuck with that version of radio - what's the worse thing that can happen) :
connect to mtty to your kaiser (sorry you have to do the reading on how to do that), when you see the prompt, type "task 2a" (w/o quotes) then press "enter", wait until you see "OK"

AT&T Tilt Unlock walk through

So it took me many hours to figure this out, and I am sure there are some people staying up late at night trying to unlock there AT&T tilt's. You may succeed in unlocking your tilt, but what happened to your camera? Or what happened to your calls? Its all messed up right?
Thats what XDA developers would like to call, the "Radio". Your radio is not liking your phone so it acts up.
Long story short, start here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375583 with the Kaiser unlock. Follow all of that mumbo jumbo than when your done, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421007. This second link is the original radio for your tilt that will pretty much restore the phone to its normal radio, yet keep your phone unlocked and kick BUTT!!!!!
Enjoy and if there is there is anybody you should donate to it would be either of those links
NOTE!!!!!! The second link can be performed ONLY on the AT&T tilt. Not the TYTN II, or any other type, just the Tilt.

Truth be told, I am a noobie just getting the hang of it all
the purpose of this thread was to save some people some time. I spent many hours on my phone, and once i found the solution, I decided to spread the word. If I did something wrong or could have posted this in a better fashion, than please, somebody let me know. Besides that.

Well you could just flash the rom over it, unless youve changed a bunch of other stuff (because you'd lose the other changes)
Or you could make a morph zip and apply it yourself

I have never used MetaMorph for sanity purposes, but you could always just flash a update.zip over it, with the black status bar. or I'm guessing if you changed it to white in MetaMorph, Im sure theres a way to change it to black.

always make a nandroid backup before applying any changes to your phone. that way you can restore back.
