Disassemble Your Vox? - HTC Vox

Has anyone done this yet, or found step by step instructions on how to do this as I am thinking about buying a new casing unit for this s710 i just got that is in bad shape.
I have HTC assembly instructions which help obviously, but wondering if anyone has stumbled upon any user-made disassembly instructions.
thanks

Vox repair help...

I am planning on buying a replacement case for the S710 (scratched screen and keyboard) and was wondering if anyone knows how to properly take one of these apart? I checked the Wiki's and did a search, but nothing came up. If anyone has taken one of these apart, or knows where there's a how-to, please let me know. Thanks!
Try this link.
it's in english.

I have taken mine apart multiple times, I can do it in my sleep now!
Just follow the instructions in the service manual. If you need real-time help, I can assist you through IM (MSN) or if you wanna give me your number over email or PM, I can call if you need help and I am around.
thanks alot. Just need to purchase the parts here in the next few days (guess off ebay unless someone knows of a cheaper place) and i'll get back to you.
Search XDA for Mysterious Stranger, he has good prices and is a good guy to deal with for Vox or any parts.

Need Help-5 Directions Key Losted

I need help, somehow i lost my 5 directions key of the non-qwertypad.
Someone can tell where i can buy a new pad and if theres is a tutorial on how to change it?
thank you
you can find the tutorial in the Vox service manual on this forum, but i have no idea from where you would get a replacement keypad.
Other than the service centre of course.
Thanks... I've been searching in the web and couldn't find it...
Looks like i have to go to HTC customer service...
and hope that they dont rip you off for it...
You just need the hard pad? You can glue it back on. Mine ripped off also, I haven't touched my Vox in quite some time. Wanna buy the whole thing so you have extra parts?
For extra part look on ebay:
Extrat part HTC S210
good luck for repairing.

Thank you all for the help.
I already bought through e-bay the extra-parts and i'm waiting they arrive . I hope fast since the s710 looks a little odd without the d-pad.

Root generic HTC Desire without goldcard?

Hi guys i'm new to andriod but want apps2SD.
I have a generic HTC desire which i bought simfree.
Its got RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122704.exe firmware
Now every guide i read it says need a gold card but some people say because its generic i do not need the goldcard.
can some one give me a how to do this without gold card for my stock htc desire.
I do not need custom firmware, happy with HTC one just want apps2SD
Thank you
Basically, you follow the tutorial, but ignore the goldcard bits.
Mine is also a simfree Desire, and I rooted it today with no goldcard.
cheers,
did u install apps2sd? hows that working on ur desire?
* here is a good how to www.android-tech.co.uk
i have a HTC Desire with
HBOOT 0.80
Radio-4.06.00.02.2
its a generic Desire, from which part do you start without goldcard instructions, tried to follow the guide on modaco by Paul, but the instructions to me seem as if they were written by someone with a lot of technical intelligence but lacking in the finer art of writing tutorials
bit like a tourist asking for directions from a taxi driver:
go down the road and take a right, then take a left, do a 270° turn
when what he meant was:
go down the road for 2 miles, when you see a pub called "The Red Lion", take the immediate right after that, go down that road for 1 mile, take the next left by the phone box, when you get the roundabout, take the third exit
im new to Android phones but not new to computers but that guide baffled me, i was going to check google translate to see if they had a translator for technical jargon written tutorial to plain english
so can anyone help me out, cant find much info about rooting the desire without the goldcard!!
thanks
