Bricked, betcha - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Hardspl wouldn't load, so I did the work around (white screen).
Follwed the instructions. All went well.
Burned Blackwoodv1 onto the phone. Phone rebooted.
Customization screen came up, asked if I wanted to run "removehiddenproxy" or something like that. I ran it...
Phone shut off.
Now I get the AT&T screen over and over and over.
The device never starts. No bootloader.
Any ideas, or do I send it back and hope for the best?

Um... Not more than a few pages back, was an answer- just the power key and camera key together got it to a boot loader Now I'm going to try to flash the radio.

Rats. After the radio flash and re-flash, same thing. Rats.

Flash a standard HTC rom, see if that works. Sounds like you have a bad rom & radio combo. I had the same problem with my Mogul once.

flash an OS not a radio

read the kaiser wiki, it helps

Closed, betcha
Yep, you answer lies within the threads (or google).
Sorry to do this to you but I have no choice.
Suggest going to one of these threads:
1) The thread on Hard SPL
2) The thread on Jump SPL
3) The thread on the specific Rom you are trying to use
4) The Kaiser Wiki.

Flash without hardspl

I have an unusual problem with my oem att tilt running SPL-1.56.0000 (according to the bootloader screen).
The ROM is somehow corrupted in that it will not boot past the giant ATT logo and coordinates (?) screen. I have been having some trouble with the device, but this is a new occurrence not related to anything I did. I have never reflashed the ROM, and because it is in a current hosed state I cannot run hardspl on the device.
I have tried reloading many of the "ATT OEM" ROMs I can find, but they all return "Invalid ID" error the ROM uploader I believe because the versions don't match.
Is there any way to reflash the ROM and bootloader on the device without having first run hardspl? Am I SOL?
Thanks
RK
Did you try going to tri-color first then flashing a stock tilt rom?
Dude, I have the same problem...
I bought the tilt 2 weeks when I was in a business travel in the US and came back to Argentina... I'm kind of screwed about the warranty 'cause I don't think I'll go again so soon to the US...
Is there anybody who can help us with this?
The very diference is that (At the ATT start up Logo screen) the bottom line says D 1.57.00.00 instead of D 1.56.00.00.
Tried everything... soft reset, hard reset... and so on...
The thing is that at some point I think I can get to the phone in some way since if I turn on the phone keeping pressed the camera button and enter in the rom loader screen I can get comm to the phone using mtty (As pof explained to do for "Un-brick" the phone (In the case you got a bad flashing) in this thread...
So, please If anybody have any idea it would be great!
I still have a little hope, because it's like there is some kind of communication between the phone and the computer...
Thanks in advance to any help.
A.
both of you...
Check my sticky thread for reverting back to the stock tilt ROM and SPL...
all you really need from there is the Stock ATT ROM... download it!
Put your phone in Bootloader (shouldn't be too difficult by the sounds of it)
Install the stock ATT ROM.
If this doesn't work try extracting the downloaded ROM (using WinRAR or similar) then just run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
Then you might want to consider installing HardSPL... the default download should work for the 1.56 guy. The 1.57 guy will need to download jwocky2001's whitescreen fix (check the stickies).
Good Luck!
I am at the tricolor screen and I have tried the instructions on your thread (thanks very much for making it so easy). However, it says invalid vendor ID after loading 1%; the device automatically reboots and reverts back to the ATT screen until I place it back into the tricolor bootloader again. I thought this was because the version I'm running is 1.56 and I could only find two original OEM ATT ROMs, neither was 1.56 and both failed.
BTW I couldn't do the part about hardspl and running the kaiser program on the device for obvious reasons, but I could get the kaiserruu program to recognize the device, another ROM and attempt to upload it.
Any other thoughts? Do I really need the exact same ATT OEM ROM as what is on the device or is something else wrong?
Thanks again
RK

hi cosmic
i have read that thread, and part two of that thread states to remove my sim and sd card. As soon as i remove my sim the phone locks and shuts down.
I have the Att tilt with the following info:
rom version: 1.57.502.2
radio: 1.27.12.11
protocol: 22.45.88.07h
so can any one help me out? also is it possible to use this att radio with dutty's newest wm6 rom (Ruu_Signed_Duttys_WM6.1_Official_1.58.16.27)
thanks
Hi guys
i tried running hardspl on my att tilt but got stuck at the white screen. i looked around and found info on how to do it but in those instructions it says that remove sim and sd. however when i remove my sim phone locks up and shuts down.
can any one assist plz?
also will the att radio that comes on tilt will it work on duty's latest rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354061
maybe here?
First, shut down your phone and only then remove the SIM & SD.
Then, start up your phone and wait until you see the home screen. Follow the HardSPL guide again and install HardSPL.
Concerning your Radio and Dutty's latest ROM: I guess you're talking about the following ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383638
The ROM already has a Radio 'builtin'. Your Kaiser was shipped with with a WM6.0 Radio. That isn't compatible with Dutty's latest ROM, since it's based on the WM6.1 ROM. But don't worry about all this, since Dutty's ROM is already shipped with a Radio.
Hope this helps...
hardspl and kaiserunlocker
quick question if i use hardspl do i still need to run kaiserunlocker or vice versa? i am new to rom flashing and i have been doing alot of reading around the forums but i didn't see any clarification on the differences between two.
Any help/tips will be appreicated. Also upgrading or flashing my device doesn't hurt the device itself does it (i.e makes it run slower or causes unexpected behaviours etc.)
thanks
if u wanna flash rom you need hardspl install. kaiserunlocker i believe is used to unlock your phone to work with any sim. I'd read more before flashing.
JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe need help on this
Hi everyone:
Okay here is how i started to get my tilt ready for flashing:
i ran pof's hardspl (the latest ver which i believe was 2) and got stuck at the white screen. Than after help through fellow users and reading the forum i found a post that had diagnosis for curing the "white screen disease". I followed the medicinal instructions and after unzipping the files that the post says to download (which is this post by the way) i ran jumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe. I got to the tricolor screen (which i assume is the bootloader??) and unplugged the usb and replugged it per instructions and than i ran KaiserCustomRUU.exe file however when i launched the file it said make sure active sync is green which it wasn't as per instructions of the above stated post i unplugged/plugged usb and it stopped registering phone. so i reestablished connection but than KaiserCustomRUU.exe couldn't read my device.
I haven't done anything yet but after reading the more i learned how to get to the tri-color screen (hold camera putton power on) and here is the info displayed on the screen:
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
and with usb unplugged on bottom it says "serial". And from here i need direction- does this mean i have "hardspl" or can i run KaiserCustomRUU.exe again to flash hardspl onto my phone? or if its already there am i ready to flash a rom onto my tilt?
Thanks for any help any of you can provide.
I'm no expert, but I don't think you have hardspl yet. Which you already know you need. You sound like you might have read this already, but if not: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser#ROMx20.Upgrading. Good luck, and be careful.
First, you can read the instructions in the wiki a little better if this isn't clear.
Unplug your device before you run the program on your kaiser.
Run it, then plug it in.
It should say serial on the bottom before it's plugged in then after you plug it in it will say USB.
At this point activesync won't be green because it's NOT connected to activesync. The instructions are a little different from the straight bootloader to the WHITE SCREEN fix. Read carefully.
Read all then when you get down to "ROM Upgrading" you'll see the basics of what you need to know as well as the steps for putting Hard-SPL on your kaiser.
Kaiser Wiki with basicly everything you'll need to know.

Merged 4 threads into 1...
Dude, seriously check the links in my signature.
8 posts, 6 threads? that qualifies you as a "Serial Threader"
I've combined the 4 threads (posted across 3 forums) where you asked for help getting HardSPL on your Kaiser. You should have posted your question in one of the HardSPL threads that already exist.
I'm closing this thread.

Noob question about flashing (sorry, I DID read the stickies!)

Ok here goes. Be nice, I'm new...
I have a Stellar in front of me (or Kaiser, TyTynII etc) which has managed to get itself into Boot Loader. I'm usually pretty good at getting these out of it but this one has me stumped, and I'm hoping someone may be able to give me some suggestions, or confirm my suspicions that it is kaput.
It's in Serial mode at the moment, showing
KAIS130
SPL-1.82.0000
CPLD-8
on the top of the screen.
So I plugged it into the computer and it nicely popped into USB mode which then let me flash it, using the file: RUU_Kaiser_O2_UK_1.82.206.1_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.32_Ship
This appeared to take, started the process, splash screen loaded, windows mobile loaded OK and for all intents and purposes was back at the factory reset (which is what I wanted). HOWEVER.....when I performed a soft reset it went back into Boot Loader and I'm now back at square one.
Any ideas? I can't install any homebrew ROMs on this, it HAS to be the standard ROM for reasons I'm not at liberty to post here (don't worry nothing illegal is going on, suffice to say, I shouldn't really be here!)
I have at least 2 others that are doing similar as well and would like to get these fixed also. All help/comments gratefully received and I apologise again if this is covered somewhere else.
It seems you have not done any SPL hard flashing yet.
Did you really read the Flashing for Noob sticky ? It's there .. first you need to do hard SPL, SIM/CID Unlock, then only you can change your ROM to anything.
Please go back and re-read.
Sorry. Will this do anything bad to the device, only I've never done anything like that before, I've just run the ROM flash file. I've never had to do anything like you suggested before. It needs to be put back to factory as it is going to get allocated to someone - which means I then have to install a clone over the top of this.....sorry if I'm being thick. I did read the document you suggested but that resulted in me getting more confused.
If this is not the right place for me to be, please feel free to close this thread and I'll keep looking elsewhere. Cheers.
Hi,
First of all: what do you want to do? Read this to clarify your intention
Take your time, read through the WIKI first.
After that, if you still want to flash, go to the Noob sticky.
If you don't have the passion, I'd suggest just use the phone as from factory. Reading the Wiki still will give you insight and many good tips/tricks without flashing.
Edit to addI apologize.
After re-reading again, it seems that what you're trying to do is reviving the dead Kaiser. From the SPL version, it's not yet 6.1. You can check out here to see any other official ROM matches, which what you currently use seemed to be correct.
Mod, please merge this with Kaiser stuck at Bootloader thread ..
Good luck.
Edit 2
It seems that when you did a soft reset (by pushing at the small hole using stylus?), the other two buttons (camera + power) are still pressed (or due to hardware, kept being pressed), thus resulting in boot loader displayed again?
Well that's why I couldn't work out why I couldn't get the ROM to stay.....this has never happened before! So yes, I am trying to revive a seemingly busted Kaiser. The customer handed it to me in Boot Loader mode. Usually running the RUU fixes this and we can then go about rebuilding it. However in this case it really doesn't want the factory ROM but I need it to! I can quite easily get it into USB mode and flash it by running the .exe file on my desktop - but then that's about all I can do. I can't give it back to the customer as the next time he performs a soft reset or switches it off, it'll be back in Boot Loader...ARGH!
Oh, and apology accepted!
And another thing, I just tried running the exe file again and got as far as the screen alignment and the poxy thing just locked....cue soft reset and back to Boot Loader. Me not happy.
Edit: A quick check of the Hardware and all the buttons appear to be OK - nothing looks like it's stuck down
If you want to take the looooong road, perhaps you can do flashing Hard SPL, unlock SIM/CID and then flashing any other ROM/Radio. Once you get a stable working device, you can flash back the OEM using this method
I'm not sure if this custom RUU can help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334890
I haven't tried that, so it's just an idea for now.
Thread closed.
If you are still having problems with the bootloader check out my sticky.
If you need help with the flashing process check out mskip's sticky.
Only create a new thread for new issues that have not been discussed before.
Good luck

Phone won't autosync - How do I load new ROM?

I'm totally new to flashing phones, but having trouble with my touchpro.
When I load it up, it gets to a screen with the HTC logo and will not load my today screen. It's sluggish, won't autosync, and frustrating the hell out of me to be quite honest lol. The messaging and phone still works. Haven't tried the internet yet but everything takes ages to load. Also my unlock code to get into EPST (000000) will not take. Weird.
Anyways, I've decided I've had enough (this happened before) and just want to flash a new ROM to the phone. I've read the flashing for noobs article and it told me to autosync it up and use Hard-SPL. But I can't autosync - how should I go about doing this?
I'm not worried about backing anything up. I can get all my numbers back there eventually...
I mentioned that this problem has occurred with my phone before...usually I waited a day or two and the Today screen just showed up...but it's been a few days and it's not coming back....I think I am using Hofos or Holos or something like that as my current ROM for Cricket service if that helps....
Put your phone into bootloader mode (soft reset while holding down the power and volume down hard keys). You'll come to a tri-color screen that should read "serial" at the bottom. Connect phone to your computer and wait till it "serial" changes to "USB". Now run the Update Utility to flash the hard-spl and repeat for a new rom after unlocking it.
you can also do an SD card flash. check out the sticky for details.
I've never flashed HardSPL to the phone (at least not that I am aware of - I got this phone from someone else)...Will the bootloader still come up at first? And can I flash the phone without having hardspl on it?

Put the phone in bootloader. On the tri-colored screen, you should see SPL - 1.90 OLIPRO. If not, then the phone isnt unlocked. The phone has to be unlocked in order to flash a custom rom. Check the ROM development thread for more information. I should add that you need to make sure you have a CDMA phone or GSM phone. They use different unlockers. The OLIPRO one I mentioned above is GSM. The CDMA reads SPL - 0.37 CMONEX.
Cricket is cdma, isn't it? You better do some reading before flashing, because the single most critical thing you will do is flash hard spl. If you flash the wrong one, there is no going back and your phone will be toast. Go to PPC Geeks or the cdma forum here, and make sure you stay well away from the 1.90 Olinex hard spl.

How to get my TP flashing again

Hi everyone,
So I updated the stock SPL back to my phone while having a CDMA rom on my device. Looks not like a problem at all, but appearantly it is when your phone is not a CDMA rom After that the phone won't boot anymore.
Since then I am not able to update my device to ANY rom, not even the stock rom. The updater keeps giving me the famous 262 error and hangs at 0% of the update. XDA-user orfeo_b has messaged me a while ago that he had a task29 program for windows 7 to format my phone. But he didn't respond to my message. So my question is: is there anybody who has this program for my phone? and if not, is there any other possibility to empty/format my phone?
Why did you create two threads in the same forum? (THREAD LINK)
You not want to post HERE, did you even bother to do any searching in HERE
You do know the FUZE is GSM, correct?

sorry, a second after saving I realised that my topic was a question so I posted the topic again accidentally.. I searched the whole forum for weeks but didn't find any solution. As I said, I accidentally flashed a CDMA rom to my GSM phone.
User benjamminzIS started the thread HERE
Perhaps give that a once or twice over and see if it works for you. Be sure to leave some feed back if it does!
Additionally, I must confess that I skimmed your post because you posted twice and didn't think anything of it after the fact. So I apologize if I came off slightly rude. Was not my intent!
There's a pretty good chance your phone is dead now. Flashing the stock spl after bricking your phone with a cdma rom is probably the worst thing you could have done. What were you thinking? With the stock spl, you can't flash task 29, or anything, for that matter. I guess you can try flashing hard spl, but you have to keep in mind that this 'stock spl' is not in fact the real stock spl (it's a patched stock spl that is capable of over-writing the hard spl). I'm not sure if it can be over-written with hard spl; I guess you'll find out. If you had read any of the posts on reverting to stock for warranty purposes, you would have seen that the absolute last step is flashing the 'stock spl', because once you do that, the device is locked.
Now, if you also flashed a cdma 'stock spl', then you can definitely throw the phone away.
