MMS after WM6 upgrade - HTC Tornado

Upgraded my c600 to WM6 using karhoe's excellent guide. I now have no MMS folder. Are SMS and MMS now combined in WM6 or do I need to download cabs to get it to work. I have received a MMS and can't down load it but not sure why. It appears in my SMS in box.
Any help appreciated

In EA ROM, the SMS and MMS are separated, did you upgrade your ROM ?

Yes followed your guide to the letter but now only have SMS and email after selecting messages from the menu. It doesn't mention MMS and I can't find anywhere to check MMS settings in connections or any other menu!!

After my Upgrade I don't seem to have MMS working at all, messages sent stay in the OUTBOX and I'm not receiving them. Without any MMS settings options I can't figure out how to make this work !!
HELP

I Hit this problem but have now solved it....
In WM6 (Perfect English Rom and Vanilla ROM's) MMS is now integrated with the Text messages and giving it the correct settings to get it working isn't that obvious, the MMS connection settings are buried under the menus.
You need to firstly set your GRPS settings according to your mobile network.
Start > Settings > Connections > GPRS
then you have to set your network's MMS settings..
Start > Messenging > Text Messages > New > MMS > Menu > Options > Message Options > Menu >MMSC Settings > Menu > New
If you need your GPRS and MMS settings then contact your operator or have a search of this site's forums, or look in this thread I use o2 in the UK and this is what I have...

Sorted, thanks very much

I can't find the UK vodafone settings in the right format anywhere! The one's above for O2 are the right headings just need the info for vodafone. Anyone have them or point me in the right direction???

This utility may help you.

Thanks Nitrogenious installed and it completed the settings as described. We are making progress, I can now send MMS but cannot download them. I rang vodafone and my SIM is MMS enabled I also asked them to check the settings. The c600 confused the hell out of the girl who thought it was a Samsung!! Never heard of HTC, anyway a couple of settings were wrong but she said if I can connect to the internet via GPRS then I should be sorted. I can connect to the net but cannot download MMS's anyone any ideas????

Hi.
I am an absolute newbie for a WM Device. I just got my HTC s710 two days ago.
Can anyone help me with a step-by-step setting for Vodafone Live settings ?
I use the network wizard but the settings don't work. Not been able to find anything on Google either.
I open IE n can only browse the default favourites. Cannot download anything either.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
I had a problem here in Germay to, but after my first try Vodafone sent me a text message. I don't know if this works for you, but maybe it will. Go to settings-> connetions->GPRS->Vodafone Internet and change Acces Point to event.vodafone.(what ever india has, here it's de) Then try again!
the connection setup wizard does work for vodafone in India.
try that.
It configures everything.
EDIT:
sorry i didn't notice that you have already tried that.

Hi!
I'm using Hutch-WAP for data-usage on my Vox, since Vodafone Live settings dont seem to work on this smartphone.
You might have got the Hutch GPRS and WAP settings in Connection Settings after running the network wizard.
Just check, Hutch-WAP settings should be:
Connects to: WAP Network
Access Point: portalnmms
Rest settings are default.
Then, in Phone Settings>Connections,Select Proxy and edit the Hutch-WAP Proxy.
Connects from: WAP network
Connects to: The Internet
Proxy(name : port): 10.10.1.100:9401
Type: HTTP
In Connections>Menu>Advanced,
Select:
Internet Connection: Hutch-WAP
Work Connection: Automatic
WAP connection: Hutch-WAP
Secure WAP: Auto.
Then in Internet Explorer, Menu>Tools>Options>Connections:
Check Automatically detect settings.
Select Network: The Internet
These settings work fine for me, you can try and let me know.

i really dont understand why Vodafone Live wont work on a WM device.... works like a charm on Symbian S60 n UIQ .... and the best part is Vodafone Live is free !!!
@phreaker18,
yes, even I don't understand why it doesnt work fine with out of the box settings, and till someone comes out with the correct answer, we have to use workarounds.
It does work great with Symbian, i checked my SIM in a NOKIA, and Vodafone Live worked without modifying any settings.
And Vodafone Live is NOT FREE, its just that it doesnt have any rental, but you are charged for data transfer.

SMS & MMS
Out of the box SMS works but MMS does not.
MMS For Titanium, Manila 2.1 or Sense 2.1
Install apristel_Arcsoft MMS_USCellular_5_0_94_128c.cab (attached), soft reset.
*Note* If you get an error that the above cab will not install, then you will need to install "Remove PictureMail & Arcsoft.cab" (attached) first then soft reset. Then install the cab above.
You now have MMS
Here is the Server info for those of you who want it:
You can add a server via SMS / MMS > Options > MMS Options > Servers Tab > New
Enter the below info
Server name: usc
Gateway: left blank
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS
Connect via: Network
Send Limit: 500k
(if you have a WAP setting set to NONE)
MMS for Sense 2.5
Navigate to the Messaging Tab > All Messages > Menu > Settings > Options > Menu > MMS Server > + New
Enter the following settings
Server name: USC
Gateway: (Leave blank)
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS?X-USC-MDN=your 10 digit number here (example: http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS?X-USC-MDN=5415551234) *the server is CASE SENSITIVE enter in as shown*
Connect Via:My ISP (or USC Or whatever your data connection is)
Send Limit: 1024 KB
WAP: None
Then click Done.
Set USC as Default. Soft Reset.
MMS for EnergyROM LEO Build 23518 M 2.5
First off USC MMS just wont work with sense 2.5 (at least not that I can get it to work AND i have tried everything). But there are some work arounds that i have found that i now can get both Pic & Vid MMS.
First, set up your MMS Server in the HTC Messaging like this.
Next NRGZ has enabled Windows Mobile SMS/MMS as well. To access WM SMS/MMS go to Start > Internet > Messaging > SMS/MMS
OR if you have an email setup, click Email Tab > inbox then slide over to SMS/MMS
Second, Now Setup the WM Messaging MMS Server via Start > Internet > Messaging > SMS/MMS > Options > MMS Options > CDMA Servers Tab > New
Enter the below info
Server name: usc
Gateway: left blank
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS?X-USC-MDN=your 10 digit number here (example: http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS?X-USC-MDN=5415551234) *the server is CASE SENSITIVE enter in as shown*
Connect via: My ISP
Send Limit: 300k
Set USC as Default.
Third...
Now how this works. You can send PIC and MMS via HTC Messaging but you cannot view pic or vid MMS via HTC Messaging (you will get a text in HTC messaging but it will be blank and have no attachment).
You have to go to the WM SMS/MMS Start > Internet > Messaging > SMS/MMS) to view your pics and MMS just like you did on Sense 2.1
Click to collapse
Hope this helps worked for me!
Now see I'm running an S3Rom9.5 and I can receive MMS in HTC Messaging but not send... WTF!? Wait no all working now supposedly... reported message sent successfully.
here's what i did.....

You need to configure the data settings for your carrier.
SMS = comes over voice connection
MMS = notification comes over voice connection, body of message comes over data connection
If you don't have a data connection setup + the information for your carrier's MMS server entered you won't get MMS.
here are your settings that you need as also posted in your other thread...
