No flash possible - Vodafone V1615 - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Hello Guys,
5 days ago I bought a HTC Kaiser in a Dutch Vodafone shop.
My native language is German and I also speak English - BUT NOT DUTCH!
Tried to use the German ROMS that shared here (Vodafone and the cooked HTC one) but its not possible (error 262).
When I try to use HardSPL I get the white screen. Tried to use JumpSPL 1.56 and 1.93 from the Kaiser - got the BLUE/GREEN/WHITE Screen and also the USB - unplugged the Kaiser and plugged it again - no effect. Reset the Kaiser after this (battery out and in) and tried again to use a ROM flash - same error. After JumpSPL the Active Sync could not find the Kaiser anymore (after 1 minute) and so I had to reset the Kaiser.
Is this wrong and do I have to wait more time? Or is it just doesnt working?
Please help me. I dont want to learn Dutch!
Thanks in advance
Babykillar

Me again
Sry, I forgot:
ROM Version: 1.56.172.3
ROM Datum: 09/05/07
Radio Version: 1.27.12.32
Protocol Version: 22.45.88.07H

Close this thread - You are my gods
Well, fixed the problem myself.
Waited for some minutes, used JumpSPL 1.93, disconnected and connected again. Gave a F*** about Active Sync. Started ROM flash - after 10 minutes I had a German on.
No I have to test and test and test. But - you are the best. A complete Newbie is now your biggest fan.
Thank you all for this side and do more, investigate more, share more - be more like you are now.
Thx thx thx

GetDeviceData output from a S100 wanted

Dear fellows,
I am still at a dead point (my S100 is screwed and the OS is gone!)
I have seen several methods listed here to reflash the OS but most of them require the GetDeviceData output file to modify the original ROMs. Unfortunately I can't run anything on my PDA... It would be a great help if a kind S100 owner would run the GetDeviceData on his handset and post the output file for me. Do not worry, it doesn't hold any sensitive data. Just device model details. Any S100 device, any language... would suffice.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Silver.
...at least the Operator for QTEK...
C'mon guys... help me.
Here ya go...
Operator ID: DANGA001
Qtek S100 bought at Dangaard Norway.
Thanks...
...but it doesn't seem to work. Maybe an Italian PDA would be required.
I am afraid I have to send the PDA back to the service...
Maybe you can try the following:
- Set your Qtek in Bootloader mode
- Connect it to your pc
- Start the update program of the Qtek ROM 1.06
- The installer will not find any version of your current ROM because it is in bootloader mode, but it will allow to update it
- flashing...
- done
Hopefully it'll work for you.
And I will test it further, but this looks like the way to update the ROM without editing the ROM files...
The other alternative that worked for me:
I have a Dopod 818 ROM which I screwed up. I can't therefore read its country code with GetDeviceData.
I used the following to flash the i-mate ROM:
http://www.clubimate.com/Support/ma_cdlsku1_wwe_10300_143_10100_ship.exe
Then I upgraded with qtek 1.06 successfully.

ROM UPGRADE PROCESS STUCK on 95%

The story: Received an new O2 XDA NEO from Germany. Being portuguese I don't know nothing of german idiom. I dowloded the JAMIN Eng. rom from the FTP and tryed to unstall this rom. With the ROMUpadte utility that comes with the ROM I get an error. With the ROM Update Utility_NOID the process stars and go normally until 95%. Here, after some minutes give me an error saying I can't upagrade with the NBF file.
I was a little passed out thinking that instead a phone I had a brick. Pul out the batery for moments. After I turned on the phone and it shows the tri color scren of bootloader. Ok conect the usb cable again and start the upgrade to the RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID. and voila... the process completed without problems.
The weird thing is why my phone doesn't accept the JAMIN rom?
Anyone has an expplanation for that? Thank you
can you tell me wehere i can download a jamin rom ? then i can test it with my o2 xda neo
I upgraded my Neo to jamin rom without a problem. I was using the RomUpdateUtility by machinagod, which you can find in this forum. But now I have switched to RUU_2151327..._DOP_ASIA_WWE too. To me, the new version DOP_ASIA_WWE rom works much better than that jamin. More fast, more effective. The JAMIN always runs out memories and makes the CE-Star chinese input inactive, especially when WiFi used. The DOP_ASIA rom rarely meets such problem.
Upgrade rom
You can only upgrade rom but can not downgrade. So now you are at 2.15
but Jamin is at 2.13.
Hi,
upgraded qtek s200 with RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe, using ROMUpdateUtility-NoVendorID.zip, which does not check Vendor ID.
No major issues so far. During boot dispays Dopod instead of QTEK .
Besides, few differences I found in voice diler and new program called AutoConfig. Appears, to configure automatic settings for your GSM carrier, but only for ASIAN operators, which is useless to me. No worries, interface still English.
It was mentioned few times in this forum, that you may experience some "delays" during flashing your device - don't panic, don't touch it, just wait for some time, it will finish on its own.
Good luck with upgrades.

HardSPL and HTC TyTN II with 1.93.0000 SPL ?

Hello all,
I have been reading xda-developer forums for a last couple of weeks, but I didn't managed to find a "proof" that someone succeded in installing hardSPL on a TyTN II device with SPL-1.93.0000, and successfully flashed one of 6.1 ROMs.
I have HTC branded TyTN II (NOT locked to any network SIMs - tried with 3 different SIMs from 3 different operators and they work) with following information:
ROM version: 1.56.405.5
ROM date: 08/28/07
Radio version: 1.27.12.32
Protocol version: 22.45.88.07H
CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
Soft-reseting device with cammera button pressed (NO USB connection - cable not connected to PC) leades me to a tri-color screen which shows:
KAIS130
SPL-1.93.0000
CPLD-8
and a text "Serial" on the screen.
My question is: is there anyone who managed to install HardSPL on a device with same SPL 1.93.000 and with what tools (HardSPL, JumpSPL, SSPL .... )?
Also, does anyone have this version of original (shipped) ROM - it seems that there are (very) similar ROMs around, but I didn't manage to find exactly the same version ?
Thanks for any help on this.

Thanks for info ! Can you, please, tell me did you have to use JumpSPL, and if you used it, did you use JumpSPL_1.56 or some other version (I think I have seen some other versions posted, but I cannot find thread anymore) ?

I am sorry I do not remember the SPL version I had originally, however it seems most problems experienced seem to be related to the device not being detected correctly by the PC when in TriColor screen mode.
If you are using Vista the above problem seems all too frequent.
I did not have any problems the first few times, Vista worked just fine but then one day I started having problems and Vista could not detect the device correctly. (even though "USB" appears on the TriColor bootloader screen does not mean it is correctly detected)
If you are using Vista then you could try the following instruction - this worked for me...
http://www.modaco.com/content/Windows-Mobile-News/252977/RUU-on-Vista-It-can-be-done-the-ultimate-guide/
As I say there are probably other ways, but since I installed these ActiveSync 4.5 drivers I have never had any problem.
There are 2 methods to flash HardSPL, if you get stuck in "White Screen" using the traditional method, then you will need to use JumpSPL fom the alternate "White Screen" method.

O2-UK Xda Stellar OEM Backup

Hello All,
Firstly let me apologize if this has been answered already, but after hours and hours of reading I am still unclear on a few points.
I want to be able to take a complete backup of my Stellar before I update anything in case of any future problems, so that if need be I can revert it back to the same state as it is in now before sending it back to O2.
1 - Is this feasible / possible?
2 - I know I can unpack and repackage the OS ROM, but what about the radio / spash logo & SPL?
3 - Can all the CID, Security and SIM locks be replaced if required?
Can anyone recommend the best course of action for me to take, so that I can dump everything first, in a format that can be easily re-flashed, before I start to load HardSPL etc and then suddenly find I am S.O.L and cant return one component to the original version..
If anyone would like copies of the original Firmware / Logo / Radio etc after I manage to dump them.. I'll be more than willing to share - provided you dont mind giving me hand with dumping etc
FYI - Here are the Versions on my device:
Radio: 1.27.12.32
Protocol: 22.45.88.07H
ROM Version (from Bootscreen): 1.82.00.00
ROM Version (from Device Info): 1.82.206.1 WWE
ROM Date: 10/04/2007 (Not sure if thats 10 April or 4 Oct)
WM6 Pro. CE 5.2.1622 (Build 18128.0.4.4)
Model No.: Kaiser
Thanks in advance...
you could try searching, someone has probably done all the dirty work in dumping and reconstructing the o2 rom already

From what I can tell, but I may be mistaken, this ROM is a different version to the Shipped / Reconstructed ones on the Kaiser Wiki...
Also, the splash logo on my Stellar, is definately different to the O2 splash logo that is available via download... Mine shows a 'wireframe landscape' while the other is the same bubbles splash that I had on my Wizard (O2 Xda Mini-S)...
I have a Stellar and would love a copy of the O2 ROM as I have flashed without backing up so if you manage it I'd be in the queue for a copy.
there is a rom available, but it doesnt restore the spl or the front splash screen. anyway these could be extracted?
hi
where is the rom located?
O2 Stellar ROM
seconded! I too now need the ROM, but have searched the site and the FTP to no avail, anyone have a dumped ROM that they can point me too please...
TIA
Try

using WWE rom on italian polaris

Hello everyone,
I can't put the WWE rom (ship version) in my italian polaris phone.
The RUU utility starts updating, the device goes into the 4 color mode but then it restarts and the utility says that it can't be used on my device.
The rom i'm trying to use is: RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.1_radio_sign_25.65.30.04_1.58.21.23_Ship.exe
Could you give me a sugestion about what to do?
Please excuse me if this issue has been resolved already in another topic but I did search for about 2 hours and didn't find anything about this issue.
Thank You
----------------
I forgot to use HardSPL. That tool solved my problem
