Anyone managed to upgrade Orange M600 to Imate Rom?

Has anyone managed to upgrade a Orange M600 to the Imate Rom using the ROMUpdateUtility.exe on this forum?

yes, i used imei check to unlock and and set the cid, then used the latest imate rom (2.13.9.23 WWE)
It is much faster in general use and i am sure the screen redraw in tomtom 5 is smoother. other added bonus is no more orange branding!
You can use a modified RUU utility that is posted here bypass the need to change the cid, but you will still be simlocked

I also have a UK orange M600 locked to Orange and would like to put the I-Mate rom onto it.
What files to I need to get.
What is cid
Do I need to have my phone unlocked 1st.
Could someone please give me a step by step how to instruction on how the process is done.
Is it totally successful in all ways.ie does everything work.
Can I make a backup of the original rom.

Got my M600 today and flashed it straight to the Imate Rom. Always prefered the Imate software.
No you dont need to unlock the phone before flashing. just search the forum for the guide and file needed to flash any Rom. Very easy.

i want to upgrade a imate sp5m to wm6
i have used this karhoe.net/guide-upgrading-htc-tornado-to-windows-mobile-6
but i go stuck on step5 spv site is not working anymore
can someone please give me a tutorial to a working guide with the newest wm6.x what is possible for this phone
so that i can upgrade to windows mobile 6.x??

Karhoe's guide is the bes,t always stick to it. If you like WM standard then you can try Gregory's mw6.5 it is quite stable and good(may be best). If you want to try on a Pro one then Kamikadze's mw6.1 Pro is very stable, fast and wonderful. I personally have good experience with both on my sp5m.
But never try to flash before SuperCID, never run format ALL. First you read all the risk associated, otherwise your phone will become a paperweight (expensive paperweight). Good luck

There are reports about an offline tooling for putting the SuperCID on the device. It seems to be designed for the Wizard originally but also reported working for other devices, including the Tornado.
Look up this forum and search for "lokiwiz02_173.zip".
I have not done this myself as my device is already SuperCID.
So you are doing this at your own risk.

* If you cannot use SPV-Developers SuperCID tools, download this tool and use the alternative method. Then do the following.
- Keep your Tornado connected to ActiveSync.
- Extract it with WinRAR etc.
- Open the Lokiwiz.exe
- When you opend the Lokiwiz.exe you will get a black DOS screen with 4 options:
U. Unlock
L. Lock
C. Cid Unlock (SuperCID)
Q. Quit
Press C and then Enter. A few seconds later your phone is SuperCID...!!!

K-Jam, upgrade problem

Hi, I've been to the wiki page and downloaded the cid unlocker, T-Mobile rom, Lokiwiz and the Hornet 6.1 rom. I actually wanted a touch flo rom but every link seems to be dead. My ipl and spl are both 2.16.0001 so I have a G4. I have recently changed providers (I'm in New Zealand) so I take it my phone must be unlocked?
My problem is I'm using Windows 7 and so the windows mobile centre but when I use the "custom-ruu-wizard-1050412" program. I get part way through the installation and windows tells me the program has stopped working and recommends I close the program or check online and when I check online it just shuts down...help!!!
What am I doing wrong?

Orange SPV M500 - stuck at bootloader

I have a Orange SPV M500 and i have decided to flash it.
I've been trying to do it by myself, following the tutorials from this forum, but unfortunately my phone in the bootloader after i press next in the "you have this ... and it's gonna be uploaded to this ...." screen.
When I reboot it, I get this information
R 1.05.10
G 1337.39
D 1.06.00 WEE
I've been using a Windows 7 and a Vista with the Windows Mobile Device Center to do this (since i don't have a XP, although I did tried to use one, from a friend of mine, only to get the 120 error)
i've tried a lot of different rom's and radio's only to get stuck at the bootloader.
can anyone help please? i would reaaaaly like to be able to do this...

go back to your frind's xp machine (recharge battery before)
extract rom somewhere (you need to se files os.nbf, radio_.nbf, ms_.nbf and some other files)
download this file and place it to same folder and execute it
and enjoy you magician

I finally got it working but now I'm having difficulty in unlocking the phone. Can someone help on that? I've followed every tutorial using the unlocker software. So does anyone has any tip on how to do it in the Orange SPV M500?

SPV E650 SDA Ap Unlock from SDCard possible ?

I need to change the carrier rom of my SPV E650 to a wm6.1 ...and first i need to make a app unlock.
My problem is, that his mini-USB port is broken...and my only solution is via sd-card.....So my question is...can be done an app unlock via sd card? Please i need some help...i cant run haret on this wm6.0 carrier rom...and i want to do some test with my new fresh compiled kernel...i'm trying to boot debian on it(old version)

A broken USB is no problem as you can connect via BT to the PC. This allows haret to start once you have it app-unlocked. A recent thread here has shown however that Orange E650 app-unlocking seems not possible. Please follow up all the recommendations given in that thread.
If USB is broken I doubt you will suceed after that however.

is there any way to make Haret application to run on orange carrier rom?
