Restarts each time it enters standby - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

For some strange reason my Vario restarts each time it enters standby.
Either when I press the button or when the backlight/system times out so it enters standby automatically...
Anyone seen this kinda thing before and know a solution?

Because I'm using WM6 on it (the Microsft released version)?

There is no officiall version of WM6 for HTC Wizard
All we discuss here are unofficiall ones... Which one do you use?

IPL & SPL 2.26
I'm using InGeNeTiCs' version of WM6....
I just did a hard reset, but the damn thing keeps rebooting...
Seems more like a hardwareproblem then, right?
Althoug it IS strange that it also reboots after the display timeout...
If I press the standby button and repress it within a second then the screen comes back on again. I I wait a bit longer (so 2 secs and longer) it stays off and reboots

I flashed the NEW ROM straight away, over the old Faria ROM that I had.
It worked fine for about a week or so, but now it starts acting up.
I just did a hard reset, bu it the reboots are still there.
Any advice how to flash another ROM?
Should I go back to some other ROM version first, or is there a WM6 ROM you would recommend which first "clears" everything currently in ROM and Extended ROM?

'Press Send to restore factory default' message is missing

I recently upgraded to ASERG ROM and after that the message 'Press Send to restore factory default' was gone in the bootlader screen in order to hard reste my device.
Currently I have installed the Smart1 v1.3 ROM (it's a great ROM!) and I was hoping to get the message back. But it is still not shown, so I cannot hard reset my device this way.
Can anybody help me with this problem?

I do not think that this is a hardware problem, because I can get into the bootloader screen using the Power and ComMannager button together with the reset. But I do not get the messge and pressing the Send button does not hard reset my device.
dear the bootloader only needs the camera button, I think it is hardware problem just clean the button

Happy Face, you will need to reinstall your last wm5 vendor rom, & then do the 2 step process of the upgrade again.
Use ONLY the nvid file of the 1st step from PDAviet wm6 rom for this part of process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308266
he did use it, I'm sure his problem is hardware, cause he press the 2 buttons and he goes to the bootloader, it not about the rom it is from the IPL or hardware problem, and I think it is hardware one
plesae does the comm manneger works in windows?
I have used another NVID WM5 and the message (together with the hard reset functionality) is back.
Thank you all!

If it's a ROM you cooked yourself then it's too large to fit. Otherwise, not sure.
What ROM are you trying to flash?
update it with the wizard love ROM and then use shell tool to get the OS u want from any ROM.
I'm gonna say this just to cover all the bases..I'm not sure how long you are waiting but a standard flash can stay at 99% for a LONG time before finally finishing the flash...when they say the flash should take around 10 minutes they are not kidding so I hope you are not just getting impatient.

Just wait for it, it stays at 99% for 5 mins sometimes.

hold down the record button and comand button at the same time then reset using the stylus (while holding the buttons) then a black screen will appear asking you to press call button to hard reset
for more details you have to visit wiki
It sounds to me like you didnt do much reading before diving into this whole process. If you have a CID locked g4, you will never be able to flash a custom rom with ruu method untill unlocking it.
Should you use shelltool then you will need to wait untill it says it is finished(read all instructions before attempting. They will tell you everything you need to know) If shell tool never gives you the complete message then just let it sit for about half an hour to be safe and then just HARD RESET, NOT SOFT RESET by holding comm manager, voice button and using stylus to reset with the little pin hole.
If you read everythign there is to know about the process and all possibilities, then you will have no problem.
Just read read read... This website is like the rom flashers bible. Everything you need to know is all here. You just have to find it and read it.

Try flashing in bootloader.
Hold down Power button + Camera Button + insert stylus into reset.
Flash away.

Do you see the upload meter on your PC or on both PC and Phone? If only on the PC, then you might not have the HardSPL flashed or installed, which you would need to do first before you can flash to a new ROM. If you see the load meter on both screens, phone and PC and it hangs, then do what Alltheway suggested.
I tried that too. I have no problem getting to where it is about to load. It just won't load and stays at 0%.
I get 0% on both PDA and PC.

OK... Turn off your Fire wall and pause your Anti Virus program until the program loads to 100%.
Once more... Did you install the HardSPL?
Go here first if you have not installed the CID unlocker ( HardSPL)

I tried loading HardSPL. I get the same problem when trying to load HardSPL. 0% progress. I'll try stopping my antivirus to see if that fixes things. I also have an 8525 in which I'm able to flash ROMs with no problems on the same computer. I suspect it is something with my 8925.

No it is not... The Qualcom processor behaves differently than the Samsung. So the loading environment one processor accepts is not necessary a common denominator.
Disable your Firewall and your AntiVirus and start fresh. Please read the HardSPL ( CID Unlocking) procedure carefully.
Thanks for clarifying that asfoor! I'll give it a try.
OK, I deinstalled my virus protection and turned off my firewall and still I get up to the point that a ROM (even for hardSPL) is about to load and nothing happens.
I did a hard reset and it looks like it cleared the problem. I was able to flash the hardSPL...Thanks everyone!

You definitely have a Anti-Virus program that is conflicting with the install. I would try the install on another machine, then see if you get the same issue.

To perfomr a Hard Reset :-
In this scenario the common solution is to do a hard reset,to do the Hard reset.Press and hold the comm manager button and the voice command button, while keep the two buttons pressed, and at the same time, use the stylus to lightly press and hold the Reset button, the phone will reboot and ask for confirmation, accept it and phone will do a hard reset.check if it helps, otherwise, most probably, its a bad flash or the the extended_rom is corrupted.Reflash the official carrier's rom to clear/correct the extended_rom or reflash the TNT 19209 touchflo ,do this with getting into Bootloaders (Tricolor screen),hope it'll work.
the first solution dont work, in the second i press the reset button it resets and still have the problem.
the other solution i dont understand. my phone cannot connect activesync so i cant flash a new rom.. if thats what you tried to say
ultimate solution is with me
if everything fails the i will request u to send ur set to me...by some chance when my set stuck the last time i had a friend in o2 service centre and he took my phone and flashed a new rom in 2 hrs. let me know if that suits u.....mail me at [email protected] and i will get it done for u

Be a sport, don't start posting the same request and offering your service to everybody and in every thread, requesting them to send their phones to you for repair, you know it yourself its not feasible and practical. If you have a genuine solution, why don't you start a new thread and post the procedure alongwith the software you claim you have to revive a phone in this manner,if you honestly intend to help and do a service to the community. According to your name and email ,I presume you are somewhere in India,do you think, its viable to send all the phones from all around the world to you for repair,NO kidding !!! I don't mean any offense towards you though !

Activesync will not work in this situation, but if you are able to get into Bootloaders (tricolor screen) its possible to flash a rom,and you don't need to activesync to perform a flash, infact when you start a Rom to flash,it automatically cuts off the activesync all by itself even in the normal condition,so don't worry if the activesync doesn't work now, just try to get into Bootloaders mode and flash a rom.

Press and keep holding down Camera button and at the same time Soft reset or
Camera Button + Power on the phone,it'll take the phone into Bootloaders mode (tricolor screen). While in Bootloaders, Hook up the phone with pc via usb cable, watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders and run the RUU,it'll start to flash the Rom,ok
if everything fails rememer me........but be fast and stop trying all hanky panky things on ur device it can damage it further........

XDA Orbit 2 stuck in reboot-loop

Hello Guys, I've got a problem with my Polaris200. (XDA Orbit 2)
I already searched for the same issue on the polaris forums but didn't find someone who has the same problem.
Problem description:
5 days ago i flashed my XDA Orbit 2 back to the official O2-WinMobile-6.1-Firmware (GER). I had different cooked roms on it, M-Amine 2.0 was the last before this. Hard-SPL is installed of course.
At first everything was fine after flashing to o2-firmware but after a soft reset, the following happened: my phone is stuck at the o2-splashscreen, then restarts again and again every 20 secs. Maybe it helps that I can say that there is no status shown in lower-right side which usually appers ten seconds after soft-resetting the phone.
I already tried a hard reset via Bootloader Mode and a reflash of the same firmware, but the issue remains
Any suggestions what I could do?
Thank you in advance.
EDIT:
Finally I made a big mistake using mtty. The execution of task 2a erases the whole NAND... unfortunately my device isn't security unlocked so far, so that it seems to be bricked!
Do you really have no idea? Maybe there is a way using mtty.exe?
I think the main problem is, that the R+P+R (Radio+Protocol+Rom) isn't displayed at the splash-screen when booting.
Next problem is, that I can't use my guarantee because I can't reflash to original SPL due to the fact that I can't get an active sync connection because windows mobile 6.1 is not booting.
I could really need some help

Try the Recovery procedure. Remove the battery wait for at least three seconds, replace the battery. Flash again. Keep fingers crossed.
I did this before the "hard-brick" via task 2a...
I even removed the battery for 48 hours and replaced it... but same issue as before!
I m having 100% same problem. Tried installing different roms, even original orbit2 rom but nothing works. U r all requested to pls. Help me in this.
Thank u in advance.
