Hi there, i have a simple question,
How can i customize my HTC HOME?
I loose some "menu" and i get other new during programm installing as HTC Home Music plugin so i can go back to originall Menu Bar?

I download the new version and i got NO HTC HOME... i mean i have an empity space on my display where usaully i got the HTC HOME
do not understand..
go to settings - today and check htc home..

Hey guys,I have found most of what I am looking for on this web site, thank you all for your help. I am trying to find out how you can get some of the cool looking color pictures onto the HTC home plug in on the tilt. I have the 5 button plug in and would like the pics to not just be grey. anyone have any answers?

also if you know this one too, how do i get the battery indicator to appear on te top of the screen? i noticed some have that, I dont,.
Search these forums for HTC home customizer, that will allow you to change your icons, clock, etc in HTC home. Really cool little app!
As for your battery indicator. I believe either kaiser tweak or advanced config 1.1 will do that for ya. Just don't recall exactly.
thank you, the HTC home customizer is perfect for the icons!!! the kaiser tweak does not seem to want to work on my tilt it has probs opening it and then it seems to load but i cant find the program anywhere. what is the advanced configuration 1 you talk about?

Ive bought the HTC S710 and changed rom to original HTC 1.27, because i thought, "HTC Home Plugin" was included there.
And i want it because there are some posts (not only here ) concerning how to customize the homescreen and so on.
=> If you have HTC Home Plugin, you can install HTC Home Customizer, so you can change Icons, Colors, And put Plugins on Homescreen.
But i cant find this HTC Home! Can any1 tell me about this concept with customize the htc vox?

When i see my friends with a Sony Ericsson P1 (Symbian! ) they can manage icons, place of things on homescreen and easily install themes... I wanna do too! I thought WM is "better" than symbian...
I just wanna customize my design..

HTC Home and HTC Home Customizer are only for PPC (Windows Mobile Profesional) not for Smartphone (WM Standard).
The first smartphone (Standard) which has a HTC Home is HTC S730 and we are waiting for someone who has it to dump its rom, then we we will be able to port HTC Home to HTC VOX. Till then no chance to have it.
Sorry, but HTC VOX never had such feature like HTC Home.

I'm like the biggest noob on smartphones but i got myself an S710,
I mannaged to get myslef a new homescreen but now i'm stuck with the same old boring menu... I really want to change it but i've searched en searched but i didnt find anything! can u guys help me out?

what exactly do u mean by menu.... are u referring to the screen u get when u press start? if yes then i would say that the device comes with the Windows Standard menu as well as the HTC 3D menu... u can choose settings and then there is an application in the start menu called 2D - 3D... that switches between the windows default and the HTC 3D menu
No i've got that 3d menu but it kinda sucks...
I want to customize it or maybe change the layout.
Isnt there any onther menu for the VOX then the standard and that 3d menu?

Could somebody paste here the original HTC Polaris/Cruise Black screen, please...!!! I have a o2 Orbit 2 and the ROM doesn't offer the option for the black screen at the today's home. Instead of that, has a horrible Sunrise Screen which uses black menus

THX isv51, but didn't work, I have no option to choose a black theme on the today screen and when i choose the standard Sunrise screen from o2 and I take another picture (HTC grey) for the background, just look horrible.

Don't know if it's of any use but I found a cab file in the windows folder on the TC. HTC_Home_PPC_Blue.CAB If this is the file that runs during customization might be helpful. If you're interested I could upload it for u (not sure about the 'blue' part though).

I don't know about Metanol but I would love the HTC.tsk (I think).
I have an O2 XDA Orbit (i.e. the Artemis-based one not the new Orbit 2 Polaris-based device) and I also like the black colour scheme that HTC use. I've flashed my device to the official O2 WM6 ROM and I don't have (or need) the fancy HTC tabbed Today screen but what I would really like is to be able to change the colours on the default WM6 Crossbow theme to the HTC black colours. I think that if I just install a suitable tsk then this will do it won't it?
If the above is correct then please do post the HTC.tsk and hopefully that might solve Metanol's problem too.

Hi qtek_metanol - i am new to this site and i just recently purchased an O2 Orbit 2 in UK. Managed to find this old thread.
I too would like to get the HTC home screen rather than the O2 theme. Can you let me know if all i need to do is add the HTC default.tsk file to my device under Windows directory to get the HTC home setup. Would this then give me a choice on my Today menu where i can select between O2 and HTC Home?
Finally can you confirm this won;t affect my original settings on my device and if i want to remove it all i need to do is delete the HTC default.tsk file and that would set my phone back to as it was originally?

forgot to add that i tried loading the 6 button version and had lots of trouble with that hence i thought maybe the original HTC home (4 button) from the Polaris/Touch Cruise would work better on my Orbit 2. Can you confirm also this is the original Home screen you get on the TC?

I have a HTC P3600 and after i make a hard reset the screen goes all black, i already try flash the phone but don't result.
If i try to make a hard reset again the screen shows "press ok to make hard reset" after that goes black again.its compleatin %100 but when i want start it its still black screen just light working =mad:
So i think not display problem.
Any solution?

side note: I'm using j.vd.spank's clean ROM.
I'm using the HTC Home Plug from THIS THREAD. I'd like to change the 3rd tab which is currently 'launcher' to 'contact speed dial'.
HTC Home Customizer v1.0 doesn't recognise my HTC Home Plugin and brings up an error of not finding the necessary files...
Any ideas?

Use another home like the 2.1... the htc home Customizer soooo look for the folder FILES its maybe empty, it must to works good on every version.
