Video Recording and MSN Sound Clip Volume - General Topics

First everybody complained that the voice clip from the MSN was way too low. Even in the highest PC's volume they couldn't understand me, everybody told me, and I was almost screaming in the mic.
Now I noticed that the video recording has the same problem: The volume is just too low.
Well, It was not like that a weeks ago and the voice notes seems OK, as I checked. I belive that it could be a software issue, after I installed an app, I guess.
Looked for and changed some "audiogain" registry entries but I fail.
So... help!
Try to post here, so someone can figure this out, maybe.
Oh... It is a WM6 HTC Excalibur.

Problem with sound

I am running asergs' aku3.3.12 for some time and I was very happy. Yesterday something very strange must have happened. I can make calls normally and I hear everything very good, but I don't have any other sound any more, meaning I don't hear my phone incoming ring, I don't have sound with windows media or any other app. When I go to sound and notifications (settungs), all sounds are still there, but I can't hear them.
I can hear sounds with the earphones, not loud, but I can hear them!
Does anyone know this problem or have a solution? Thx in advance.
I think it's the hardware problem, you can hear the sound when connect with earphone, right?
I met this problem before and it's because the connector in prophet still think the earphone is connected although it's not actually.
I don't if I understand your problem exactly but this is my understanding, and try to send it back to prophet service department to repair it.

Hi,
I have the same problem. Just after installing version 12, I got this issue. I couldn't believe it was a hardware problem but, If I press at the back of the phone it starts working so now, without any doubt, I'm taking the qtek back to the shop where I bought it and see what they can do. I'll try to avoid the manual fix (replacing the speaker).
Regards,
Encinas.

Very strange audio problems

I'm having a very strange audio problem with my Qtek 8310. I had a phone conversation a few hours ago which went fine. However, someone rang me up an hour ago, the ringtone went on as usual, but I couldn't hear anything from the speakers. I received a text message after that where the notification tone played as usual aswell. I then tried playing some audio/video files which had no sound either.
The people on the other end can't hear me either
Strangely enough, if I go under Settings:Sounds I can hear everything.
When I reboot the phone, there's a sweekish sound when the bootscreen comes up.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Im using "Windows Mobile 6 for Tornado Perfect English Edition V6", by the way
Thanks in advance
Hey, I have had this happen several times to me. Did you end up finding a solution?
I'm not sure if this is a WM6 specific issue, as I've switched from using the Qtek 8310 over to the HTC TyTN II, which, strangely enough, has the same problems at times. The only temporarily solution is to restart the phone and ring up the person who called you in the first place
Hey, I fixed my issue today.
The symptoms I had that I couldnt hear or speak to people when they rang, nor did system sounds work like dialing tones etc. I could only talk through a headset. But sound came out of the main speaker if i went into the control panel then to sounds and played the ringtones.
What I found is there is a little switch inside the plug for the headset, it must have become jammed. To fix it I straightened a paper clip and swirled it round the inside of the plughole (all sorts of furry things fell out!), then it started working. It has been good as gold so far. Give it a go and let me know if it works for you or not.

Samsung galaxy s8 plus audio problem during videocalls

Hello!
I have a major issue during videocalls using google duo, skype where if there are any background noise around me, i can't hear the person i am talking to. The audio cuts off. It has to be silent around me in order for me to hear the person i am talking to. Is there any fix to this problem? I have already reset the phone but the problem is still there.
mic (over) sensitivity? perhaps some will stop by and know the file and file entry to edit.
any of this type setting elsewhere (Settings, the app itself, and sound modification yo have installed, eg Viper, etc... that you can check/get to?
I have no sound modification installed. I checked the settings but there seems to be no part adressing this issue. The same problem happens when i use different apps like skype, google duo and signal. Could it be a hardware problem? The microphone works fine when i record a video or recording audio.
Maybe.
Rooted? If so, and you've done a full, clean install, and sure that the install is working ok, maybe try another custom ROM.
Normal calls work, as I get you it's (just) video calls? Another possibility, I'd consider looking up mic sensitivity and ways to decrease it. On the OnePlus One I am aware there was a configuration file folks could mess with to try and resolve that phone's mics over sampling. That was a common issue for many.
Have you tried turning the volume down and see if that has any effect?
Wish I could offer more ideas, I have used video calls maybe 3 times in 8 years.
The phone is not rooted. This problem occurs only when i use internet based videocalls (skype, google duo). The volyme is not usually high when i call. Thank you for your time, hopefully i will find a solution soon.
Frustrating. Good luck.

Problem with one of the microphones - P20, EML-L29 4GB, 128GB.

Hello guys! I have EML-L29.
I have strange problem with one of the mics - the one which is closer to the earpiece, top of the phone. So the problem is that the mic is very quiet - i think its responsible for when you change to loudspeaker, when you have phone call or viber, whatsup etc call, video call on loudspeaker. So i have to speak very close and quite loudly so that the person can hear me.
The strange thing is that it works normally when i say OK Google and Hey google. If I say this things, no matter how loud, i can tell them very quetly and the mic still pick up the voice, then i can ask Assistant what i want and again the mic picks everything how it should. But when i try manully to voice search, or manully to ask Assistant something, againt the mic brokes and can't pick up my voice normally, i have to be very close to it and speak very loudly.
I had this problem with EMUI9, updated to EMUI10, stil got it, fully factory reseted it, still no change.
For what i searched on the net i saw that the top mic is part of the motherboard, so its pretty much no point of changing it.. the bottom mic is on its own board, so its easy job.
Still i dont know if its hardware or software issue. Its very strange, normally it dont work, but when voice call the Google Assistant it starts working as it should.
I will be very grateful if someone knows anything about this or some tips on how i can deal with it
Thank you!
