No power on Qtek S200 - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 Software Upgrading

I am unable to power up my Qtek s200. I have tried new batteries and fully fully charged them with my other s200. I have cut the charger wire putting the white wire to pin 1 and the other to pin 5. The only response I get from the phone is a short flash of the LED (red) and a white flash on the screen.
Is there any hope? Or will I have to send it for repair

Remove the battery - whait about 3 min. - plug ac power cable without your battery - put the battery - when the orange light on, turn on your device.
back to the life, but not solve the problem.

Sounds to me that you tried to flash a Wizard-ROM on a Prophet.
This is simply impossible, so you probably bricked your device.
well its somewhat working i'm on a prophet bootloader ipl 2.09 spl 2.20 right now and i'm using a crossbow rom from the wizard section right now... (camera is not working).
what you could try is cut the charger wire open and attach the inner cable to the first battery pin (physical top) and the outer wire to the fifth pin. then go into bootloader, connect to computer and flash a prophet rom which has spl and ipl included.
dou you have a g3 or g4 device? on which spl/ipl are you right now...
I did the same thing with my s200.
I remove cable and battery, insert adapter cable and then battery until I get a steady amber light (usually takes 2-4 attempts).
When it boots up I quickly replace the adapter cable with the computer cable and Active Sync works.
I would like to reflash it but I can't since my battery is reporting 0% always, even when the battery is fully charged and it's not charging either. (And I can't get into the bootloader either.)
@crOssy: are the batteries different between models? and if so, would your proposed wiring actually work? have it been tested?

M600/Prophet dead to the world!

Hi all, I need a little help!
Got an Orange SPV M600 - Had old rom - Upgraded to WM6 rom, all worked sweet. Tried to do a CID unlock using awizard1.2 (Left it alone for a while to do its thing) not i cant get it to turn on at all.
1. Tried a master reset - Camera + Comm Mgr + soft reset (Nothing happens)
1a. Tried Camera and softreset too (nothing happens)
2. Tried Charger short to Pins 1 and 5 (nothing happens)
3. Left battery out for 24 hours (Nothing happens)
I have bricked the device! - Is there anything else I can do except go back to orange or htc service dept and ask for help?
Cheers
Hi!! Where did you get the WM6 rom for SPV M600??
Have been looking for ages!!
killian1407
Go to Tonydeli7 thread on upgrading. Go & flash the WM5 NVID version.
Then download your choice of WM6 version from PDAviet.
Dogs Nads mate. I unlocked my £75 eBay SPV M600 (courtesy of the gang) to use on Vodafone company chip, but the stock crappy grey background on the Orange WM5 fone dialer skin is total toilet..Just cant been seen on windscreen mount in my car. Follow the rules written by the guys (actually went a lot quicker than the 15-20 ,mins)..JOB DONE!
..PROPR BO I TELL THEE!!
M600 Still dead!
I have been waiting an age for someone to reply to my post with a solution but non has turned up.
Still have the problem but now its gotten a whole lot worse.
1. Plugging the M600 into the wall charger I get a red led that stays on for about 10 seconds, then goes out and nothing else happens - If I then unplug the phone and plug it back in again there is no red led. If I leave the phone unplugged over night then plug it into the power I get a red led for 10 secs then nothing.
2. Have chopped a charged and tried the pin 1 white and pin 5 other cables method but I still get no response. I have tried all combos of stylus and buttons but I just cant make this device respond.
I have just about given up hope of ever resurrecting this thing!
Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks.

s200 not powering up

I've flashed my s200 yesterday and it failed, showing me the 3 color screen.
i put the phone to usb to charge up and i left it the for about 6 ours ( dinking issues ) and i found the phone turned off in the morning. today i've managed to start the phone 2 or 3 times showing me the same 3 color screen but after a few seconds he is powering off. i allready tried hard/soft reset but nothing happend. any ideas ? thx
LE: not i cant power up the damn phone anymore and tried also with a wire cut charger
Does the device respond at all to power?
no it doesent, and i understand that only with a original wall charger will power up. i'm running out of solutions since i dont have a original wall charger and the only place in whole Romania that have HTC accessories dont have this item atm
LE: i've managed to power the phone but it took a trip to the local service center

No more bootloader no more nothing, after rom upgrade s200

Hi All,
I've tried to upgrade the ROM of my QTEK S200.
It got completely stuck!!! I had to remove the battery. Now it stays black. Even a hard-reset does nothing. No bootloader, no white screen, nothing. It's like the device doesn't recognize the battery anymore. Same problem with another battery. When I connect the power supply, the light stays red for 5 seconds and then goes out again. No charging (orange) light.
Does this mean that the device was short-cutted (hardware problem) or can this be fixed with some manipulation?
Anybody an idea how I can fix the hardware (if broken) myself? Can't be to difficult if it just blew a fuse ;-)
Thanks
If the accu not charge, I think he is dead. You need a new one. For flashing new rom, you need a good acco over 50 %. Than you go to bootloader modus and flash a WM5 Rom WM5Rom.

Yep, hes dead alrite, make a good paper weight sorry bro...
not the battery
of course I tried a new battery
same problem
Can you make a downgrade to WM5 ? Ist the battery charged now ?
DC Adapter 4,5 V
I had the same problem.
Remove the battery and connect the pin nr 1 (nearest to the cam) to + and the pin nr 5 to -. I think 3,7 to 5 V is ok. Then bootloader and connect to computer.
Don't blame me if anything goes bad ;-)
how to proceed?
I've tried to do as explained...
I've taken an old charger (5v) and connected the cables (black/white striped to 1 and black to 5). I'm not 100 percent sure about + and -, but normally black is always -, if I'm not mistakin'
What should happen? How should I proceed?
My device does nothing... No light. Power button does nothing, hard reset does nothing.
Does this procedure work with a QTEK S200?
Maybe the charger (old gsm) is too old or broken?
Maybe + is black...
Sooo many options ;-)
Worked on mine S200
Of course You must know if the adapter is working and +/-.
When I connected 1 to + and 5 to - I could operate the mobile as if the battery was mounted and working.
My problem began because the battery isn't charging in bootloader mode.
And I'm still stuck there... Because it's a G4 device flashed with G3 SPL... Anyone got a suggestion how to solve this?

I Did the same thing '''''HELP"""
What you should do
Keep the device on for 2 hours connect it to the electricity.
Install the original rom with the PDA connected like that to the PC, if it does not enter the Rom update continue trying by doing a hard reset with the stylus and pressing the left com button on the left side of the device, then retry the rom install, if it says unable to connect continue trying, using the procedure i explained before, thats what i did when the same stuff happen to me i was without my device working for a month, now i´m using WM6 with the Diamond Rom, so its possible, to do this you just have to keep trying.
my prophet is block and after try of hard reboot is dont turn on.. its not turn on on any way, no detect charger ether ( no red led ) battery was almost full when its go off..
plz help, can i try 1-5 pins solution?

My friend. A few people have tried the pin method and one or two have succeeded. IMHO i would not try it, for fear of frying your phone, yourself or starting a fire.
Take out the battery for a good couple of hours. Take out SIm card and SD card. Put battery back in and try to charge for at least 5 hours, even if the light does not show (might just be LED issue).
Then see if you can start in boot loader, u now how to yes? (keep camera button pressed, soft reset with stylus, then let go of camera button after few sconds). What happens?
pins to power
I've tried connecting the extreme small pins to the (big) cables of the charger but nothing happens over here. The screen stays black.
To All,
Any hints on how to connect these cables to the pins, without the fact that they're constantly coming off the pins and constantly touching other pins?
You try and tell me about your experience ;-)
revive prophet revive ;-)
I was just playing with my qtek when I noticed that after connecting and disconnecting it to the AC for 5 times or so (with red light going on and off for a second), it tries to startup, but drops dead after a fraction of a second. Damned ;-) No chance of going into bootloader.
Almost there ;-))

keep it plugged in for about 5 hours, dont play with it or turn it on lol, give a go unless u have done already and just havent said
Direct Connection to 220v doesn't work
The workaround of connecting the pins directly to the charger doesn't seem to work on a QTEK S200 G4.
Since mine is a G4, I wasn't lucky... I'm left with a cut charger cable.
I'll try to charge it for 5 hours but since no led is going on I don't think this will have any effect.
Listen keep it plug in to the electricity for 12 hours, then try to put it in bootloader mode by pressing the, com button on the left side of the device after you hard reset it, with the stylus after you manage to enter the bootloader mode, you only need to follow the steps described on several posts on the forum.
if nothing works connect the device and try to install the original rom, my device is a g3 so i´m not sure if the g4 works the same way.

[Q] HTC 8x stuck and rebooting after logo screen

Hello,
Had a perfectly fine HTC 8x till this morning. Then the pet at home chewed on the USB cable while the phone was charging .. I suspect the power cables may have shorted with the data cables. In any case, now the phone is totally dead when the charger is disconnected. If I reconnect the charger (new cable) then the phone vibrates, afer that the screen lights up for about 10 seconds with the HTC logo and then it switches off - it keeps doing this till the time I remove the charging cable. The Red charging LED does not come on at any time. I have tried the hard reset with Vol down and power key etc. and that did not work. Any help to revive the phone would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & regards

I bought one listed for parts on ebay a while back that would do a constant boot loop. what i did was buy a cheap phone tool kit 2$ off ebay as well. removed the rear shell on the phone. dang phone is held with sticky adhesive. its take a minute to separate the housing and screen. if you have watched those videos on youtube where there using a blow drier to heat the plastic to take the phone apart is completely nuts. It only takes patients and dont force it . then disconnected the battery. 2 whole screws. woo hoo.. i couldn't do the hard reset either because the phone woudnt charge in off-mode. just constant boot loop. i had no choice to battery pull. strange thing was the charging light would always stay on even when it was unplugged. once the battery had been disconnected from the pcb it hasn't had any problems.
T-MOBUS HTC 8x Developer Unlocked, Sim Unlocked, and Running Windows 8.1
[SOLVED] Disconnect the battery from the phone for few seconds
Problems faced:
1. Boot Loop
2. Factory Reset using Phone buttons never worked, tried everything and never ever got the " ! " icon
3. Phone keeps restarting showing the HTC logo without "quietly brilliant" ( if you don't see that probably not going to boot the OS)
4. Phone does not work at all unless connected to phone charger
SOLUTION:
After trying almost every possible thing i got this to make it work.
1. Open the back cover ( you will need a hair dryer, check YouTube)
2. Unscrew just the two screws at the bottom of your phone and disconnect the clip-pin thingy (this connects the battery to the phone) for a few seconds. ( it has a metallic cover kinda thing)
Press the power button and your phone will go back to normal.
Make sure you connect anything that gets disconnected in the process... they are quite strong so dont worry, nothing will break or cut off, but do be careful.
hi there ok i found a solution you need to take the cover off and the plug in the charger because a button is stuck
there is only 2 screws you need to unscrew and boob it works
My Case

MY CASE... I've posted a thread explaining that...
This procedure works.. but in my case not at 100% fine... cause i can't insert back the sim card since the bootloops return if i do it...
That left us with a software issue i've not been able to solve yet...
Best regards...
