ok i bricked my old tilt so i got a new one... now almost NOTHING will install on it.
i got opera to install thank god but i have been trying many other cabs with no luck.
programs i have tried and the result:
UITweaker=unsucessful
SDKcerts=unsucessful
S2U2=unsucessful
Nadavi_HTC_camera_5_0_4_2915=unsucessful
Kaiser.HTC.Home=unsucessful
Cert_SPCS=unsucessful
KaiserTweak=not signed or missing compents.
litterally all i have gotten to work is new splash screens jumpspl 1.56 opera and hardspl. oh and MS hearts.
Well if you're going to post this sort of thing, you're going to have to supply a lot more detail if you want help...
You mention JumpSPL 1.56... did you flash HardSPL then? If not, why not?
If you flashed HardSPL, did you flash a new ROM?
If you've done either or neither, did you hard reset and try again yet?
Are you trying to install to an SD or device memory?
The more detail the better... (I might regret that)

I read through the faqs, instructions, and did my research. Still, there are a few questions.
I have been successful in upgrading to Gullum's diamond rom which is awesome btw. Now, I am on the prowl checking out other roms from the other authors.
Each time I perform the hardspl which successfully goes through w/no glitches . At the bootloaded screen (tri-color) it shows KAIS1*0 MFG SPL-1.0.OliPOF.
Shouldn't it read HARDSPL Version 3.? after the spl update?
Basically, in a nutshell this is what I did:
1. CID unlock program "kaiser- CID Unlocked
SPL01.0 OLIPOF
2. HardSPL Version (per authors instruction)
3. ROM Upgrade.
Please advise for the advance instruction,

Did you jumpSPL before you upgrade to HardSpl 3.xx?
If not, search for JumpSPL!
Also, you dont need to CID unlock everytime. just once is enough.
I agree, it must be the jumpSPL. Jocky's thread is stick in the ROM development.

All the steps are pretty basic, but question on the following:
1b. pull out the battery, REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !! and reinsert battery (this step *is* important)
2. copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you still get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe
** When I copy the .exe to my device, is it to the storage card? Previous step states to remove sim,sd card, and battery.
** If I install JumpSPL1.56 successfully, I don't need to install 1.93 correct?
6. now flash hardSPL (run KaiserCustomRUU.exe from flash-hardSPL.zip on your PC)
7. After I run KaiserCustomRUU.exe, then I should be able to run
HardSPL v3.07, v3.28, v3.29 and v3.56 - per authors instruction.
8. Reload the authors ROM.
Is this correct?

You copy the JumpSPL onto your device memory!(becuase you have already removed your SD card)
When you install JumpSPL 1.56 without anyproblems then you dnt need 1.93, correct.
Then run HARDSPL 3.xx...
Flash your rom.

let me ask .. when you first tried to hardspl did you run into whitescreen? if so you probably need to use the same version of jumpspl 1.56 or 1.93 that you used to get past whitescreen. Secondly once you have copied the jumpspl file to your device you have to run it from there.

I own the AT&T Tilt and first used app to unlock the device,sid, cid etc.
HTC Kaiser Hard-SPL v1 - CID Unlock & Flash any ROM to your device (4 free)
Everything ran fine when updating the rom.
After that, I then ran hardspl thinking that it updated the spl but didn't. After that, moved on to Gullums, Laurentias, and Dutty's rom (testing each one). No problems flashing, however it's not the correct hardspl installed.
So I decided to post and see what could be done to get the correct hardspl on there.. I have tried everything with jumpspl (both versions) and didn't take. I tried this about 4-5 times - nada.
I noticed that HTC Kaiser Hard-SPL v1 - CID Unlock & Flash any ROM to your device (4 free) stated for Kaiser, but I own the tilt. Does that matter?
ANy ideas would be appreciative.

no it doesn't as they are the samething except the tilt lacks the front camera. i don't know why u are having problems. using jumpspl i have switched between all of these newer spls provided by jockyw... hmm

OK. First off, if your bootloader shows you as having an SPL or **Olipof then you have a HardSPL installed. You can then flash to your hearts content. Second, you don't need to flash HardSPL ever again, unless uprading the HardSPL that is. All you need to do is download the ROM and then flash it.
JumpSPL is only used when uprading SPL number that is all. If you install a HardSPL and bootloader says **Olipof or whatever then HardSPL is installed. After this only update the ROM by downloading a new one and flashing........

I will keep trying - just to refresh the steps.
1. remove battery, sim, storage card,
2. insert battery, usb
3. install JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe
4. remove usb, re-insert and then run flash hardspl
5. install hardspl version 3.x

The steps you have mentioned are correct FOR UPDATING THE SPL VERSION. you dont need to go through this every time. Once HardSPL is installed it stays installed, even after a ROM flash........
If you use the original HardSPL, bootloader shows SPL as 1.0Olipof or something. If you install a newer HardSPL it shows as SPL: 3.28, 3.29 etc Hard.
If you are unsure, go into bootloader and see what SPL version your phone is at. If it shows 1.0 Olipof, 3.28 Hard, 3.29 Hard or [anything else] Hard then you have a HardSPL installed and can flash ANY rom you like. Only one exception to this. DO NOT flash an HTC ROM after HardSPL or you MAY need to re-flash HardSPL before changing it to a cooked one at a later date.
I thought after running "HTC Hard SPL V1 CID Unlock - POF" I then needed to run HardSPL 3.xx.xx . After that, I could upgrade to what ever rom I choose?

If you run V1 CID Unlock - POF, check the bootloader for the SPL version. If it says 1.0 Olipof, i think it is anyway. If Olipof is showing in the SPL field of the bootloader then you have version 1 of the HardSPL installed and can flash any ROM. The updated HardSPL's ie 3.28, 3.29 etc are only to try to help with a few minor bugs that some ROM's have. I currently have 3.29 installed on my Kaiser and the Diamond ROM installed and all works like a charm. Any bother give me a shout.

right now, i have been using Laurentias rom and I like it a lot! only thing I hate is when the backlight goes dim.. I know there is a hack for that..
I'd like to find a rom that is bare bones, at&t, outlook, office, bluetooth, gps all included then I can start working my way in building it.
I think someone said Rotohammer's rom was built this way?

OK, I am not sure if this is your problem after this long of a thread...
It looks like you are trying to jumpspl 1.56 over hardspl. Instead, run sspl-kais.exe on your tilt after you have removed your cards. Then on your computer, run the customruu with the desired hardspl version.
in kyphurs words:
How to Install 3.2x.Hard SPL:
1. Plug the device into your PC
2. Copy Jump/Soft to your device. use JumpSPL If you have the "White Screen" issue, if you don't, you can use SSPL-KAIS.exe.
3. Take out your SD card & SIM Card.
4. Run Jump/Soft SPL on your device
5. Wait for the bootloader screen to appear and "USB" to show.
6. Right-click activesync, go into connection settings and ensure Allow USB Connections is unchecked
7. Unplug your device from the USB port, wait 5 - 20 seconds, plug it back in.
8. Run KaiserCustomRUU.exe and flash the SPL
You may have tried this, but it might be that you are just using the wrong jump spl. I have not used the 1.56 version since I don't need it but I think it is for people that can't hard spl. Hope this helps.

I have 1.0 Olipof which is fine. I was able to flash different roms w/no problems and as stated above, I am set ready to go rom upgrading..
so far I really like: L26_Kaiser_DIAMONDV9 rom which works beautifully!
a few little quirks here and there, but these can be tweaked..

ok, I guess I just don't understand why your phone won't flash the .nbh file to change your hardspl. If 1.0 is working, then who cares, right?

I can't seem to get JumpSPL to run on my Kaiser (yes, im attempting to run it from the PDA not PC).
the unit was a replacement, which when i received it, had WM6 (dont know whatSPL, i guess the default version on all new Kaisers from November 2007.)
Anyway, I upgraded it directly to 6.1 (Official UK O2 rom - which of course doesn't need hardspl flashed).
Ok so then I updated the Camera software to v5 and oh no...radio is incompatible!
Now, Can't upgrade radio to compatile one until I get hardspl installed but Jumpspl not running, (to fix white screen).
HELP!
you have to run a sspl first
copy this to your phone then run it, after you see the usb unplug then replug and run the hardspl ruu

When you see the unsigned application message ("This message is from an unknown publisher...", select yes.
I used JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.EXE on my Tilt.
DUH! I know you try to help but that's not what im saying, the JumpSPL.exe's dont even run at all, i get a similar error to that of a !applciation is not a win32 app" as you would ona pc. The kaiser doesnt recognise the exe's. If i got the message "from unknown publisher" i know eough to click yes, but doesnt get that far.
The unit seems to have KAIS130 SPL-3.29 (im guessing this was because of the Official ROM upgrade from O2 of WM6.1.
Is it unable to be hardspl's now?

Got bored, frustrated with above issue, went to sleep did it this morning with fresh head following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922 again. Thanks all for your valued help.
Hey, Im pretty expierenced in flashing htc phones but I cant flash the kaiser for some weird reason. When I use an RUU its stuck at 0% and then gives a connection error. When using the SD method its stuck on loading. I tried flashing hard spl's but its gives the same errors, its funny though that in boot loader it states that I have hard spl 3.56 or at least I think

When the Kaiser goes to the tri-color screen, don't unplug the USB just hold power and camera buttons and press the reset button with the stylus. this should reboot the phone again but this time you will see "USB" in the white section of the tri-color screen.
I believe 3.56 is an AT$T spl, If it was HardSpl bootloader would read 3.56Hard.
Try following mskips tutorial and use jumpspl to install a hardSpl.
yeah, you haven't properly gotten a HSPL on there. SPL 3.56 is stock.
Should read 3.56 Hard or Hard2 if you're using cmonex's version.

Try ookba's roms, use Auto_1.19 worked for me... If it all goes wrong as we now have a shipped rom you can fall back to SD flash as in this post:

No, it didn't work for me. I thought by now there will be a solid solution to this. Now we are stuck with stock roms as we cannot HardSPL our devices.
SPL 1.24 is hard to hack. Anyone got any solutions??????

I ran the Auto_1.19, (it prompted that device wasnt connected a couple of times, then got the prompt on the device to ask if an application should be run, selected yes (using left softkey), then had to use the trackball to select yes (the screen obscures some of the prompt), then screen went black and RUU began upgrade proces..

When I use Auto_1.19, i press the track ball on my device, I get an Error message and asks me to send the error to microsoft.

Yeah anyone? I have a SNAP with SPL 1.24 running WINDOWS Mobile 6.5 but I cannot for the life of me get any of the JockyW SPL's to work 1.17 or 1.19. I hate these Bloody Telstra / HTC phones, there locking them down so tightly nowdays. Not even the SDA unlocker works.. it tells me the phone is unlockable

I´m running with a SNAP from Telefonica with SPL 1.22 and WM6.1 which doesn´t let me install any of the ROMS here. Not even upgrade to 6.5 of original ROM from HTC. It says 294 invalid vender ID.
I have also tried aplication unlocker.. and nothing seems to work.
A few questions... has HardSPL 1.24 been released?
Any ideas to be able to flash a new rom onto this baby...

I have MAPL110 with SPL-1.24.0000. Successfully flashed by hspl 1.17 and
this ROM - 3VOLUTION SERIES *][WM6.5 STD 21854][Build 3VO.2.50.112509.
succesfully flashed spl 1.25. used hard spl 1.19 through activesync. stuck on tmo load up page then used bootloader then flashed 11.25.09 rom from there.
all went well and my wife has a newish dash for $100
