I have installed emoze on my desktop and mobile device.
Everything works fine, however the appointments in Outlook does not have the same time as on the mobile device!!
When I make an appointment in Outlook, the same appointment appears in my device directly but the starttime on the the device is 1 hour earlier.
When I make an appointment on the device, the same appointment appears in Outlook but then 1 hour later.
The time on the desktop and device is the same.
How to solve this??

I too having the same problem, and have been searching for solution. I hate to manually change the time on my mobile phone. So any solution would be great!
Changing the time on my device doesnt work because Emoze changes the time directly also in Outlook, but again with an hour difference....

Hi there,
I've restored appointments from Outlook onto my Dopod900. Thing is, the timing of them all has been advanced by 7 hours. So, all day appointments now span over 2 days from 7am to 7am. How can I fix this?
thanks, philg
Are you sure you've setup the time-zone correct?
M
Not sure. Something has got screwed up along the way. Any idea of a fix- either on my pc or pda?
Thanks. philg
Are both your PC & PPC now 7 hours advanced?
M
No. They both have the same time and timezone. Problem lies with a restore of my PIM databases to Outlook (ref my other thread). The Outlook archive of my PIM data was done on a machine with a 7 hour time difference compared to mine.
I think I will need to restore the Outlook archive on my desktop after setting the time and timezone to be GMT+1. Then sync to my pcc which is set at GMT+8... Will give it a go.
Regards,
philg
Hi all, I have a sync problem here just wonder if anyone has the same problem. I installed Faria's WM6 some time back and it was fine syncing with XP. Recently I upgraded my XP to vista and installed mobile device synchronisation center and I tried to sync with outlook 2007.
The device seemed to be unable to sync as the sync center said syncing in progress for a long long time. I waited 1 hour once before I unplugged it. I found that by selecting only files and notes, I was able to sync in less than 5 minutes. However if I selected to sync contacts, tasks or calendars the device would be unable to sync. I created a new outlook data file which was empty and tried to sync again but unsuccessful. I hope not to have to do a hard reset to try to sync so if anyone got any ideas I would be happy to try them.
you could try syncing to MS Excgange server for now (port88.org) ... for calendr, try goosync
i dont require email sync and i dont really want to have to find individual solutions for calendar, contacts or tasks. any other suggestions to solve my syncing issue?
Hi, I need some assistance with an activesync issue. My PIM.VOL file got too large. I deleted it. Archived some of my appointments on my PC and now when I try to re-sync the data, activesync appears to only add 100 of my old appointments with each sync connection. The problem is that I have over 1,500. How do I force a full re-sync of the whole calendar file?
I know this is a pretty 'old' topic..
But I ran into the same issue this week.
Anybody know how to resolve this???
This looks like something similar to what I went through. I was trying to sync my Outlook 2007 Contacts, Appointments, etc., from Windows Vista, to my ATT Tilt and it was only copying (about) 50% of the data to the phone. On a whim I decided to see if my PST needed a repair. So, I ran SCANPST.EXE, it detected and proceeded to fix errors, and all my contacts seem to be on the phone now.
Unfortunately (?) I don't sync with my Outlook, but with Exchange 2007 SP1 directly over wlan...
It syncs exactly 100 appointments, waits for about ten minutes, asks for my login credentials and does another 100. And keeps on doing that until it's finished (I guess), I've not waited/tried till it said 'finished'...

Why not wait until it finishes to see if you're, at least, copying them all over? If not, then it's plan B...
Tried that yesterday.... Started at 7pm and quit at 1am.... At that point it was (maybe) 60% done... That was late enough for me...
The problem seems to be solved now....
Somehow the setup of Exchange entered the fqdn of the server in the internal address for ActiveSync instead of the url my exchange is on...
If it is solved I will post it here within a day...
Later that day....
No issues, popups etc so far.. Also changed the syncing period to 6 months instead of 'All'... Maybe that helped too....
Glad to hear that you're up and running. I know that when I was having the problem, I was pulling what hair I have left, out.
I have HTC Fuze I purchase two weeks ago and having problems with Activesync.
I've installed the software and hook the usb to the computer and it sync just fine.
The next day I tried to sync, it didn't reconize my profile from previous day and made me do another one.
It worked for a couple days, now it says I have two profiles on the device and I need to delete one to sync.
Why is the Activesync not recognizing the very first one I did?
I'm assuming you are getting an error code. It would help if you could tell us the specific code #. It would narrow it down.
Also, are you using Activesync 4.5? Which would be the most recent. My last question is, which Windows Mobile are you using? If you are using WM 6.1 it has a bug which causes problems with Activesync, if you have more than 100 of any category of item that is being synced. Contacts, appointments, notes, etc.
One possibility for why it didn't recognize your profile, have you made any significant changes in your phone during this time?
When you delete one of the profiles, make sure you not only delete the profile on your PC, make sure you delete the extra profile(s) on the activesync on your phone.
I'm not getting an error code, I get the "welcome to Pocket PC Wizard" and it wants me to set the device up all over again.
I am using ActiveSync 4.5 and WM 6.1.
When it sync, I have 54 contacts and 28 calendar events, so it didn't reach the 100 you were talking about.
I did delete everything from the device and PC last night when I set the lastest profile up.
I just plug the USB to the device again today and it pop open the "Welcome to Pocket PC Wizard". I just set everything up last night.
I guess until they fix the bug, I will always have to do this.
Hello everybody,
I have an issue with my HTC Diamond and my contact's birthday date!
On MS Outlook 2003 (french release), birthday is ok (ie : 20 Oct. 79).
On the Diamond, it appears to be shifted 1 day in the past (ie : 19 OCt. 79)
Both PC & PDA are on the same time fuse (GMT+1 Paris), the date is the same, and the time is also the same !
I'm lost and it's driving me crazy... I already saved my contacts on the PC, then delete all of them in Outlook, the sync, and delete the sync parameters in PDA & PC, and import them back, but still not working.
Does someone already had the same problem ?
Regards
Sync time is decided by outlook's time preferences, not by the default cpu clock.
try to change the calendar's time to meet your requirements.
I already checked, and outlook calendar time is matching with both PC and PDA's.
So it seems the problem is not there
Might be a "daylight saving time" setting, not sure where to change it though...
edit; oops, thats only an hour difference, not a day, sorry
a workaround for this can be..
1. open outlook
2. go to tools/options/calendar options/time zone/change calendar time zone
3. change the time zone to fit the delay
this should change all your appointments..
but maybe you should go thru all calendar options over there to see you didn't miss anything
