ROMS that work with G4 CID Locked devices

I'm starting this thread to create a list with roms that work with CID locked G4 devices.I saw somewhere here a person saying that he put Jester's rom into his SPV M600 G4 device....could someone confirm that?

that would be me i have jesters 3.3 rom on my g4 cid unlocked m600

Well it's actually possible to load any ROM on your G4 device, only if it is CID-locked then you can't use the RUU update tools then you have to use the tools provided by ITSME. And Jesterz has a ROM_UPDATE.BAT file with his ROMS copy your ROM in the extracted directory of jesterz package and you can flash your G4 device..

Yup that's right I always updated my WM5 roms trouhg the RUU flasher, but with WM6 no go!

Which rom did you use to update your phone with RUU updater?Your phone is CID Locked?

Hi,
I could not get exactly what u mean by RUU updater stuff? I think u mean it is
collective set of files- EnterBootLoader.exe,RUUGetinfo.exe,ROMUpdateUtility_G4.exe and RUUResource.dll. (and a nk.nbf file )
I use above set to flash my G4 prophet (ipl/spl : 2.15.0001) with nk.nbf file which i modify with nb2nbf_tornado.exe and typho5.exe.
I always exclude ipl/spl portion from complete rom and choose only parts which i require. This makes risk free flashing ( till i think so) of my Prophet.
Does ur post means u use to flash ur Prophet with ROMS of devices other than Prophet ? As recently i tried it with wizard Rom but failed. U can read it on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289763

yeah i mean the collective set of files and my device is cid locked if it wasn't cid unlocked when I bought it.
I never modified the nk.nbf file.
I can't list all the roms I used but basically all of them I'll try to get a list tonight that I used but definitely Jesterz and the pdamobiz roms and one xda neo rom.
I'm not sure right now how I flashed the chinese rom but I'll look to night as soon as I have access to my home pc. I thing it was over an ugraderom.bat.
The ruu crossbow updater for wizard bricked my phone I guess.
And i have the same problem as you have nandlal.

these were all roms that worked already on my device
the crossbow rom was flashed over an upgraderom.bat (ffs method I think don't exactly remember the name) and it was customized for the prophet, the chinese version

qtek s200 help!!!

i updated my s200 with a crossbow rom and now its dead
the update was sucssfull but when i push the power button the screen fliker for les than one sec and that it
my s200 will not go even to bootloader
any ideas ?

what ipl/spl do you have?

i have a G3 idont it was 2.20 i think

plz check again if its 2.20 or 2.21 and hope that its 2.20^^

mh you have g3 ... try the solution out that i mentioned before and try the cid unlock from pdamobiz.com... then reflash an older rom with spl/ipl.
edit:
the pdambiz can only be flashed when you are in align screen... if you have 2.21 take a wizard rom and go into align screen with active sync connection and flash the cid unlock rom.
if you have 2.20 then just try another prophet rom out and see if it works...

sorry that its in german but its the only one I have right now... you can also change the language with some programm which is available here in the board..spl and ipl is included and it should downgrade you pda to 2.09
its an original shipped rom, they are always for g3 and g4 right? it doesn't say anything about that, anyways i used it on my g4 and it worked so you might wanna check out before as you have a g3 device, but I'm pretty sure it works for g3 and g4

so i maneged to get my s200 into bootloader
i now i have IPL 1.01 and SPL 1.01 but my device is G3
so i tried to flash RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
and its start and when it reached 95% igot an error that says
"ERROR 326 ivalid command, the nfb file cannot be used with your pda phone
and one got and idea what to do ????

just now i tried to flash "RUU_Prophet_2090732_20907115_020720_QtekGER_Ship.e xe" and it fail at the first time
so i tried again and it sucsess
and now my qtek work again
i am verey happy

I today installed the RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID Rom on my existing Smart 1v2 it went fine but then at 95% it stopped saying .nbf file not supported with ur model now it only opens in bootloader mode n when i tried the JAMin orignal ROm JAMin_213923_2139126_022021_ship it says get a new one
PLZZZzzzzzzz someone help cuz Imate has only released this ROM............

for the NVID I GET at 95 % this error

Put the device into bootloader and flash with an official ROM.

The device only opens in bootloader now n by da way i cannot use my imate official Rom so which should i try now............

Try downloading the official i-mate Jamin ROM. When you've downloaded the ROM skip the first to steps. Before it checks the device reset the device so you will have an USB connection. If you wait to long the USB connection gets lost.

You did a mistake when you upgrade to the useless 3.08 IPL SPL, I think you have less feature now with official ROMs
You can't flash your phone with any official NBF (ROM) unless you unlock the CID, to downgrade IPL SPL
Unlock your CID I think you have a G3 device and you can install any ROM you want, if you don't what G3 mean, look what G device you have in the WIKI
If you have G4 the only solution is Extract the NBF and make a new one without IPL SPL and you can install any ROM you want
But you didn't brick your phone ask before any step you will make before you brick it

No - once you have upgraded ipl/spl you are stuck with them. Do not got to v 3.08!!!

try to upgrade to latest Radio Rom and then try to upgrade the latest rom u would see its running ok

Highes IPL/SPL Versions win!
If you have install IPL/SPL 3.08 ... no downgrade in the moment!

Wats the advantage of this IPL SPL 3.08
i have only seen one change n its that I cant get my imate rom back without editing it n removing IPl Spl from it...............

rom before. i try this rom can complete to fixed the bootloader screen!

i think maybe the wm6 rom cht have the problem , then make the machine cannot finish to flash the system.

[Qtek 9100] Invalid Update Tool

I am fairly new at rom upgrading so i started to follow the tutorial written by vippie. My ppc aint sim locked but i think it is cid locked so i downloaded button's 1.05 rom. When i want to upgrade the rom the programm gives me the following error message - Error 300 invalid update tool.
Some info:
My device ipl and spl number is 2.18.0001
I searched the forum and google but cannot find any solution.

I think your Qtek is nog CID unlocked yet. But I'm not totally sure.

G4
You got a G4 phone, so follow the G4 Tutorials. Its recognizable as 2.xx.xxxx on IPL and SPL. If you have a G3, it doesn't shows the 2.xx.xxxx but it'l show something like 2.xx.
So follow G4 tutors, i thought that if you wanted to flash, it'l need to be CID Unlocked and you should use Shell Tool ( its a tool to flash ).

Hi, I have a QTEK A9100 too. I flashed it many times with the RUU.
My suggestion (at least it worked for me)
a) if u r going from WM5 to a WM6 ROM (upgrade), use SHELLTOOL instead of RUU.
b) If u have problems flashing a ROM and want to go back (downgrade) use the RUU.
I posted both RUU and SHELLTOOL and made a step-by-step guide (in spanish) in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=322719
I can translate it to english if you want... just let me know.

help stuck in bootloader

right i have the g3 model with a german rom on so i wanted to upgrade i'll tell u what i did, 1st off i put fone into bootlader mode then run the rru for the hardspl, that said it had done so then i did the exact same thing to put the shadow 1.0 rom on and when it completed it wont come out of bootloader mode.... any help????

oh also dont know if this helps when i was flashing it didnt come up with any info in the rom version for my phone?

Ok. i had the same problem.. SO wot i did was to redo all the steps of flashing a rom. I did the hardspl all new... and then flashed a radio rom... nd then wm6.1 ro m of my choice it worked
