Hi, I have strange problem. Somehow my WiFi on my SDA stop working, it want turn on.
When I checked with Wlan Uitility, phone gives me a "Driver is not loaded" message, when I click on WiFi in Comm Manager - nothing.
I'm using latest WM6 ROMs from this site, I even try with original WM5 T-mobile rom, still nothing.
Did I kill WiFi somehow ? Is this possible at all.
Radio: 4.1.13.28_02.61.01
RTL: 2.002
CE OS 5.2.1616 (18120.0.4.0)

Well, I cleared it like 20 times in this process, that was the first thing I tried. And yeah, I gave the phone to kid for a few days, maybe 'little devil' installed something, but he wan't addmit
Any other solution? Can I dump somehow ROM from my working phone? Maybe that could help? And what is the software for that?

As I am using XDAII for 2003se which is 2.0600WWE downloaded in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16880). The radio is 1.18 and the bootloader is 1.01. As I can upgrade my rom from 2003 to 2003se without any problem, I would like to upgrade it to WM5 in these few days.
However, I face some problems in my updating.
I have try XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE, XDA_WM2k5_2.01a00WWE, however, I cannot search the phone network after upgrade rom. As I have read some posts before, I know that there may be my radio's problem, so I upgrade my radio also. I have try 1.17, 1.18, 1.08 with these rom. Unlucky, it also cannot search phone network.
So. for the only solution is get back 2003se with "Asia O2 Xda II WM 2003 SE Upgrade" in this forum. I can get my network back.
As the result, I would like to ask that what problem am I facing and what can I do? Is it the problem of bootloader ? or the problem of radio?
And also, there have "Asia upgrade" for WM5? It helps me a lot and I need not to afraid the networking problem.
Please help me. .

you're lucky you can install that file to your XDA2. Mine can't I donno why. Activesync kept on disappearing. Although upgrading to 2003se is not a problem.

waht edition of active sync do you have? to get wm2005 to work it has to be active sync 4.0 or higher and for the newer roms you have to have AS 4.2 or equivalent beta versions

I'm currently using AS 4.2. The problem is that I couldn't install WM2005 2.01 64 to my himalaya. Once I double click on the installer, AS disappears and an error screen will come out after 10 mins. I also tried installing WM 3.0 but still the same result. I really wanted to try using WM2005 on my himalaya. could you guys help me?

I understand that AS will disappear the same way as it does when I installed SE. However, what puzzles me is that all of these installers will inform me that there is an error and I could not proceed further with the installation. I even have to restart my laptop because AS couldn't communicate with my himalaya after my attempted installation.
Sorry I'm not well versed with computer language/jargons that's why I could not understand the readme file. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me. Thanks.
at last installed it! I have to re install though. I restored some of my data and it crashed on me.

high what network are you with and are you on contract or pay as you go?
cause i have the settings for o2 contract gprs and also havw the settings for e-mail etc
I'm now able to access my emails. however, MMS is still a problem. Still can't send or receive. I'm using a globe telecom postpaid line here in the philippines. I installed the attached file for the network configuration but still nothing.

I installed Blackberry Connect on my Cingular 8125 and cannot get it past the point of the "Radio In Use" message. I'm currently using Molski's latest ROM but the problem has occurred on all the ROM's I've tried including the default Cingular ROM. I installed Radio ROM 2.47.11 this morning and the problem remains. Does anybody have any clue as to why this happens? I have never been able to get it to connect because of this issue.

why do you need an SD image, you can use a ROM updater to fix 95% of the problems

Got my XDA Neo and it was in Chinese rom, which has Wi-fi disabled. So I tried to upgrade to AKU3.2. but there was an error, something like "Can't write" or similiar. Then cellphone just stop responsing. Tried soft-reset and hard-reset, both stopped at splash screen (where shows the version of IPL/SPL). Bootloader still working tho.
Then try to download some rom from xda-developers, especially that stopatbootloaderfix, but the updateutil just can't update it, report different types of error code. Others just complain no connection through activesync has been established. After trying for over 5 hours and got desperate, that was the moment I login here and ask for help.
Today I tried the stopatbootloaderfix again but this time with "Allow USB connection" disabled in ActiveSync... and it works! It successfully flashed the ROM and now I am running the new AKU2.3.1 rom!

Looks i have the same problem. my Prophet stays at the Splashscreen with IPL, SPL, GSM, OS :-(

I have a prohpet which originally had the following firmwares etc:
IPL: 2.10
SPL: 2.10.0000
GSM: 02.07.20
OS: 2.10.7.27 NOR (Norwegian)
After following the instructions on how to first downgrade to wm5 (NoVendorId) and then upgrade to wm6 (I use pdaviet 4.0.0.4) my wifi stopped working. Nothing comes up in the list. Yes, I did do a hard reset, and yes I can access the wlan from my other phone. It didn't even work in the wm5 novendor version. Everything else seems to be working fine. Does anyone know what the problem can be? I even installed WifiFofum (http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wififofum/) but that did not work either.
I would appreciate any help...

SPL: 2.20.0000
GSM: 2.61.21
OS: 4.0.0.4 PDAViet
when i was on PDAViet 4.0.0.0.4,i noticed that WiFi didn't turn on when i pressed the comm manager button... Instead,it turned 1-2 minutes later by itself.... So i went back to PDAViet 4.0.0.0.3a...

I think I have tried every possible rom now, and still no go on getting wlan/wifi to work. It just wont search or find any networks. If someone has the same problem or a solution, please let me know.
one solution could be to upgrade to radio 2.69 ¿?. well. you can try, at least this upgrade isn't so "destructive" as the ones you used previously
I tried that, and didn't work. Atlast I tried the AKU rom, and it bricked my rom. Now when it starts the radio does not show, and the os wont start. Tried to flash back with no luck.

Obviously, you have a phone got bad WiFi hardware if you said you couldn't get it working under WM5.
Look at it this way, these WM6 ROMs have come a long way. They still get bugs here and there, but if you still get one consistance WiFi problem, most likely is not the ROM causing it. You are hitting your head against a brick wall.

I set my Polaris back to Original ROM (WM6.0)[GERAMN] (http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-379796.html) everything worked, but then I noticed that the polaris goes in "stand-by-mode" and the screen is black. Normally I push the on/off-button to turn on the display but this doesn't work any more. Also the buttons arn't working... Only a Soft-Reset helps...
Can anybody help me?

Do you have a Step-by-Step instruction how to reflash everything back to the original GERMAN ROM (also SPL-SCREEN), because of the warrenty?!

but the reception (GSM) is very bad...

I had this problem, sent phone back to O2, if you find out what radio gives a good signal I would be very interested, as you can read from my thread I have lost signal all together since receiving phone back
I have sort of the same problem, my polaris is in Spanish.
I figured out that the problem was in the usb connection.
Its very rare, but it works.
I have to use the phone with the checkbox of the "enable advanced network funcions" checked. That is in Settings, connections, usb to pc (or something like that, again, my phone is in spanish)...
If i uncheck that, when the phone enters in the sleep state, it hangs and never wakes up.
I hope this is usefull.

I use the XDA Orbit2 (polaris) with the 1.64.08.21 Radio and the latest german udK ROM.
The Screenerror disappears after flashing the udK ROM and the bad Radio with flashing the 1.64.08.21.
The screen thing is in my oppinion only an O2 error, and the radio thing is an HTC bug.
So try to flash and be happy!
But read the "HOWTO to HARDSPL" your device and "HOWTO FLASH"!!
Without you could brick your device!!
