I have an CHARMER PM200.
Its version was 2.xx.xxx.
Customer give that phone to some one to unlock.. and that person kill this phone..
Now its only SHOW three color screen and

SPL 2.15.0001

I tried to write ROM with T-Mobile RUU_Charmer_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship
But it give me error.
ERROR {296} : UPGRADE ONLY
This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA phone. please get new NBF file.
When I use JAFWM to flash above file its flash 100% but problem still same.
anyone know.. how I can revive this phone..

But at 80% I get error..
ERROR [326] : INVALID COMMAND

I had the same problem with my JAMin. I messed up trying to flash it with a home-made ROM and the tool used to build the ROM put two G4 SPLs instead of one G3 and one G4. This caused my G3 JAMin to have a G4 SPL. It wouldn't boot past the "rainbow screen" and the IPL and SPL levels were similar to what you have now.
The solution for me was to have it repaired under warranty :roll:
My charmer is still under problem.
Actually problem is that.. My phone is G3 chipset.. but someone flashed it with G4 flash files.
and Its spl and ipl is 2.xx.xxx and phone is detect as G4 chipset.. but phone is G3..
NOW ANYONE can guide me how I can write G3 Ipl/spl

As I mentioned my JAMin was repaired under warranty. When it was returned to me they had replaced the main board. So it seems to be quite a problem to re-write the SPL if it has been flashed with the wrong type.
The new board has the G4 flash memory, so no more unlocking/downgrading adventures for me

Extract the RUU_Charmer_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship to a folder on your pc, than Extract the file i attached ("ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe") into this folder. than connect your charmer to pc and double click on "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe".
cross your fingers.

Hi,
Yes You may be right, we need a ROM with only G3 IPL/SPL or only G3 SPL and if we can force this G3 SPL (I think JAFWM can do it but not sure) into the phone the problem will be solved.
But Question is where can we find this "RUU_Charmer_1120223_11202110_11220_T-MobileUK_Ship" as it is not available on net, the file on FTP is corrupt.
"RUU_Charmer_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship" have both G3 & G4 IPL/SPL and when we write this ROM into phone it writes G4 IPL/SPL as Phone is detected having G4 by every software.
Otherwise the only option left is "JTAG" but only one guy (ARC but he lives in Russia) know the test points for Charmer.
I solved this problem before using JAFWM dongle
just uncheck skip ipl/spl and try flash
it will flash ur mobile with the correct IPL and SPL

can u please confirm me that you had same problem of G4 SPl on G3 DOC.
Because JAFWM detects my phone as G4 DOC and the ROM you mentioned has both G3 & G4 SPL so I think It will try to write G4 SPL not G3.

just detect ur phone in JAFWM , chose the nk file for ur charmer , uncheck skip ipl/spl then flash
in that way i think ur mobile will be revived again

2.No i can't because the screen was black, with some white light flashing and the power, bluetooth LEDs kept flashing with black screen.I tried to get into the bootloader mode, but no way...it gives the same black screen with blinking LEDs

No you should not. Since their is no difference whatsovever during normal use. So why should you?
No need to update, there comes no known improvement with the higher IPL/SPL version. And with G4 devices you cannot downgrade anymore once you have the latest version on it. My advice do not update, but you are free to deceide. I will stick with my present version.

resolder the g3 chip, it costs about $70 to make and never ever touch your ipl/spl again.
Hello everyone,
I'm totally lost in this WM6 upgrade.
I've tried everything but i wont get my MDA Vario to flash with WM6.
My MDA Vario is unlocked (sim and CID) but i can't flash it because of my SPL 2.21????
This is what i have done:
installed button's 1.05 ROM
Download & installed lokiwiz - HTC Wizard Unlocker UPDATE Version 0.2b.
But stil my SPL is at 2.21.
Can someone please help me out here??

Both your IPL and your SPL must be 2.xx and higher. After you flashed to Buttons rom. did you reflash to a higher version after after you unlocked and cid unlocked your phone to make sure both IPL and SPL were 2.xx or higher?
I've followed the tutorial:
16. Watch the rebooting of your PDA, if BOTH IPL and SPL are 1.xx then great. Quite probably your IPL will be 1.xx and your SPL will be 2.xx. Rerun the button 1.05 ROM downgrade a second time and it will become 1.x on both IPL and SPL. You don't need to redo the unlocking.
17. My suggestion, take for what it's worth, is to download and install the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM
This will give you a strong 2.26 IPL and SPL to work with.
My IPL was 1.XX after the 1.05 downgrade, but my SPL was still 2.21 even after the rerun.
I have tried to instal T-Mobile 2.26 rom, but it gave an error.
check if you have G3 or G4 unit
I have a 3G device.

I think that you haven't unlocked the phone properly. Read Dr. P's tutorial about unlocking G3 phones.

WHen you downgrade to the Button rom, in most cases the IPL will change, but the SPL will not. You then have to downgrade again to get the SPL to get to 1.xx . There have been some cases reported where it takes reflahsing the button rom many times (like 8 times or somesuch) before the SPL will finally come down, but you have to complete this step or you will not be CID Unlocked.
Make sure you have your SD card out when you are flashing as this can cause problems.
Good luck, and sorry, but for those that have run into the stuck SPL there hasn't been a real solution other than keep flashing the button rom until it drops down to 1.xx. After that then the CID unlock will be complete and you can then flash the T-Mobile 2.26 rom (or whatever other 2.xx rom you want).

The Dr. P tutorial specifically says this (just not in those words). It tells you (after the last lokiwiz) to watch your screen and that you most likely will still have an SPL of 2.xx and will need to reflash (most people just don't read this and try to move on). The part of about having to reflash numerous times is new though. I've only heard of it a few times, but if you look at the posts from a month or so agao in the Dr P thread on unlocking you'll see where a few people ran into it and it took numerous flashes to finally get SPL to go to 1.xx.
before wm6 roms, every time there was a new rom for wm5 (molski or faria) you'd always get people in the thread mentioning that their ipl and spl are different. in those threads, the advice has always been to reflash a few extra times too. (I personally haven't had any problems with this...but i think i started my unlocking on a 1.8 us t-mobile rom with xelencin's rom...which had an unlocker built into the rom update package).
anyway, the phone's not bricked or anything, so you just have to keep flashing to get it working...

I've re-flashed 3 times but if i understand correct, than i have to retry flashing until SPL and IPL are the same?

yes. ipl and spl should both drop to 1.05. at that point you can go through the unlock and flash back up.

I may have solution but I'm afraid to post it here, and one has the strength to test it.
it will writ the SPL using pdocwrit;, but I'm afraid cause when read the SPL it will have the same begining of the SPL in nk.nbf but after a while it will have diffreneces, but when I read the SPL using r2sd command it will have the smae SPL in nk.nbf
and I have harmless SPL solution it will have the same version 3.08 but it will be the same as 2.20 if anyone intrested in this please answer me

if done succefuly this new 3.09 has the same functions of 2.20 SPL
so if one has unlocked G3 with 3.08 and success to upgrade 3.09 (2.20) please try to unlock CID the device and to install the 2.20
and if it works with G4 device this 3.09 has the same funtions of 2.20 and the device will be again PM300

what is the diference between 2.20 and 3.08,i mean functions?
the functions in 2.20 is for prophet hardware and 3.08 are for charmer hardware and there is of course defference between them
3.09 is for prophet hardware the same as 2.20 and you can stay with it for your prophet

If you do some searching, you'll discover that IPLs/SPLs higher than 2.26 tend to cause problems with custom WM6 ROMs. There's no reason to go any higher than 2.26.

No. I do have no problem so far. My IPL and SPL are both 3.08 and using NBD. Very stable and very fast after changing pagepool to 12MB.

I upgraded my os to WM6 and followed the thread in this forum. Then my IPL/SPL is 2.16. Now they are different , my IPL is 1.01 and my SPL is 2.16, does this matter? Did I missed some procedure? Is there a procedure that can make the IPL/SPL with the same number?

You didn't follow the flashing guide. This time, read the entire guide and all of the stickies before you attempt to unlock your phone.
I don't have any problems with IPL/SPL 3.08, its working great with WM6 and it has bit fast booting time, and i believe this is solid as T-Mob's 2.26. Newer Bootloader doesn't have any issue, beside i dont have any lockups after 3.08. Anyways its your own pref. so i prefer 3.08 and radio 2.69.11 for T-Mob users.

you may have missed a step about having to reflash buttons/love rom a few times until both ipl/spl are in the 1.xx. afterwards flash up to a 2.xx rom (recommended t-mobile usa 2.26), then flash to a 3.xx if you want to (floating around, but there is an official t-mobile ver in germany).
i went to upgrade my ipl/spl and i ran into a problem. the ruu tool reset my phone as usual to restart in bootloader but it never came back on. it cut off and now it wont turn on. can someone help? is my phone bricked?
try booting manually into bootloader if that works, restore using the Official ROM that comes from Carrier.
edit: wait are you telling me that you upgraded your IPL/SPL on G4???? with G3.... Dude thats bad sign

Try Googling as well, you might get some ideas and yea good luck bro. I've got a friend who bricked his G4 and revived with those ideas.
