heyy....i have got this menacing problem with my prophet G4

when i switch it on...it goes till the blue screen showing imate and the versions of IPL/SPL etc given abv but then shows a white screen and crashes.. hv tried a soft reset/ hard reset but it duznt format....i have downloaded two roms one is JAMin_WWE_2130923_21309112_02072_0ship from clubimate.com and Prophet_orange_uk_ROM. i go into the bootloader program with three colored screen and when i connect it with the usb the "usb" comes at the bottom left of my imate jammin.....but PC doesnt recognize the device saying "windows cannot recognize the device or it as malfunctioned" active sync obviously doesnt connnect then! and i get error 260 Update error saying that PDA cannot be accessed or something...HOW DO I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM frustration

In need some advice. I think my device is dead.
I`ve updated my mda about 5 times and i never had any problems now i updated my device with rom version from qtek.nl version MDA_TA_WWE_DutchRetail_11200_550_11200_ship but at the second part it hangs up at 47 % and gave me a error, like de message sad i disconnect my device soft reset the device and tried to update it again but it`s not working.
If i connect my device on my pc it does not show up, also if i connect it to the power suppl now light is burning (so i think it`s now charging) the only thing i see on my device is the QTEK logo and some kind of picture of a night city below i see R 1.12.00 / 1337 42 / D 1.12.00 WWE on the left side i see the logo of windows. I have removed the battery but still i see the same screen and i can not turn it of.... if any one can help me with this pleas let me know.
Hi everybody,
i have flashed the WM6 underground edition a couple of weeks back. Now i wanted to downgrade to WM5, but without success. I am using IPL/SPL 2.21. After starting the ruu upgrade software the Wizard switches to boot mode. So far so good.... But then nothing happens anymore and after a minute or so the software quits with error 260.
Any hints what to do ??
I have the newest Activesync installed.. I even cannot flash any other Wm6 rom.
Any help would really be appreciated !!!!

When you reboot your phone, post exactly what version IPL and SPL you see.
Didn't someone once post that there was a difference in USB cables....Grasping at straws, but just a thought!
Hmmm... do you hear the active sync connection bell ring when it reboots into bootloader? At the bottom of the screen, do you see the letters USB near the left hardkey?
Might try another PC, or even a different USB port on the same machine. Sounds like the USB is acting up.
After the phone reboots i can see IPL/SPL 2.11.
I can hear three bell rings with the same low frequency. To
me that is not correct as the connection bell ring should be two tones ?
I can see "USB" on the left side of the Wizard's screen.
I also tried different cables, but no success.
I am using WIN XP with SP2. Upgrading worked flawless
some month back with WM5.
The only thing i had to change was ActiveSync 4.5 as WM6 is only
supported there.
Any hint ???

ERROR [248~260] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs when there is an “open port error” before upgrading the CE ROM image.
Solution: You can reset the device and run RUU again. If you still encounter an “OPEN PORT ERROR” again, reset your computer and try again.
This is taken from the redme inside the RUU
Good Luck
Put the phone into bootloader mode, kill WCESCOMM.exe from process list, attach Wizard, let it install driver, open up RUU and (hopefully) flash.
Also make sure you pull out your SD card while you try to flash your phone.

yesterday my TC first stuck in tricolor screen and shows
POLA100 RUUNBH
SPL-1.25.0000
CPLD-2
and downwards: USB or SERIAL
It happened as I tried to flash back the original Radio for it. The update monitor showed ERROR 262 (0%), before that I had already installed signed_RUU. for original German WM6-ROM and it worked fine exept the decreasing GSM connection.
After that I searched here the whole night for solutions but none of them (MTTY, Radio Murata, UN-SPL, flash Radio or OS from microSD) helped.
I guess it's all I am able to!
Maybe one of you guys can help me?
Or can anybod tell me whether my TC is dead?

Did you install HardSPL before playing around with your phone?
Yes I did, and it worked fine exept the bad radio issue.
My TC started to hang as I tried to get back.

I've been searching and searching, and trying and trying, but I can't seem to get past this Error [262] when I'm trying to upgrade my ROM or Radio (HTC Diamond).
What I'm doing is this basically:
I downloaded DiamonCustomRUU.exe, put it in a folder with the radio/rom (say Diamond_Radio_1.00.25.05.nbh), I connect my HTC Diamond to my pc via usb, activesync is on, I start up the RUU, go through all the steps, then at the end when the update 'starts', my phone goes off, starts up in the 4 coloured screen, activesync stops, then my phonescreen turns grey with the progress bar (stuck at 0%), and on my laptop there's a progress bar as well. It does nothing, and after about 5 minutes, I get the Error [262].
I reinstalled Activesync, but no changes. I installed HardSPLL though. I tried another USB-port, doing it without my firewall on (someone suggested it, yes I'm desperate)... I have no idea where to go from here.
Can anyone help? (sorry if this is the wrong section..)

Had the normal (signed)SPL instead of the hardSPL. Can be locked
I'm trying to prepare my old 6700 to give to a friend, but can't get it reflashed to the stock sprint rom (APAC_SPCS_20600_300_11200_ship.exe, downloaded directly from Sprint). It appears the phone is stuck in the 1.00 bootloader (dark screen, says "SERIAL" until I connect the USB, then changes to "USB".
MTTY couldn't connect (no "USB" in menu), but nueTTY can. The problem HERE is that once I'm connected, I have no idea what to actually DO. Searching returns about a thousand results, and all the results I looked at either didn't resolve the problem and left it hanging, or involved PMs that solved the problem for THEM, but left no information of enduring value for anyone ELSE to read. I've seen dozens of postings saying "use MTTY to run the exit bootloader app", but no hint of what that app actually IS, or how to go about launching it.
So... with the phone tethered via USB, 1.00 bootloader active, and connected via nueTTY... what do I do next?
