When flashing a ROM on my 8925, I get to the point where it looks like it is about to load, but it stays at 0% and goes nowhere. I tried looking for a fix, but only found the White screen of death which is different from my problem.
Please HELP!

Try flashing in bootloader.
Hold down Power button + Camera Button + insert stylus into reset.
Flash away.

Do you see the upload meter on your PC or on both PC and Phone? If only on the PC, then you might not have the HardSPL flashed or installed, which you would need to do first before you can flash to a new ROM. If you see the load meter on both screens, phone and PC and it hangs, then do what Alltheway suggested.
I tried that too. I have no problem getting to where it is about to load. It just won't load and stays at 0%.
I get 0% on both PDA and PC.

OK... Turn off your Fire wall and pause your Anti Virus program until the program loads to 100%.
Once more... Did you install the HardSPL?

I tried loading HardSPL. I get the same problem when trying to load HardSPL. 0% progress. I'll try stopping my antivirus to see if that fixes things. I also have an 8525 in which I'm able to flash ROMs with no problems on the same computer. I suspect it is something with my 8925.

No it is not... The Qualcom processor behaves differently than the Samsung. So the loading environment one processor accepts is not necessary a common denominator.
Disable your Firewall and your AntiVirus and start fresh. Please read the HardSPL ( CID Unlocking) procedure carefully.

OK, I deinstalled my virus protection and turned off my firewall and still I get up to the point that a ROM (even for hardSPL) is about to load and nothing happens.
I did a hard reset and it looks like it cleared the problem. I was able to flash the hardSPL...Thanks everyone!

I have the same issue.. And none of that software is even installed on this machine. I've tried the hard reset too. Still nothing. Any ideas?

HardSPL is NOT the same as Hard Reset ! Please read the thread on Unlocking your CID.

You definitely have a Anti-Virus program that is conflicting with the install. I would try the install on another machine, then see if you get the same issue.

... lol ... Yeah, I know. I know what I'm doing. Im not a rookie. I've been flashing phones for like 2 years now. I was saying that I've even hard reset'd the phone and tried on a fresh hard reset. To no avail.
just upgraded my phone vesion from wm6.1 19199 touchflo to wm6.1 19209 touchflo yesterday.. and it worked well, until now, i am trying to turn on the phone but it stucks at " windows mobile 6.1 professional ".
i tried to turn it on a lot of times and to do soft reset and take the battery out but it is the same all the times. i also charge the battery but it is full and it still happens.
please! what can i do??

To perfomr a Hard Reset :-
In this scenario the common solution is to do a hard reset,to do the Hard reset.Press and hold the comm manager button and the voice command button,while keep the two buttons pressed,and at the same time,use the stylus to lightly press and hold the Reset button,the phone will reboot and ask for confirmation,accept it and phone will do a hard reset.check if it helps,otherwise,most probably,its a bad flash or the the extended_rom is corrupted.Reflash the official carrier's rom to clear/correct the extended_rom or reflash the TNT 19209 touchflo ,do this with getting into Bootloaders (Tricolor screen),hope it'll work.
the first solution dont work, in the second i press the reset button it resets and still have the problem.

Be a sport,don't start posting the same request and offering your service to everybody and in every thread, requesting them to send their phones to you for repair,you know it yourself its not feasible and practical.If you have a genuine solution,why don't you start a new thread and post the procedure alongwith the software you claim you have to revive a phone in this manner,if you honestly intend to help and do a service to the community. According to your name and email ,I presume you are somewhere in India,do you think,its viable to send all the phones from all around the world to you for repair,NO kidding !!! I don't mean any offense towards you though !

Activesync will not work in this situation,but if you are able to get into Bootloaders (tricolor screen) its possible to flash a rom,and you don't need to activesync to perform a flash,infact when you start a Rom to flash,it automatically cuts off the activesync all by itself even in the normal condition,so don't worry if the activesync doesn't work now,just try to get into Bootloaders mode and flash a rom.

Press and keep holding down Camera button and at the same time Soft reset or
Camera Button + Power on the phone,it'll take the phone into Bootloaders mode (tricolor screen).While in Bootloaders, Hook up the phone with pc via usb cable,watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders and run the RUU,it'll start to flash the Rom,ok
if everything fails rememer me........but be fast and stop trying all hanky panky things on ur device it can damage it further........

*** i got my phone up and running. i am using a very old firmware from at and t from 12/07. however, fromt this point on, any other rom that i try to use is giving me a 302 error, both official and cooked roms except for the old one. can anyone shine some insight on this? thanks.
UPDATE on current problem:
1) i tried to update to a custom rom for the first time. it had worked. i used hard spl 3.29, then installed the natf v4 rom. the rom worked fine and everything. however, it was not to my liking.
2) maybe this was my stupidest mistake because i am a newbie. i tried to install an official rom right after. when i did this, the phone was stuck on 89%, and just freezes. and now i am stuck at the tri color screen (boot screen).
3) nothing i load is working. can someone please point me in the right direction in what im suppoose to do from here. i tried the sticky thread, but i am not having any luck. i need this to work asap. please help. thanks all is aprpeciated.
when i try to install the same natf rom, i get the error 262. it doesnt even go past 0%.
when i try to install the original oem rom, it goes to 89%, and stops and gives me a 309 error.
there's plenty of stickies and other topics around that have potential solutions, try those first, post back if nothing's working.

yes ih ave tried. the phone is not workign whatsoever. it wont pass the at and t screen that show the R, G, and D numbers. i can do hard reset, that doesnt work. it just stops. im still searching all over the forum right now. but i need the right solution because i need to get this phone to work ughh im sorry if i seem like im asking to much. please any help is appreciated thanks.
i also cant plug it in through usb. after it freezes that stops too so i cant load anything to update the phone.
What version of hardspl are you flashing? Maybe your rom do not support that. try to manually go to tri color screen and see if it connect to USB or not.

i beleive it was 3.29. how do i manually go into tri color screen? note i cant go pass the first screen
i am currently trying the sd card method to boot up with the kaidiag.nbh file. its not working. nothing boots up. its still freezing at the first screen.

thanks. i jsut tried that. it booted up and isntalled update. it went to the tri color screen, then to the white loading screen, and now im stuck again...
ok it got pass the white loading screen. now im stuck at the good ol tri color screen. anything i was trying to load fromthis point foward is not working. evrtygyhing either is stuck on 0% or it jsut gives me an error to go to recovery mode. please help. i jsut want to revert bck to the oem rom if possible. i just need my phone up and running.

Could this have something to do with the NAFT Rom I was running.
Above the message I see the windows logo in the upper left and then the word Start - but nothing works when I click on those. In addition when I try to sink to my computer it does not connect, so I can not explore using ActiveSync or even going through My computer. I am stumped on what to do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It was leaked so it was beta, and ms put a timebomb in it. You need to install a new rom from bootloader.
I'm not using ROMeOS, I have RRE Fuze Edition. (Well it may be, I frankly don't remember what one it was. Thats what displays on that start)
Is there anyway to not lose my data?

Yea what I meant was apparently its also affecting other roms because they all used the same build (21009) in their rom. Anything on your phone is gone. I THINK the sd card is safe
****ing ****, why the hell do devs do that.
Ya SD card is obviously safe, but last time I did a backup was like a month ago (Ya i know...)

Yea your going to have to install a new ROM buy downloading it and then putting the rom onto the root of your sd card. make sure the rom is RAPHIMG.nbh (and you only need the .NBH) Then hold vol down and reset until the tricolor screen comes up. It'll scan the sd, find the rom, press power button to flash.

P.S. dont forget to hard reset when your done!
P.P.S they most likely didn't know that this was a beta build that ms had put a timebomb in. Just another one of the reasons that people should really take the whole "flash at your own risk" thing seriously

how do I put ROM on the root of my sd card. I can not see the card on my phone because when attached it does not recognize the phone at all.

Sorry that im not more technical, ive had this phone for months and yet ive barely messed around.
It's just always recommended to hard-reset after installing a new rom. It's basically to ensure that you won't have any bugs or such.
Make sure you do it at the right time though! Wait until you get to the "Tap screen to setup device" screen. Then hard reset, which in case you didn't know is vol down center button, and reset until the tri color comes up, then vol up to reset

I have my microSD adapter, it came with mine. But my camera isnt recognizing it so its not appearing on my PC. And I don't have a normal SD connecter, GGRRRRRRRRRRR.

Have you tried a HARD RESET (hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER (center) Buttons, press the RESET button with the stylus tip, then release the RESET button but continue to hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until the reset screen appears)
Havn't tried a hard reset but I guess I might as well, gonna lose everything anyway.

A hard reset is just most likely just going to result with the user having the same out-of-date rom as he did before, resulting in the same message

You don't need the adapter. Just put the phone in bootloader mode by turning the phone on while holding the volume up button and flash like you normally do. This is how I usually flash so that I can skip all the activesync junk.

what I have done is hard rebooted and reinstalled factory defaults to at least get the phone working. but after coming back up with the default settings, the phone automatically reinstalled NAFT's ROM, which then put me back at the crashed message. going to try again.
So long story short, I tried to do something I probably shouldn't have, and now my phone wont boot. It does the boot screen, and then to a black screen where the screen is active, and if I touch it, the buttons light up. I can get into a recovery screen with vol- and 3D button, but it says "can't mount cache recovery log" with whatever I press. I've tried following the guide here, but I get to where I start updating, and the program just stops responding. Been trying different things for a few hours now. Every search I find says that it is solvable, but at the same time, I can't seem to solve it.
Any info I'm missing? Getting reckless here. I guess I deserve it for what I've gotten myself into. Anything is appreciated!

Find dark lestats guide and do the volume plus up and connect it to your pc and flash a kdz.. After you flash kdz start it in recovery wipe everything and your sorted...
This is my problem... I can't seem to get the guide working. I get to where the KDZ should install, but then the program stops responding, and says it can't find device. Is it because I'm not putting it in download mode right?

Your welcome anytime what did you do exactly anyway..
Just didn't mount the phone correctly. Never actually did get it to vibrate, and it just didn't want to show in device manager. But it ended up working.

OH! Yeah, I just tried to flash a baseband to get CM7 networking to work. Had no idea what I was doing. Stupid me.
Doing more research now... If I'm running v20c, what kind of roms can I flash? It seems like there aren't any at all. Or does it matter what roms I flash in relation to what version I currently have? It's all a learning experience for me lol.

You can flash any roms on any basebands.. but you cannot mix gingerbread roms with froyo basebands its a no go lol..
Okay, well that makes more sense. I assume it works as whatever rom you flash, the baseband you have is what it uses?

On my phone flashing kdz finished with 100% but when I try to start it remain on boot logo and when I put in recovery (3d + voldwn+pwr) cache problem, no more option no wipe and no reboot.
Tried v10k-v10d-v20a-v21d
Someone can help me?
