Is this device capable of being flashed to anything higher than the original OS from Orange?

hello ive recently reflashed my orange spv c600 with the iMate SP5 rom, however i now want to return it to the orange AKU2 rom. how do i go about reflashing as the RUU states that the rom is for upgrade only
Hi guys before I start, I have read numerous posts and tried to do as much reading before writing this, but my findings are not conclusive.
I have just got a new M600, so it’s locked to Orange and has no rom alterations done.
I want to upgrade my rom as I don’t like the Orange stuff in there anyway and I was very happy with a Qtek rom on my M500.
1 Do I need to sim unlock the phone, to rom upgrade?
2 Can I just upgrade using the files as in post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=49298
3 There’s talk of the CID being unlocked, does this need to be done, before upgrade.
4 There is no sure way of backing up existing rom?.
5 Once upgraded, is the phone still sim locked.
Basically I don’t want a brick sitting on my desktop.

I too want to update my Orange France SPV M600 freshly bought this week but i don't know if i need to CID unlock the phone before upgrading with a Qtek rom.
And another n00b question: is there a list somewhere with the new features of the roms ?

I too want to update my Orange France SPV M600 but my Orange France SPV M600 is now in 3 line color and numberis: IPL 2.10.0001 and SPL 2.G3
Reading the XDA-Wiki, you can see that a CID unlock is required for doing anything with ROMS. As a result, if you have a G3 phone, which you need to check, then follow the instructions here
If you have a G4 prohpet, then unfortunatley you cannot CID unlock the phone, thus no ROMS.
SIM unlock isnt required for ROM upgrades, but the CID criteria must be met.
Once again, if you had read the wiki, you would know that ROM backup is available here

Hi, i'm not sure that it remove cid lock neither sim lock.
I think it just remove security to install others applications...
I tried such tools on my spv c600 and it only remove security for installing others apps.

here in italy we don'te have a orange . but my c600 it's completly blocked,

I have an orange spv c600 that had orange sim. I no longer use the orange mobile (hated it) and want to use my O2 sim card instead. Now I've application unlocked the phone already using the methods found on forums, and when I use Checkit.exe it confirms that the phone is application unlocked, but I can't seem to get it unlocked to work with the O2 sim or any other sim even. I think the problem has something to do with the CID. I tried setting the CID to 11111111111, like it says to do in the SPV services but everytime I checked it nothing has changed. I'm using the I-mate Rom on the phone. Tried the Cingular 2125 but that didn't help.
Anyway help appreciated. Thanks.
