Pairing Bluetooth Headset with 2 Phones? - P3600 Accessories

Thread says it all...is it possible?
Phone 1: Trinity WM6
Phone 2: Nokia 6288
thx!
edit:
I mean at the same time...

depends on your headset
...my moto H820s will pair with up to 8 devices, my older skywing headset only one.

and you can use 2 (up to 8) at the same time?
Incomming call on phone 1 -> headset reacts...
after taht call
Call incomming on phon 2 -> headset reacts...
dont have to disconnecdt phone 1...
is this right?

Multi Bluetooth

Hi - I have two phones (XDAII & Nokia 610a) & a bluetrek G2 bluetooth headset. Both will pair individually with headset - but I cannot get the headset to switch between the 2 without turning one off. Indeed it seems that for whatever reason the Nokia takes priorty - i.e when the Nokia can see it the XDA doesn't?? Has anybody had a similar problem (& ideally found a fix?)
:?
If I recall correctly the Bluetrek G2 can be paired with two bluetooth phones. But the order in which they are paired is important. Because Bluetrek assign them a primary and ... status (read the manual).
In this case the primay will be mounted allways as first at avail of the primary paired device.
So it makes sense that you'eve to turn off the primary device to make a connection to the other one.

Jabra BT-800 not working w Qtek 2020 WM2003SE

I bought the Jabra BT-800 headset for 119 EUR and was hoping to enjoy the headset w/o getting my PPC out of my pocketst.
Well that didnt work out. Pairing was easy, and after switching on the headset (in profile on today screen) I could call with it. The only thing is, I cannot get the call list on the headset to work. It doesnt show any numbers at all, and i wonder how its supposed to work anyway.
That being said, I also don't get to see who's calling me when using the headset.
1) Incoming call.... PPC rings..
2) After a few seconds the headset backlight switches on showing "Jabra BT-800" (standard text). I do not get to see who's calling me on my headset.
3) When listening to the ring tone on headset, after a second or two I get a really annoying sqreaking sound and that stays on till I accept the call or hang up.
So it is not working for me. Besides the headset does not stay on my ear correctly. I have small ears and it is really uncomfortable.
I have Qtek 2020 with Windows Mobile 2003 SE ROM (downloaded from this forum), ROM version 2.06.00WWE, Radio 1.18.00, Protocol 1337.38, ExtROM 2.06.100a
The Jabra BT-800 does not do what they say it's supposed to do.
Anyone else got these problems or solutions? Ciao
R.
me too
Same problem... They say it is also capable of BT voice dialing. I hate the way it takes so long to answer calls.
I am going to find out if the sony ericson ones work.. Then get that. The reception on the BT800 is great though.

After the upgrade to the Diamond 1.2 I have tried to bond my Bluespoon Digital. That was very easy and everything works fine, exept a call not is trasferred to the headset. I have tried both stacks, and I have tried it with the Sony Ericsson HBH 65. It simply doesn't work at all.
Does anybody have suggestions to what to do??
bluetooth headset not bonding

Hi , I had smae problem with new I.Tech clip headset.
It's ok now as I downloaded the POcket Bluetotth Tools from this link:
http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html
Now it's ok for incoming and outgoing calls...
Cheers..

Thanks for the link!
I had a problem with my Jabra BT250 after the WM upgrade. The mic and speaker remained active on the device, and the earpeice on my headset was active, but not the headset mic. The BT Tools did the trick.
Thanks
Jabra BT800 & XDA ii
Hi there,
The Jabra BT800 isnt compatable with the XDA ii (check www.jabra.com)
I owned this headset and had exactly the same problems, i now own the Jabra BT200 and it works perfectly
The BT800 needs a phone with bluetooth handsfree profile to be able to use the advanced features like caller id. Xda II as standard has only bluetooth headset profile.
I'm not sure about the 2003SE rom some of you guys are using, but I've tried it with the Buzz WM2K5 rom (thanks buzz et al) and this DOES give it the bluetooth handsfree profile it needs.
BUT...
It seems Jabra's idea of caller id is to only pass the number across, and not the name. So for those of us that don't have a photographic memory its pretty useless. This isn't restricted to Xda's either. I tried a couple of Nokia phones that are 'compatible' according to www.jabra.com and these do exactly the same. Number shows on the jabra screen but no name, even though the phone is showing both.
I emailed Jabra about it and they acknowledge it is an issue. They also tell me there is an issue with numbers in international format in that they fail to pass the + sign across, so you can't ring out from the call list.
JD
Ya need 2.20 translated to have a working Hands Free profile.. BT800 needs hands free profile.
Caller ID still only displays if the number is a virgin to your system.. I think HBH662 will work with 2.20.
2005 may work with no problems too.

Vox + BT Headset trouble

Hi!! I have some problem with my vox + HBH-DS970 headset. I can't redirect incoming call sound from phone to headset
With my previous phone i change "capability" parameter (4-th bit by 0, like 110101)
But "capability" parameter in Vox is 7 bits lenght!
I'll try to set 1110101 (117) and 110101 (53), but it doesn't work!
while incoming call, i hear phone but not headset
Anyone can help me with advice?
bt headset prob
I have an xda2 i and I have the problem that even when the headet is connected, at times an incoming call won't broadcast over the headset at all, and equally if i dial out the call doesn't transfer to the headset.
Curiously, I've found the solution is to go into bluetooth manager -->active connections--> and click on STATUS of the head set connected. it should show signal strength and such. I double click on the CONNECTED message (oor maybe somewhere on the screen, basically double tap until it reads NOT CONNECTED ..... as odd as it sounds... this is what i needed... as when I do this, it usually works ok for me.
Maybe it will help?
..........IB a n e
this is smart, so there is no any bluetooth manager on it
and my headset can play any sound from phone because it is A2DP and i'm continuosly use it
i have one way to solve this - JetWare BT-Extension. In this programm i can check "use phone ringtones" and that works OK
but program unstable, so i want to get this future by regisrty edit

HTCTouchPro using Bluetooth in 6.5.1: Phone hangs up but call continues on Headset!

I have an interesting issue while using a Kitchen with Tachi Dialer (HTC Touch Pro)
I use a bluetooth headset almost everytime I make a call (I hate the handset as an actual phone)
It happens when I realize the wrong number has been dialed or the like (which also happens on occasion that it redials instead of dialing a selected number)
When I hit the end call button or the hard end button, the phone will think it has ended the call BUT the bluetooth headset is still in the call and the person can still pickup and talk. The headset cannot end the call and the soft and hard buttons also do not work.
The only way to end the call is to actually reset the phone or wait after the other end hangs up.
This seems to happen most if I end the call between dialing and when the headset establishes an active connection. (from the passive state)
I have 3 headsets:
Plantronics Voyager Pro
Voyager 815
Motorola H700
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Osiris

Did you put the bluetooth in pairing mode? Guessing you did but just making sure. That process is overlooked so many times.
Hi
I don't think this so..as the same Bluetooth works with another NOKIA set !

Hi Pirateghost
I'm trying to Pair my 'Bluetooth Headset (Plantronics Explorer 210)' with the HTC Inspire ..This device is not even detected by HTC when I do the 'scan for devices' from the Phone...but,I see the Bluetooth symbol dispalyed onteh phone...
Also this Bluetooth Headset is properly 'pairing' with my another Nokia Phone...
Further my HTC also 'pairs' properly with my Laptop'...
But the HTC doesn't detect the 'Bluetooth Planatronics' Headset!
it's Plantronics Explorer 210 Bluetooth Headset
....But this headset pairs properly with my 'Old Nokia phone'..but refuses to pair with the new HTC Inspire
But,the HTC Inspire pairs properly with my 'Laptop computer'...I'm reallyconfused..what's wrong...Appreciate your thoughts on this
I asked you earlier if you put the bluetooth in pairing mode before trying to pair with it? Not the same thing as pairing your phone to a laptop or using it with a phone that it is already paired to. First time you turn on bluetooth it goes in auto pairing till it is paired with a device. After it is paired with a device you must do something special to get it paired again with a new device. Again I only bring this point back up because this sounds like the only reason your phone cannot see the bluetooth.
How to Pair Your Headset if it Has Been Previously Paired
With Another Device
1 Turn the headset off.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator turns red
and then turns off.
2 Turn the headset on.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator light
continues to flash red and blue. The headset is now in pairing mode.
3 Use the commands on your phone to locate your headset.
For most phones, select Settings/Tools > Connections > Bluetooth
> Search > 2XXPlantronics. See your phone’s user guide for more
information.
4 When prompted for the passkey, enter 0000.
Pairing is successful when the indicator on your headset flashes
blue. Your headset is now connected and ready to use.

Thanks Agoattamer ---I totally overlooked it--Perhaps did not have the old Planatronics manual----and after getting into 'pairing mode'--everything is perfect..

Hi Pirateghost
I think,I had been too 'stupid' to overlook this 'pairing step'....and now the HTC is able to connect---Thanks a lot for your time......
Appreciate your help too...for giving such a good 'ROM'
