battery for XDA2 in philippines where to buy? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Accessories

hello guys in the philippines. Where can i buy a replacement battery or even an original battery for my XDA II ? i tried all SM stores and found nothing. my XDA is useless now. battery life only good for 3 hours and it just drains like crazy. please help

check out JS Service center in Jollibee Plaza, Emerald Avenue, Ortigas Center, its on the 16th floor I think, been there last week. maybe they have one there. BTW, I'm using XDA Exec and they told me they don't support such model here in the Phil's so, if ever my unit's gone bad, its as good as trash for now until they'll finally offer service for such unit.

i see, thanks for that info. you've been there right? do you have any contact numbers of their office so that i can call first and ask if they have ready stocks available so that my trip wont be wasted if ever they dont carry o2 batteries. thanks

hello.. i am also looking for xda2 batteries.. but I am not in a rush to buy so it's not my first priority.. i just post this message because it so happen that i have seen maybe a couple of store here in my place.. i live in Alabang Muntinlupa.. the first store which i hope is still there is the CDR-King i think on the 3rd floor of Alabang Town Center.. though i haven't ask if all CDR King stores were able to stock that thing. the second is from SM Southmall in Las Pinas city.. 3rd floor also... just can't remember the store name but i am sure it's still there.. anyway.. apology if i can't give their contact numbers.. hope it can help u..
BTW, just wanna ask if you know the answer to my BT problem, i can send files via BT but can't receive any though i have checked the "receive all incoming beams" box.. also i have already formatted my phone and tried again but still no luck.. it was OK before but now i don't know what happen... is upgrading ROM really solve this?.. i am using 2003 OS with 1.66 ROM... will u by any chance to send me your upgraded ROM file for me to upgrade mine?.. thanks and have a nice day

about your problem, you can send but cant receive.. these sometimes happen but its not the problem of the XDA but the problem of the other side sending. cause it happend to me before, i turned on the bluetooth and the receive all incoming beams, but i cant received the pictures that my friend was sending me.. anyway his phone is a SE K800, i think he got the settings wrong in his phone, but later he changed it and i already can receive the pictures he was sending to me without me altering any settings with my XDAII. so i think it just a configuration problem, anyway im using WM2003SE from buzzdev and have no problems with BT. thanks for that.. but sad to say... all phones i tried to use to send me files via BT are not successfully done. i have also tried to use another xda2 to send me files but still no luck.. if it is not too much, will u please send me the direct link of the ROM upgrade you had downloaded on buzzdev.. i have already browsed the site but still confuse what to donwload.. and also if i have upgraded my OS, will my installed programs and settings to my phone which has been backup before will still be OK if i have restore it after the upgrade? thanks and hope i didn't give you much burden.. thanks!

Though this looks like a dead thread let me just add that I wasn't aware CD-R King carries replacement batteries for the Xda. I've been buying mine at those cellular phone shops in Quiapo for several years now. Though no luck in finding a replacement for the internal battery Hope someone can direct me to one with fair pricing too.

This is my first time on here i've just got the CECT W800 as a christmas present and so far very happy with it. The onboard tomtom GPS works very well and it came with complete car kit and two batteries all for £138 inc postage from China. I've recently found out its a clone of the MDA Compact III, does anyone know of any other issues with this phone?
It came sim unlocked for any network and i put my virgin sim card in and it found all the correct setting for GPRS and MMS automatically.
Can anyone tell me if any of the iphone lookalike programs and skins would work with this phone pls?

those programs and skins are generaly made for windows mobile and will generaly run on all devices which run windows mobile
Does the w800 have EDGE or just GPRS data? I'm looking in to getting one shortly and I won't even bother if it only has a GPRS radio.
How's the build quality and camera? Decent?

what a shame... i could get past the bugs since SOMEONE's firmware ought to load on it but if the data is GPRS only, forget about it... too bad about it, the only other phone that I've seen that has built in GPS and doesn't cost an arm and a leg is the Pharos PTL600 for USD $469 with a $50 rebate. That's an ETEN rebrand, I believe.
the CECT w800 sounds (in theory) like a great device, is there a support website for it or does it just come out of a warehouse in Taiwan and that's it? I know CECT makes that knockoff iPhone that everyone has up on Ebay so they should be a fairly major company with at least a website.
I found cectelecom.com and qxmc.com as the Chinese and English webpages for CECT. Oddly enough, they don't list either this knockoff or the iPhone knockoff they sell. I'm going to shoot them an email and ask about the W800.

Mine works without the external airel but it may take a bit longer to find a signal without it than it does with it, usually a couple of minutes. Where do you live? I'm in the UK and got the phone for xmas and very happy with it, if you need to know anything else about this phone let me know aand i'll try help.
I have this w800 and never used it. It came with its core language in Italian, a language I neither read or understand.
Is there anyone out there with an English rom for this damned thing.

Where did you get it from? I got mine from china via ebay and came in English, tomtom satnav was in chinese but changed it in the tomtom settings. I don't how you can get the rest of it in English maybe someone on here can help. I'll look through mine see if theres any language settings on it. Did you get a user manual with it? I got English version on CD rom i could send you file if you want, let me know.

Yes, got it through Ebay from some little chinese fella who has no idea about sending a phone with the right language for the country its being used in, its driving me crazy this damned thing.
I did get the manual, yes. That at least is in english, its the phone thats in italian.

My O3D got stuck in the FW update screen on 18/07/2011 I was on holiday in Greece the next day I called LG support as I had registered my phone as VIP 24h support. This means that I would get a replacement unit within 24 hours of calling! The guy could not find my IMEI or phone number in their system, so he told me he added it again and that when I got back 26/07/2011 I should call them again and the phone would be in my hands the next day. On 26/07 I called them again and they could not find my phone in their system so they added it again and told me that someone would call me to arrange a pick up/replacement of the phone. Nobody called me back so next day 27/07 I called them again they transfer me around to Holland and back to Belgium but nobody could tell me what was wrong or that I was even in the system but they would call me again to arrange a pick up/replacement. No one called me on 28/07 so I called the pro assist support (I got that number the day before, they handle the pick up/replacement for Belgium and Holland) they could see that the phone was in the system from 26/07 but they told me that LG did not send them a message that they could replace the phone, they told me we will call you today to say what happened, at 5u30pm they called me and told me that they could pick up the phone on Monday 01/08, I was not very happy and told them is this 24h support, after that they told me we can pick it up tomorrow 29/07 before midday, 1u30pm I called them again telling them that no one came by to pick it up... They told me that LG did not send a phone yet so they can't replace it! I called LG again and checked again whats wrong he told me that there was an error in their system and that's why I didn't receive it yet, so he updated the system and told me someone will call me today or on Monday (1 Aug)!
Did anyone had this problem with LG 24h VIP support?
I try to develop 3D stuff for this phone, but this is really pissing me off, they should not advertise with 24h support if they can't deliver!

Received my phone 2 August without the cover and battery.
Phone complete again 3 August and I updated it to V10D and it works fine!
24hr service in NL was really great, phone had battery drain issues, within 24hrs I got a new phone + battery. So 24Hr service was really great
Yes it seems to be based in NL but I am in BE and NL needs to send to BE first and then to customer but they ****ed up big, I filed a complaint lets see how it works out...

Application/games development and ROM/Firmware development are two completely different subjects.
And besides, if I could get a replacement phone within 24 hours I'd take that over messing with the phone myself anytime, especially if it's a paid service. I guess Murphy took over somewhere for the topicstarter.

yea i know that he's not a rom developer... but he's a programmer so it would be easy for him to flash.
and flashing isn't "messing" with your phone. it's a easy and secure way to install a rom.
htc elfin->xperia x1 ->motorola milestone ->galaxy s ->galaxy s2 and now o3d
that have been my phones for the last years, i flashed each of them very often and still do (the x1 for e.g. ) but i've never broke one of them through flashing.
why? because you have to do really stupid things to make such a bad flash...
If it's stuck in Firmware update screen then it's impossible to revive for now...
I did reflash it before any of the threads came available with kdz upd fw and upTestEx but you cant resolve the problem like that, this is my 4th android phone and all of them had custom roms.
Mine is just a retail phone and I just started developing games.
I did not fight with support they did not do their job, if you register a phone for 24h exchange and the next day you dont hear anything and call them and they say it is not registered and this happened 4 times. I think most people would get a bit angry
And yes Murphy probably had something to do with it, anyway we will see what happens on Monday
I finally received my replacement!! But they delivered it without battery and back cover and took my phone with battery and back cover... They will come again later to bring those.. Anyway it works! (used my o2x battery) and it updated to V10D!

They fixed their system now they told me so a replacement within 2days should not be a problem, just be sure to check that you get a complete phone

Replacement

Hi, so I have been using my MT since September. It is my first MT and happy with it. Currently running TG CM7 on it. However the phone started to freeze once in a while for like half a minute. Soft keys are not responding unless I turn off and back on the screen. These also happen when I was still using the stock rom. Also there are dust under the screen, and I heard that the only thing I can do is ask for a replacement.
I would like to ask y'all how to have a replacement of the MT? Should I call VM or is there any online help on their website (Because my English isn't that good)? Would they still let me have a replacement since I have it for about 10 months? Also I knew I should flash back to stock rom, but do I have to remove CWM as well? If so how do I do that?

The soft key non responsiveness is a hardware problem on all triumphs. I've heard alot of ppl say that happens to them. Mine does it too but not too often, and I also have a lil bit of dust under my screen but I can only see it when its extremely bright outside.
If those two things really bug you, I wouldn't get another phone because they might be present with then new (refurbished) phone you get from them.
If you want a replacement, I have found that the best way to get in touch with them is through the VM social care dept. Don't call and talk to tech support. It can get really annoying. Instead send an email to [email protected], leave a comment on Virgin Mobile USA's Facebook page, or tweet @VMUCARE on Twitter.
When I had to have a few things fixed on my account, these guys helped me out right away!
As far as getting a replacement, I'm pretty sure you can up to a year from the purchase date. And I've heard of ppl sending their phones back to them with CM7 still installed, but I would re-install the stock rom just to be safe.

Thank you for the tips! May I also ask, when I bought my MT in BestBuy, I had also bought the 1 or 2 years warranty thing. Does that do anything with replacing the phone? Or could I just take it to BestBuy to ask for replacement?

I believe since you bought the warranty through Best Buy you can just go back there and have them replace the phone for you. Just mention the hardware problems to them and I don't see why they wouldn't. From what I have heard, a lot of Best Buy associates are familiar with the Triumph's problems and that it has been returned a lot and automatically know why your there haha. Weather they will give you a brand new one, or have VM send you a refurb... I'm not exactly sure.

Querry regarding warranty.Parts not available.

Hey guys i was facing touch problem on my phone. The problem started nearly 4 months ago, but at that time it wasnt that much of a problem!
I had to sometimes swipe 3-4 times in various launchers to scroll pages/had problem in typing too(tried various keyboard but the problem was still there). And then my phone used to get very hot even in normal use along with poor network reception! (The phone restarted once because of the heating problem i guess while i was watching videos at 50% brightness)
I gave the phone to the svc, they kept me waiting for almost two weeks, and then when i called them they informed me that since parts arent available with the co. they mostly will replace the cell!
Later i went on to give all accessories, i asked that if parts(lcd and motherboard) would be available in future, would they just repair the cell and give it to me? to which they replied that the product is discontinued and there's no stock of parts available for this phone!
Now my questions are:-
1. Will they give me another model since i dont want a phone whose spares arent even available with the co.
2. Whats the warranty duration on the replaced cell (same model/other model)
3. Some ppl on fb said they got refund for their phones! When i asked about refund they simply refused it. and later said i wont be getting another model either! I called the call centre, got my case registered, now waiting for their reply.Anyways i dont think they will provide a refund/other model.
So is there anything i can do? I still have a month and half warranty period left. Its been nearly 20 days and now i am really tired of waiting!
Who shall i contact to for getting help regarding this problem!
And lastly sorry for the long post, its just that its really frustrating for me to wait this long and stay without a proper cell!

Hi! Whew just finished reading your post.. i think you should get some serious talk with the manager in the svc you sent your phone. Have you tried e-mailing them with your complaint? Don't go too soft on them! You're the customer and you have every right to get the right information from them. I don't exactly know the answer to all your questions cause I don't work for Samsung but you should talk to them about it ASAP. Complaaaain

Finally after some trying they decided to give me full refund!
TBH do not bother to call at the toll free number, they usually have no idea abt what to say.Enjoyed using this phone, now will be buying galaxy nexus/atrix 2/sensation xe. Any other suggestions are welcomed. Btw price range is around 18-21k, will be buying without bill(grey market).
And yeah also liked infuse 4g/arc s! So really confused there!

Guys, I need help with OPO

Hello, my mom really wanted a new phone fast because right now she uses an old samsung and it's has some problems but for her phone is in need because of work... So in eBay we found an awesome deal! OnePlus One auction, and we won that phone only for 37 pounds. Phone has to come tomorrow, but I was scrolling through eBay and I wanted to read some feedbacks on seller again so I went to OPO information and then I readed that phone doesn't pick up any network. So, I know that mother will kill me because network will not work. So I wanted to ask, is there any way fix that fast without any parts changing? Just change something in settings and it will work?

If it was that easy to fix then it would have been sold for far more than £37. Basically, no chance of fixing it in settings I'd guess, but you could try flashing a factory ROM image and praying lots.
Not sure until you actually get the phone and see what's wrong with it.
Soo, phone came and any sims doesn't work on him. So we took it to the repair, they told that they will see if they can fix it. So we waited until next day, they told that they will try to fix it until today. We came to the repair and they told that they changed the sim tray and problem still exist and they said to us to wait until tomorrow if phone gets any better they will call us. But my mom wanted to know, can be that problem can't be fixed at all?

For the price you've paid inc the repair you could have got a Nexus 5 in good condition on Ebay.

I think so that it shows IMEI, I can't check right now because phone is teardowned and I saw that antenna was corrupted so we gonna changed it on Thursday and what about nexus 5, we could get it but only 16gb but my moms needs more memory so .
And more about IMEI, last time when I checked IMEI was in place but I don't know what about last time when I restored the phone after flashing ROMs .
If you have TWRP installed try backing up the EFS partition. That's where the IMEI is stored.
There's no more problems after antenna change, thanks everyone who tried to help!
