The ROM upgrade to 6.1 went well and it looks great (outstanding work!).
I have no sound at all now.
Vibrate works.
Speaker is on etc but no ring, sounds, anything.
Any ideas?
Also - is there a way to get rid of the start-up flash that shows TEST ONLY, NOT FOR SALE ?

1. Click on the link in my sig. go to radios folder, then 6.1 radios, d/l one and flash it. you are using a 6.0 radio and it wont work.
2. while there, pick a splash screen and flash it as well.

Well it had to happen, in fairness, I know announcements are sometimes overlooked. Maybe they should be in 72pt extra large BOLD or something.
Actually I think I will leave this thread to drift around, just in case others fail to see the announcement. It will save folks having to answer if others have the same question.

I think the 72pt font also needs to flashing and changing colors to really get people attention...because obviously reading is a lost art in this day and age.

Well, maybe not so, AllTheWay. I mean I feel kind of sorry for the poor guy. I mean, obviously he can't read and he has such a nice device. I can only imagine what contract he signed for his cellular service. It probably has an ETF of his first born or a kidney or something.
Maybe if the default announcements would show as a PM notice (that couldn't be turned off until a user hit's x number of posts) with a sexy man or woman (don't want to discriminate ) that reads the announcement with word highlighting for the user to follow along with. Maybe then people will actually read...

most people nowaday prefer to ask questions and want to get answer right there. They dont read anymore, not even skim/scan. Next time if you have an announcement, create a flash movie with audio that speaks what you want and put it up here. If they dont read the word in the flash movie, they could still hear.
Asked a few times on Dutty's April thread and also sent a PM (although I didn't expect a reply from the PM)
My question is/was:
Is there going to be another Dutty ROM for the Kaiser? or is the April one the last. As there was a few minor problems with it there was mention he was going to do another but no one seems to be saying least of all Dutty - course I did read he was chilling for a bit.

He did say in one of the threads that he was getting a new device so development might slow down on his kaiser roms. If I was reading between the lines I would guess he's looking to move on. But I'm not a mind reader and so will take whatever he says literally, but really it's none of my business whether he continues or not.
If you'd have read the threads properly you would have noticed him mentioning this, he has done so more than once. Anyway, take it easy, but really this goes against the grain of the community, i.e. 'giving', none of the cooks owe us anything so we shouldn't be chasing them up with whether they're releasing a new ROM not.

MY girlfriend and I have gotten into watching alot of asian horror, and have branched out into other countries as well.
Check out "El Orfanto", The Orphanage, a very good ghost story from Spain.
If you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth, or really anything by Guillermo del Toro, you should check it out.
I must say that most of the asian horror is sort of "out there" and doesn't make as much of an impact to western sensibilities... good acting, pacing, but much left unexplained. One that isn't exactly "horror" but just an awesome, messed up story...see Oldboy, a korean film.

So it took me many hours to figure this out, and I am sure there are some people staying up late at night trying to unlock there AT&T tilt's. You may succeed in unlocking your tilt, but what happened to your camera? Or what happened to your calls? Its all messed up right?
Thats what XDA developers would like to call, the "Radio". Your radio is not liking your phone so it acts up.
Long story short, start here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375583 with the Kaiser unlock. Follow all of that mumbo jumbo than when your done, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421007. This second link is the original radio for your tilt that will pretty much restore the phone to its normal radio, yet keep your phone unlocked and kick BUTT!!!!!
Enjoy and if there is there is anybody you should donate to it would be either of those links
NOTE!!!!!! The second link can be performed ONLY on the AT&T tilt. Not the TYTN II, or any other type, just the Tilt.

Truth be told, I am a noobie just getting the hang of it all
the purpose of this thread was to save some people some time. I spent many hours on my phone, and once i found the solution, I decided to spread the word. If I did something wrong or could have posted this in a better fashion, than please, somebody let me know. Besides that.

So I am upgrading my phone soon, but I'm wondering about my old one. I'd like to keep it around. It will no longer have CDMA access, but wifi will still work. Is there a way to disable (permanently?) the CDMA radio so it does not consume power and only the WIFI radio works?
Also, a paranoia note, what if I don't want the CDMA radio to work because I'm a freak and afraid "they" might remotely disable my phone, or yada yada yada...

easiest way, is not disable the cdma entirely but put a stock rom or nfinite fxs rom on it, do ##3282# and change the min/mdn to random numbers (preferrable: 0000000 and 0000000 ) and wala, phone is no longer associated with your account and it cant be 'remotely' disabled
I will give that some thought and try it! I appreciate the response, unlike the other posters. I cannot wait until I get 100 or so posts under my belt so I can be a jerk to people as well!

Airplane mode is called that for a reason it disables all wireless communication INCLUDING WiFi for when, you guessed it, your on an Airplane so that it doesnt fux with the airplanes electronics! As far as them remotely disabling a disabled phone, that WONT happen, but just to calm the fears, thats how its done.
As far as the OP, you COULD flash that phone over to PagePlus and use it as a backup phone , I have a guide on howto do it

Also, to the original poster. Keep both phones. That way you have a back up in case the new one fails or gets lost and you don't have to pay insurance. Assuming you're on Sprint, you get the Premier Customer upgrade every 12 months.

I know the developers of swype have repectfully asked xda-developers.com to remove the .apk and consider it warez. You guys realize that you just look like security guards, right? No real power, but love to think you do by being sarcastic flamers. You're annoying for no other reason than to think you're somebody you're clearly not. You took time to be annoyed instead of continuing to scroll. Maybe if you left your parents' basement for an hour, you would realize how ridiculous you look to people with lives.
That being said I would love to see a port and will offer to add to the bounty. Thanks OP for getting this started.

I would say something as witty as you have, except my mom is on her way down the stairs right now to bring me a box of Little Debbie Snack Cakes while I watch some Star Trek.
I am obliged to reprimand the OP bit because I think WP8 on our phone would be awesome, I don't mind seeing this here. And I am glad everyone now knows about this. I bet there are many others interested.

Whether or not they are being like security guards, they are right about this going in general. As there is currently no actual development taking place, this is just a thread clogging the dev section. Until there is at least a preview build, this should be moved. Honest mistake by the op. Mod, please move or close the thread.

I mentioned this in one of the other threads, but the Ativ S was seen on the Verizon roadmap. I believe that would simplify some of the process in porting it.

Now, according to somebody in the HD2 forum, it would be difficult because, "the problem is going to be to hack the security and flash HSPL then magldr over that new bootloader." I've no clue what that means. :shrug:

I agree, OP, you should change the title of the thread to include the word "bounty" in it. I would be willing to put $30 toward this if it can be done.
