Well said!! I agree 100%. Everyone else here had to read and learn how to mod their windows mobile devices and so should he. I don't mind helping someone out when they honestly can't find what they are looking for and I know how to help but when someone just asks for everything to be handed to them, thats just lazy and they will never learn anything...

I have no problem (and fully understand) the difficulties people have in searching and posting if English is not their native language (I know I couldn't survivie reading and posting on a board in a foreign language!), but based on other recent posts by Cujo316, I don't believe this is the case (completely). He appears to be just asking for handouts without doing any research at all. In one case, a link was given to him, and he replied back that he couldn't find that. I think its more a case of where he wants things handed to him based on what I've seen.
(BTW: I'm assuming cujo316 is a "he". Sorry if thats not the case, but its a pretty safe assumption 99% of the time around here )

*NEW* Dutty ROM *NEW*

Asked a few times on Dutty's April thread and also sent a PM (although I didn't expect a reply from the PM)
My question is/was:
Is there going to be another Dutty ROM for the Kaiser? or is the April one the last. As there was a few minor problems with it there was mention he was going to do another but no one seems to be saying least of all Dutty - course I did read he was chilling for a bit.

If the cook doesn't answer you then just wait to see what he puts on the table. Unless your paying for the meal then be polite and don't bother the Chef. In short one would assume by your question that you have your pants custom made due to the sher size of your balls and I would bet their brass as well.

He did say in one of the threads that he was getting a new device so development might slow down on his kaiser roms. If I was reading between the lines I would guess he's looking to move on. But I'm not a mind reader and so will take whatever he says literally, but really it's none of my business whether he continues or not.
If you'd have read the threads properly you would have noticed him mentioning this, he has done so more than once. Anyway, take it easy, but really this goes against the grain of the community, i.e. 'giving', none of the cooks owe us anything so we shouldn't be chasing them up with whether they're releasing a new ROM not.

Ah ok...well if we are going to discuss something worthwhile... then by all means.
MY girlfriend and I have gotten into watching alot of asian horror, and have branched out into other countries as well.
Check out "El Orfanto", The Orphanage, a very good ghost story from Spain.
If you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth, or really anything by Guillermo del Toro, you should check it out.
I must say that most of the asian horror is sort of "out there" and doesn't make as much of an impact to western sensibilities... good acting, pacing, but much left unexplained. One that isn't exactly "horror" but just an awesome, messed up story...see Oldboy, a korean film.

I never said it was my business, and maybe it 'goes against the grain' but it was a perfectly legitimate question and was asked clearly with nothing other than, I'll wait if there is another on the way.. rather than install the 'last' ROM.

AT&T Tilt Unlock walk through

So it took me many hours to figure this out, and I am sure there are some people staying up late at night trying to unlock there AT&T tilt's. You may succeed in unlocking your tilt, but what happened to your camera? Or what happened to your calls? Its all messed up right?
Thats what XDA developers would like to call, the "Radio". Your radio is not liking your phone so it acts up.
Long story short, start here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375583 with the Kaiser unlock. Follow all of that mumbo jumbo than when your done, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421007. This second link is the original radio for your tilt that will pretty much restore the phone to its normal radio, yet keep your phone unlocked and kick BUTT!!!!!
Enjoy and if there is there is anybody you should donate to it would be either of those links
NOTE!!!!!! The second link can be performed ONLY on the AT&T tilt. Not the TYTN II, or any other type, just the Tilt.

Truth be told, I am a noobie just getting the hang of it all
the purpose of this thread was to save some people some time. I spent many hours on my phone, and once i found the solution, I decided to spread the word. If I did something wrong or could have posted this in a better fashion, than please, somebody let me know. Besides that.

no you did nothing wrong, and i to like your poll, but the mods might feel this thread is redundant because there are already thread/threads describing how to unlock a kaiser. i'm just glad your first thread was about this and not "which rom is best", i hate those

Maybe looking back, you should have kept all of your games in a single thread and maintained it there but at the same time, each app DOES justify a new thread as per the XDA-Developers.com rules AFAIK.

i have made games for qvgq vga and wvga i couldnt post them together because it takes me 1-3 weeks apart and by then my old thread would be gone from opening list. But now moderators are pm me saying keep spam down and one moderator said something that pissed me off.He said something about warez.How the hell could i be posting any warez if i made my own games?and all the games i made where 1 to 3 levels max.Wow i cracked a 3 level game.How dumb is it to say that when none of the games i made are for sale, thats just plain stupid.I just want all my stuff of here so when i go on google or yahoo i dont see my games on xda-developers.Xda-developers did say that if any developer requests thier items to be off thier site they will honor that.But i have asked and they have not honored.So i guess they not as honorable as they claim they are.

LOL your logic and responses are baffling. Don't flatter yourself, nobody is following you around the site. Nobody is in your face. Nobody cares. YOU are in OUR faces. Posting separate threads once a week for your incomplete games that nobody downloads, then posting every other month that you're done here. The fits and temper tantrums were entertaining at first, but now they're getting old.
I posted once in one of your game threads and once here. All i said was that you love mario, that you'd be better off keeping your games in one thread (apparently you don't understand the benefits of organization and unification), and that your domain name is awkwardly long. Then you reply with insults and obscenities. Because of that, i've had no problem being brutally honest with you.
Keep it up... your reputation is already ruined here, not that it was ever a good one in the first place. Nobody downloaded your games before, do you think they will start after your display of childishness here? Nope.

I suggest that you cool down request the MOD to delete this thread or close it.
Maybe you have the potential to make some really nice games.
But you need patience to make good things and you don;t need to get offended if someone does not like your work.
You need to be more determined to make something even better so that next time everyone likes it.
See if you just go on ranting swears which are not allowed on this forum and neither appreciated by anyone people will not start appreciating you people will only dislike you and then even if you make any good stuff looking at your track record people would not want to try it.

I need to make an apology. Another dev had to do this earlier and now it is my turn.
He was right. We are all a bit angry at people who are posting unnecessary things, but that is no excuse to be rude. I still maintain that this forum has one of the best communities, and I will not let anyone tell me otherwise. I started on this forum in april of this year. That is 4 months ago. Look what I have accomplished. I am nowhere near the level of some of our other devs, but I am so much better than I was then. I WAS a N00B. I was that person with a million questions.
I remember the first time I soft bricked. It was late at night and all of a sudden that beautiful boot animation that I just realized cold be changed started repeating itself after I tried to flash an update to scv5. I panicked. I opened up the lifehacker article on unbricking, posted a new thread with a stupid question, and I started to realize I had no money to buy a new phone. Bottom line is it was the end of the world for me.
But, thanks to all the wonderful people here, i got it fixed. My heartbeat was probably 200 while the fxz flashed, but I got it done
I now bootloop every other day practically. restoring is no problem. ICS was a whole different story, but that is not for here. That is when I had my first hardbrick. but once again thanks to the help of others I am now on scv7 with some mods to it.
To all of you who have posted stupid unnecessary things, and yes there are many I am sorry. as the Moderator Moscow Desire said in a PM after me posting a rude response that lead to me writing this "n00bs will always be at XDA. This is a fact of life. Yes, they post stupid things sometimes, and yes, they will always NEVER do a search or read other posts. It's always been like this. And yes, it gets frustrating at times."
We know you are out their. and we can try to stop it, but there will be people who do dumb things. But that is not an excuse for any of us to be rude to them. My mom always told me in school that there will always be bosses you hate just like your teachers, and coworkers you hate st like your classmates, so you might as well learn to get along with them. She was right. we just need to get along. For us devs there is an IRC channel, and believe me we talk about this stuff, but we all get along well. so for the rest of us t needs to be the same.

Let me start this by saying i am still a N00B, saying that Initially i was also annoyed with all those questions people were asking.. i myself started a new thread trying to clear few basic questions.. but as the time went by realised that the senior community was more harsh than anything else.. the more we teach the more we learn thats what say in my part of the world.. but i believe all is well, all that is needed is that you guys get into serious ICS development once the OTA arrives.. and <3 you guys..

But, thanks to all the wonderful people here, i got it fixed. My heartbeat was probably 200 while the fxz flashed, but I got it done
I now bootloop every other day practically. restoring is no problem. ICS was a whole different story, but that is not for here. That is when I had my first hardbrick. but once again thanks to the help of others I am now on scv7 with some mods to it.
To all of you who have posted stupid unnecessary things, and yes there are many I am sorry. as the Moderator Moscow Desire said in a PM after me posting a rude response that lead to me writing this "n00bs will always be at XDA. This is a fact of life. Yes, they post stupid things sometimes, and yes, they will always NEVER do a search or read other posts. It's always been like this. And yes, it gets frustrating at times."
We know you are out their. and we can try to stop it, but there will be people who do dumb things. But that is not an excuse for any of us to be rude to them. Those of us who are more knowledgeable about dev stuff should be helping those who aren't. My mom always told me in school that there will always be bosses you hate just like your teachers, and coworkers you hate st like your classmates, so you might as well learn to get along with them. She was right. we just need to get along. For us devs there is an IRC channel, and believe me we talk about this stuff, but we all get along well. so for the rest of us t needs to be the same.

I guess one just has to realise that there are ppl here with different tech capacities. So knowledgeable ppl like u and the other magnificent devs should have a little more patience with us , the eternal the omni present n00bs... u guys are doing a great job !! keep it up!!! We ask stupid questions coz we are scared that the beloved fone will brick...we want to be 10 times sure that flashing will not render it useless...but still we do it ..coz everybody loves a kick!!!! I guess.. my take on this....

Yeah, but on the other side of the coin, if you are on XDA that means you are looking to experiment, you want to try new things, you need a fast and functional ROM or that mod you like so much or simply want to root it and then there are few who are here just to learn.
But for all this you gotta have few attributes
1. Guts
2. Little knowledge
3. Able to go through few threads before starting anything
4. And last but most important, knowing where the search button is.
This still a n00b saying this, dont get me wrong. I am here to learn, i am getting into it slowly but surely. Thanks to the devs.

Well it is really not patients that is the problem that we are all having at the moment. It is the fact that everyone now seems to think they are the ONLY one with a certain problem with x, and rather than posting in the thread that deals with x they make a new thread, and then when you ask why they did not search it is always "I searched, and none of the threads deal with MY exact issue".
The issue with this is that is shows a lack of respect for everyone in here, that might be working on an issue, and that person just bumped another thread that might have that or a similar issue in it, and now everyone is reading that new glowing orange thread on the board.
The next issue is that people have to trust us.
Next, it seems we have a new rash of noobs that don't want to listen and then still post a new thread when their issues is not solved in another thread and then keep bumping that thread if no one replies.
Again these are all thing that show alot of issues and lack of respect to your dev team, we are here to help, but the more you guys all help us, the more we can help you.
P.S. I had to post this same thread a few weeks back, because of all the frustrations as well.... see a pattern here.

I just joined XDA not long ago and I too have noticed a lot of pointless threads. I admit I did post a stupid question before, but I found the answer myself and went back and changed my question. But I did not go and make a new thread about it. I think the issue is A. people are lazy in general, and B. There is so much to try and wrap your head around, and no one wants to brick their device. I only have 1 device and I would love to try experimenting with different ROMs and things, because I am constantly wanting a new phone. I have had the A2 for about 9 months now and I am bored with it. But I have that fear of bricking it and then I am screwed. So for now I will continue to search through different threads and try to learn as much as I possible can before I jump in and try flashing ROMs. I notice some people just try flashing ROMs without really any knowledge then post new threads with the issues that they have. If they would just take the time to read through threads prior to jumping in there would be less of this issue. I just want to Thank all the Devs here that put so much time into all the work they do here!! Definitely the best mobile dev community out there!!

dude i had the same ROM for 9 months before, without a single wipe, and i never got close to bored, the hw buttons messed up so i had to sell. your phone isnt your game console or gf ... its a phone, no offense

some people use there phone for more stuff then others. nothing is wrong with that.

I know, it was amusing. But the fact that you're feeling the urge for clarification makes me second guess that was a "joke". (I'm kidding)
That's what we need more of here, people with a sense of humor. I applaud you for that, hopefully the lighthearted approach will carry through with the other "business class" folk.
