I have just read on this forum many people with my identical problem: i did upgrade to my gmsart i64 with the rom of i128 (only because i didn't know that my phone is a i64!).
Many of us made a lot of test to resolve this problem (now the phone dont' start and if i repeat the upgrade with the original firmware, during the installation i have this error: FORMAT DSK2 ---FAIL)
I would know, if you are so kind, if you have a solution.
Have i to put in the trash my phone??
THANKS A LOT FOR ALL!
I dont think so,you just need to do more reading in this forum.Dont be sad, man.
Nobody have a suggest?
Is there a method to format DSK2?
Thnaks

you did the same mistake as many others, so the only solution is to send your phone for repair to Gigabyte or some service centre.

I read that thread!
In the next day, i'll bring my phone to Gigabyte Center in Italy.

@VincTAN:
did you do any type of test to solve the problem?
Do you have FORMAT DSK2 FAIL problem also?
A question: after blue block the FORMAT procedure goes on FAILS??
Just to know.

Hi LongJohn,
Yes, after checking the image successfully and the screen display FORMAT DSK2, just run about 2 BLUE bar then stopped, and show FAIL.
Please help to check is there any software can refresh the ROM so that i do not need to send it back to Taiwan.
Yes.....just the same my problem! Only two blue bar and...FAIL....
Even I found a sw to refresh the rom...but nothing...now...

hello guys in the philippines. Where can i buy a replacement battery or even an original battery for my XDA II ? i tried all SM stores and found nothing. my XDA is useless now. battery life only good for 3 hours and it just drains like crazy. please help
don't loose hope yet!
check out JS Service center in Jollibee Plaza, Emerald Avenue, Ortigas Center, its on the 16th floor I think, been there last week. maybe they have one there. BTW, I'm using XDA Exec and they told me they don't support such model here in the Phil's so, if ever my unit's gone bad, its as good as trash for now until they'll finally offer service for such unit.
i see, thanks for that info. you've been there right? do you have any contact numbers of their office so that i can call first and ask if they have ready stocks available so that my trip wont be wasted if ever they dont carry o2 batteries. thanks
battery
hello.. i am also looking for xda2 batteries.. but I am not in a rush to buy so it's not my first priority.. i just post this message because it so happen that i have seen maybe a couple of store here in my place.. i live in Alabang Muntinlupa.. the first store which i hope is still there is the CDR-King i think on the 3rd floor of Alabang Town Center.. though i haven't ask if all CDR King stores were able to stock that thing. the second is from SM Southmall in Las Pinas city.. 3rd floor also... just can't remember the store name but i am sure it's still there.. anyway.. apology if i can't give their contact numbers.. hope it can help u..
BTW, just wanna ask if you know the answer to my BT problem, i can send files via BT but can't receive any though i have checked the "receive all incoming beams" box.. also i have already formatted my phone and tried again but still no luck.. it was OK before but now i don't know what happen... is upgrading ROM really solve this?.. i am using 2003 OS with 1.66 ROM... will u by any chance to send me your upgraded ROM file for me to upgrade mine?.. thanks and have a nice day
thanks for the info. i didnt know that CDR-king is selling replacement batteries, anyway, i'l check if i dropped by any branch.
about your problem, you can send but cant receive.. these sometimes happen but its not the problem of the XDA but the problem of the other side sending. cause it happend to me before, i turned on the bluetooth and the receive all incoming beams, but i cant received the pictures that my friend was sending me.. anyway his phone is a SE K800, i think he got the settings wrong in his phone, but later he changed it and i already can receive the pictures he was sending to me without me altering any settings with my XDAII. so i think it just a configuration problem, anyway im using WM2003SE from buzzdev and have no problems with BT. HTH
hi
thanks for that.. but sad to say... all phones i tried to use to send me files via BT are not successfully done. i have also tried to use another xda2 to send me files but still no luck.. if it is not too much, will u please send me the direct link of the ROM upgrade you had downloaded on buzzdev.. i have already browsed the site but still confuse what to donwload.. and also if i have upgraded my OS, will my installed programs and settings to my phone which has been backup before will still be OK if i have restore it after the upgrade? thanks and hope i didn't give you much burden.. thanks!
Though this looks like a dead thread let me just add that I wasn't aware CD-R King carries replacement batteries for the Xda. I've been buying mine at those cellular phone shops in Quiapo for several years now. Though no luck in finding a replacement for the internal battery Hope someone can direct me to one with fair pricing too.
Greetings... It's been only two days since I've bought my HTC Tornado (T-Mobile SDA). After unlocking it, I tried uploading different ROMs (i-mate SP5m, Cingular 2125, etc), just to find the one that suits me. Anyway, I found this T-Mobile SDA II ROM and without a second thought, I uploaded it to my phone. I didn't realize than this ROM was for the HTC Hurricane. After the "successful" upload, the phone went off! Now it does not boot at all, the battery does not seem to charge, I'm not even able to launch the three-colour bootloader screen (camera button + usb plug).
Can I upload a new ROM? Is there a way to recover my phone?
If the flashing stated it was successful then it should be. Try other fully charged battery.
Thank you for your quick answer. The battery was fully charged when I flashed the phone. Unfortunately, I found out that the "bad" ROM that I uploaded was for the HTC Hurricane phone!!! Is there anything I can do right now? Is it recoverable?
you *might* be able to recover with a SD card image, not sure
just connect your phone to the computer, turn it on, and immediately run a PROPER rom update for it, you might be able to get it back.
i did the same with a tornado rom on a SP3i (typhoon) and managed to get it back after a few tries
good luck
The problem is that I cannot turn my phone on. The phone seems completly dead. Just like having no battery installed (which btw is fully charged). I can't get to the bootloader (RGB) screen. Is it possible to use a SD card image? If I won't be able to update the rom, do you know if the HTC support can do it or should I throw my phone away?
dead is dead!
if the phone is under warranty , it should be no problem to get new one!
I didn't know that Hurricane can stop a Tornado ..well maybe it was just the end, and yes, if it still has warranty, use it.
Please observe Silence for 2 mins.

this is exactly why i get the jitters everytime i flash my phone... i'd rather do a hard reset. i'll only flash ONLY if it comes to it, when it comes to it; and if there's a new rom worth it (like the wm6 rom the geniuses are making here... can't wait 'til the 'alpha' comes out ^_^)

don't take it as a joke, and if i send to HTC?
Who's joking?
If that is the case, you might need to change the corrupted ROM chip, and usually they will change the whole mainboard, which is very expensive, not worth to repair
They asked about 600€ for the repaid, so I bought a new one (380€) and sold the broken one for spare parts.
600 EUROS for repair ? In my country, that is 4200 bucks, enough to buy a brand new O2 XDA FLAME.
A new one for 380 EURO ? You can get HTC Hermes with that amount in my country,
The repair cost in my country will definitely be lower than 100€, why not send it to me via courier, and see how much would HTC repair it here
yeah, sell it for parts and save up for the htc advantage ^_^

I have spv, but processor is OMAP710. Is for somebody spv (Canary or Tanager) his phone with OMAP5910 processor???
I read here: http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/HTC_Tanager
OMAP5910 datasheet: http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/omap5910.pdf
Tornado have a 10 pin jtag connector!!!
You can find it possibly the jtag points with this software, http://www.c3a.de/wiki/index.php/JTAG_Finder
and with this hardware: http://www.xilinx.com/support/programr/jtag_cable.pdf
You must find TRST, TDI, TCK, and TRST must pull up VDD with ~200R resistor.
Good luck!
Great info, Dibi. Thanks!!! Although I have sold my "brick" for parts, many unlucky guys will find this information useful to revive their phones.
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and i hope somebody will be able to help me.
I have an ACER N3, old model i know, but a great work horse. I use it for my courier business as it provides all my delivery notes etc with this great software.
HOWEVER, for some reason and i honestly cannot fathom it, my ACER has completley lost everything, so much so that Windows mobile 5 start even come up any more. The only thing i see now is the white screen with the blue pda picture.
I have hard reset it several time each time with no success and getting no further than the white screen.
I hope (without causing offence) this has happend to someone before who can give me an answer of how to reinstall Windows Mobile 5 (the rest of the stuff i lost i can retrieve)
I have searched through everything i received when i bought it and there is no cd or anything. Apparently i only need the rom image of WM5 and it should work again or if ian get some kind of windows mobile 5 updater, maybe this will work?
I hope someone can help.
Thanks in adavance
Chris
i would connect it to usb and run the firmware install i'm sure acer got on their support page
Thanks for your quick respnse. However i have looked all over the acer website and the only thing they have on their support site is a USB driver update.
I hope there is a way of resolving this cause i could really do with not having to buy a new new PDA.
Thanks again for your help.
acer removed it from their ftp.... i was also searchin for it to reflash my rom...
finally was able to find it.. thanks to google....
Hey,
I am back again with a new problem, I really dont know whether it is a HARDWARE or a SOFTWARE problem.
I recently went to a Samsungs service center, just to repair my Micro SD card jack, but in addition to it they broke the sim jack and when they replace it, the Tab is not detecting the SIM card. SO They ask me to wait till tomorrow, and to what they repaired everything. BUT now a new problem arise that my phone stops or looses SIGNALS, when I connect it to the Wall charger, Adapter or connect it to PC to charge. And when I disconnect it, it show full signal without any worry.
I literally had a fight at the center, but they are blaming me for everything, but in fact Its not my fault.
Please guys suggest me, what should I do? If its a software problem, I can go and flash it via ODIN.
Otherwise will try to repair it on the center, if they deny, have the to complain I havs to complain about it to samaungs itself.
Please help me guys.:crying:
DEVICE- samsung tab 2 p3100 16GB
Indian version, stock rom and rooted.
Ps- I am typing this with the tab without any problem while not on charge.

Well, you can try a factory reset. If it's software problem, you will get it fixed right away.
Otherwise, you should head to the service center. But you got a 'lil problem here: your device is rooted, and that causes loss of warranty. I bet they will charge you for the service, it that's the case.

Its already out of warranty, so no problem at all.
Factory reset doesnt help, that means a hardware problem.
And above all service center is fully responsible for this, I am going to have a fight with them if they deny to repair it without any charge.

My trust is now gone from service centers. :silly: @fr4n dude they wont just refuse they charge me the money, for the the fault in PCB, actually done by them.
@CSP III yeah, what you said about the center guys is really true, if you are out of warranty you are the only reason behind the condition of ur tablet or phone, they dont give fkin' to to it.
More over, I was checking what actually is happening when I connect the charger, it say "unknown baseband" in the settings and shows no IMEI when I dial *#06#, But after sometime I again starts receiving signals.everything is back in action. Looks likes my tab had been bitten by a mad dog, and is now suffering tab rabies
Any solution or anything you guys prefer me ro do with this?.

Flashing with odin wont helped me. anyways thanks for the idea.
Now the condition is even worst, after loosing signals, I need to turn it off and slap it over the sim slot area & then restart, to get my signals back. one more thing, i dont know the date, but when i put it on charge, i wont loose signals for whole night. BUT ONLY ONCE
Just De-assembled everything, and hoping for a magic that when i assemble it, that problem will be over.

Hello,
I have the same problem, my wiko kite does not start anymore it shows me "No Software"
Who could give us the procedure to reinject a stock rom for this phone please!
I contacted the after-sales service but we must first send them the telephone at our expense so that he can give us an estimate and return the phone, always at our expense.
So I think it's more interesting to do it ourselves considering the price of the phone. And since he was still working very well for my little boy I would like to do everything to make it work again.
Thank you so much for your help.

Maybe is too late...
I'm searching me too for a friend and i find this in web...
Wiko Kite is a Broadcom M320 chipset.
https:// support.wikomobile.com/soft/index_gallery.php?op=kjdhhg515d12365s1
On top of web are "Flasher" folder with a Broadcom flasher and then a long list of Wiko mobiles you can find Kite.
Never tested (for the moment). I'm not saying it's secure or whithout any danger and i'm not saying i know how to do it.
Hope that helps.
I find in DuckDuckGo searching "Broadcom Mt Wiko Kite"
