ETEN m700 VS HTC TYTN - General Topics

Which one should i get?
I like the m700 for the GPS, design, smaller size
But the TYTN has more cellular networks, 2 cameras
Is cellular networks important? Im just gonna use it in Canada and get a prepaid card when i travel.
Any suggestions? Pros and cons of each decision?

Maybe you should wait for the Kaiser?

Get HTC Kaiser

I would, but isnt that like twice as much as either of the two options there?

don't go for the eten! its full of bugs and the manufactuar doesn't seem to care.
Be warned. The eten is a verry bad device

Need help buying a new HTC phone unlocked.

I'm planning on ditching Sprint for ATT or T-Mobile because I cant get any international texts. Sprint claims its an issue with the international carriers. However, I was with T-Mob for years with the same number and I got tects from, England, Ireland, Germany, Nigeria etc.
Anyway, does anyone know of a good unlocked HTC PDA phone that will work with ATTs HSDPA(yeah I know about the tilt but it sucks). Any ideas please?
if ur willing to suffer for another month or two, the new Diamond is coming out for tmobile, which (except for battery time) is gonna be a whole new breed of ppc. if ur willing to switch to tmobile then yay for u, especially since tmobile is coming out with new 3G thats faster than ATT. if not im sure that there'll be a way to unlock it within 2 weeks of release. anyway good luck.
I've been eyeing the HTC Cruise(Polaris) lately. Actually I've spent the last 3 hours researching it and i think I'll make the jump. It's gonna force me to go to ATT since it will only work on their 3G spectrum.
It might just be me but I'm not intrigued by the diamond. The only upside is has above the Cruise is the today UI, which I'm sure wil be ported over as a cab once the diamond is released.

Well the diamond also has a faster processor and 4x the resolution screen as well as more ram compared to the Cruise.
www.expansys.com sell unlock phones in many countries
and diamond dont have 4X resolution it got 2X
if it had 4X it would be a 1280x960 device

Wizard vs Titan/HTC P4000

Hi,
I'm looking to get an HTC p4000. Looking from comments from someone who has used both. Anyone think its a worthy upgrade? Or should I stick with the wizard? I see that it has a 400 Mhz processor but since they're both by different companies, I dont think it means a 2x performance boost. Other than that the only good thing i see are dedicated start and ok keys, and a jog wheel.
I am not sure how much memory (RAM) does titan has. If it has more than wizard then its worth upgrade, if not, stick with wizard for a while, and buy a kaiser or rapheal.
Well, the Titan is CDMA correct? If so, then you cant use a SIM card with it as it is not compatible with GSM SIM cards or networks. And also, if I remeber correctly, it has either 128 or 256MB of RAM and is indeed made by HTC(as most WinMo phones are). So you may wanna do some research man before you buy!

HTC sells Camera-less model?

I'm wondering if anyone here knows whether HTC offers non-camera variants of its [newer] cellphones. As usual, not much turns up on google as companies don't usually advertise (or even list!) such variants. Currently I own an Elfin running Onyx 2.2 firmware obtained from this forum, but soon I'll be starting work in an organization which prohibits all forms of cameras. It's a shame to have to ditch the HTC in favor of those cheap $60 trash-phones which do nothing save transceive calls and SMSes. (...and not to mention a significant inconvenience as I'll have to buy a separate pda/laptop etc.)
take it out yourself?
i saw someone asking the same thing in the raphael forums, because he has the same dilemma. said he took the camera out of his tytn ii
Cingular 3100 WM5(6.1) smartphone doesn't have a camera, instead of Cingular 3125 (the same but with camera)

HTC TyTN II (Kaiser) 3g on Tmobile US network

Hi all,
Can anyone confirm that the Kaiser can fully utilize 3g data on the TMobile US 3g network? I have seen several (old) articles that pre-date the release of the Kaiser saying it may be the 'first 3g windows mobile phone available'. I have the opportunity to get an AT&T tilt from someone I know, but before I go through the process of unlocking the sim and flashing the ROM I'd like to know if it is worth my while. I've been waiting for the pharos traveler 137 to be released for a few months now but I know that Tmobile has no interest in carrying it ( I talked to a few service reps, and they just play dumb and say they've never heard of pharos or a 3g capable WM phone). So without the plan upgrade discount the phone is going to be $600, all for the luxury of using the 3g network on a phone that actually supports msexchange email.
between aardvark ( company developing ms direct push app for android), the pharos smartphone, and getting info on this TyTn II i feel like I've been doing a whole lot of waiting for a phone that has what I feel are two very basic features nowadays on other networks
Comments appreciated,

Works Good Dude!! i'm in CT, in USA and have used a kaiser with my tmobile sim, works faster
unfortunately, you get Edge only. Few PPC's have tmob 3G off the wall 1700/2100 mhz radio combo. The G1 has it, and maybe a few other New PPC's.

Need suggestions on next phone

i have a Treo 800w and can not get VoIP working and looks like after lots of research it isn't gonna happen.
so i am looking at upgrading my sprint treo 800w to an HTC device.
so which has the most options/rom's and so on that has a keyboard on, no touch keyboards for me. i seem to not be able to type and drive at the same time with em to well.
thanks for the input. btw, we may also be switching carriers to wither t-mobile, alltel or verizon.
just need some input.
thanks again

Welcome to the forum
Being a Universal user I agree with you about the physical keyboard!
If you dont mind to wait a few months check Touch Pro 2, it seems a good option.

Personally, I would stay away from cdma networks if you are going to get an htc device. Tmob and Att would suit you best and customer service is above par.
im in the seame trouble, but i have a big big problem i live in mexico and the news phones is too dificult have in my distribuitor(telcel) i want a Htc pro 2 i the most complete phone, i have a nokia n95 is good, i have a htc excalibur with wm6.1 with cavanna´s rom, is more good jajajjaa, one of my best friends have a xperia, i like but i like omnia but htc pro 2 is the perfect device but i can´t have because telcel is too late for offer devices.
other option is buy in web but that is after i change model by telcel
thanks
