Tasklist??? shutxp etc... - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

OK this is driving me mad. The other day I noticed that shutxp, lockdevice & ciclebt aren't available as icons in the bottom right of the screen.
I am running faria crossbow on Cingular 8125 G4 CID locked.
the only mention of these particular items are in hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\today\items\batterystatus. in this reg directory there is a key title traylist and it looks as if it could be corrupt but not 100% sure as I don't know what it should actually be. In between each item is seperated by a box, as if it is an unknown character.
What I have done:
Flashed the original OS back.
Flashed Faria crossbow back.
Problem still persists. I thought for sure that would get it back but it hasn't.
It is also worth mentioning that I have been running faria crossbow fine for about 3 months. BTW, thanks FARIA.
Could someone post what the contents of the aforementioned key should be or tell me how to get these items back.
OH yeah. The screen orientation, comm manager and battery status icons are there but not the others.
Thanks In advance
Here is the contents of traylist key
0#20#11#30#40#50\windows\CicleBT.exe1windows\psshutxp.exe1windows\memory.exe1windows\lockdevice.exe
except there are boxes surrounding each number

I have also noticed that after a reset the icons are there but after it goes through the customization wizard they are not.

Goodlink Vox

I've just received a new Vox and am trying out Goodlink on it. It doesn't seem to suit the phone very well!
I've been using a Hermes and really like the Vox's form factor when compared to it. However, I was thinking that the screens would be similar as they both have the same resolution (240x320), but the fonts are much larger on the Vox and much less info is displayed.
So Goodlink displays fewer lines than on the Hermes' display and there's some weird corruption at the bottom of every screen. Also, in some of the preferences screens, I can't work out how to save anything as the OK button is obscured by the battery and signal strength indicators.
Lastly there are no shortcuts to the Goodlink applications on the home screen or in the Programs folder. The only way to start it is via File Explorer.
Anyone had more luck than me?
Ok I realised what I had done....I restored my Goodlink install from my Hermes, so had the wrong version installed! Oops
Anyway, it all seems to work well now

Text too big/hidden issue, regardless of size

Hi guys I hope someone can help. I'm using nncuong UNI 2.11.11 5.2.1933 (Build 18533.0.7.1) with 1.18 radio and a blank ext and fresh out of the box it was great aside from one problem.
Both in IE and in the pda (settings page, in the backlight setting dialogue etc) some text is 'hidden' like I need to scroll down, but I can't. I went and made the font size smaller in settings (and in IE) but it doesn't help. It's as though sometimes stuff doesn't quite 'fit' and I can't read the last bit of info in a dialogue box etc.
I can't see anywhere to switch resolution, I saw something that indicated it was at 640 but I can't remember where. Also sometimes I want to scroll to the right in IE as I can't see the right side of the page, but there is no scroll bar. Only sometimes.
Last issue is that the battery monitor icon was there when I booted up but it's vanished and I don't know how to get it back.
Can anyone help? Other than this I think it's okay.
Greg.

Dutty's ROM enquiry

Just flashed to v3 and a couple of questions.
Firstly how do you set the HTC Home clock to 24hr, there doesn't appear to be a setting in regional settings for this.
Secondly ist here a way to bring up the program close icon at the top of the screen, I think it used to be an "x"
Thanks in advance
the 'x' was wktask if memory serves me correctly.
u will need to d/l the cab.
there is no option for me to set my alarm to go off in the evening. is only available in the morning
wktask isn't the answer. I'm talking about the icon which came with the original rom and sat in the top right corner, 3 horizontal bars with a triange at the bottom. Gave you the option to close a program by holding x on the program name. The Dutty Rom I'm using doesn't have one.

Im not real sure of the name, but i remember the one you refer to. I wasn't the duttythroy task manager was it?
The duttythroy task manager puts an icon at the bottom, but you have to run it to start. In the original rom the icon at the top started as default. I'm wondering if updating to the latest version of HTC Home will sort this out.
24hrs
You can get 24hr time by setting the Time Style in Regional Settings to
HH:mm:ss
The program the original poster is looking for is HTC Task Manager.
No offence guys but based on some of th questions i see (like time and alarm setting), some of you should not be flashing roms just yet. Best to first know the basics (these types of things should be in your manual i think)
None taken but as I've just been informed the HH:mm:ss didn't appear in the drop down. It was only after forcing it that it appeared. The flash has been a success but some things are differnt from the original. That's what forums are for or last time I looked anyhow. Here's the answer off a more helpful member
"Now that you mention it, I think I remember my 'regional settings' being dorked up initially when I loaded one of Dutty's ROMs. Try fiddling with the setting on the first page which sets all the other settings. Save it, leave, come back in, and then go to the time tab and then click on Time Style. When the list of available selections pops up, keep pressing down (it only shows 2 available, but more are there, trust me). Eventually select the one that has HH:mm:ss. That is the 24 hour one that I've used."
So based on the fact it was HTC Task manager, is this something that doesn't exist with Dutty's Rom or something you can enable?
I am also looking for the location in the menus to bring up this HTC Task manager in dutty's ROMs. I remember finding the menu for it in V3 but I can't seem to find it in V4.
This worked for me.... soft-reset and it should appear

A Couple problems afterflashing to wm6

I recently flashed my phone to a custom rom and CID unlocked it but now I have a few small problems. I used the touchflo version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367534&highlight=touchflo 1.I got notification error messages that say cannot execute clocknot.exe calnot.exe repllog.exe when I first started it up and they continue to pop up frequently.
2. The post says "- go to start/programs/Touch/TFSettings , then set the way you want to activate the cube " When I go to programs there is no Touch folder and TF settings. If I go to settings/system there is touchflo but the only option it has is enable sound when finger scrolling. Should there be something there in programs?
3. I downloaded the files for the cube but have no idea what to do. Im guessing editing the registy with the stuff that is in the xml file has something to do with it. Tried doing some searches and reading but no luck so far. Someone want to point me in the right direction?
4. Also in CommMgr whenever I try to take the X off the wifi it goes off for a second then goes back on but my wifi seems to work as I went on ebay so that is very minor.

I also had some problems with .exe files when I have flashed TNT roms. Now I'm running WM 6.1 Slim edition and no problems. I hope it helps.

Remove battery icon in notifications? I swear I'm not a noob!

I've searched and tried everything I could find and have done in the past, and I still can't get the battery icon to go away when on the home screen. I edited the registry so that the time and date are shown in the notification area always, but on the home screen that green battery icon overlays them and just makes a mess. Is the raphael different than every other HTC device I've had so far in this regard? In case it matters I have a fuze and am running NATF's latest ROM (2.2 I think).
Maybe you should post this in the official NATF V 2.2 Thread. he should be able to help you.
I really don't think this is a ROM specific problem, but if nobody has input, I'll ask the chef...
Solved.
I installed Advanced Config and used it to change the notification from battery to time. I don't know which registry key was responsible, but it's all good now. None of the manual registry key edits I used on previous devices worked but apparently advanced config knows which one to change! It wasn't a ROM issue.
Just for info refering to above post
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:0
0= Battery; 1=Clock
(U can always see the reg hack in the adv cfg *.xml file)
ah hah! I was focusing on "TBOpt=3" to try to show both date and time and ignoring the "ShowTitleBarClock" part! Thanks!
