Hi everyone,
i have a
Prophet G3
IPL 2.09
SPL 2.15.0000
GSM 2.30.21
OS 3.0.0.0
device which i've just updated to the "AKU3.3.12.ASERG-us" rom. This worked perfectly fine. I would however also like to upgrade my radio rom.
So i got myself "Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.61.21.exe" and tried to upgrade. Everything looks fine (verifies my phone, then says i've got image version 1.2.0.0 and i can click update and it claims that i will now update from 1.2.0.0 to 2.61.21), but once the RUU starts the update, my Prophet reboots, then displays the Three-Color-Bootloader screen and thats it.
The progress bar on the PC stays at 0% for half a minute, then the updater complains that it has encountered a communications error. My Prophet is not bricked or anything, but it's just not upgrading!
(After pressing reset it boots as usual).
I also tried flashing the latest XDA Neo rom from O2 Germany, and i've got the same three-color-bootloader and it's not flashing.
Can someone please tell me where my mistake is or what i could try?
This problem has been mentioned before, try the search function!
I have searched my ass of for more than an hour for a solution to this problem and didn't find it.
And all you tell me is search. Thank you VERY much. You've been of great help.
EDIT: I've now spent another 25 minutes searching and found ABSOLUTELY nothing that worked or that explained why i have this problem.
Update: I've "solved" it by trying to flash on my Laptop. I have no clue why it worked on the Laptop and not on my PC, but it did.
On my PC only a "USB Device" was found in the bootloader mode and no drivers were available for it. On the Laptop, it was recognized and flashing worked fine.
No idea why. Perhaps the Activesync version (4.5) on my PC was too new ?

Ok I am at the end of my wits here.
I tried to do an Upgrade of my Imate Jam to the latest Rom on the Clubimate site
But it got stuck on the checking site. So after a bit of research I found that if I unplugged and reset it, it should take the upgrade and it looked like it would Except
On the CE update it gets Stuck at 7% and gives me an ERROR 112 CE Update Failed.
I have tried many times to get it too work rebooting each time.
I have tried on 3 different Machines in case it was the USB Hub Problem.
I even tried the S100 rom with the Country code hack and it even got stuck on 7% same error.
Please Help

Could be the rom you downloaded not complete or there is file error. Try download the file again and extract to a new folder.
Check on this page. Use the no ID file to start the flash.

Goodluck.
Thanks for the reply OCMAX but no go
Tried downloading the File again From Clubimate and XDA-Devs FTP no go
Tried with the No ID updater as well but it is still getting stuck at 7%.
The weird thing is it always gets stuck at 7% even if it is another Rom Image.
The only thing I have not tried is the Original Rom image that came with the
Imate Jam because I can’t find it. Anybody have it?
Any other subjections. Im now at 27hours without my PDA not that I’m

Did you do hard reset the first time you face the 7% error and you are now in the USB v1.0 bootloader mode now?
I had the same problem with a friend's QTEK S100 it was stoping with an upgrade error at the very beggining of the extended ROM flashing no matter which ROM you were flashing to it! At the end they exchanged it for a new one, probably the ROM chip was faulty!
MDA Compact does not open HELP!!
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this board and I read nearly all threads about MDA. I bought my T Mobile MDA Compact 2 weeks ago from Germany. Yesterday while I was trying to change its language to English its locked. I installed Windows 2003 SE then device restarted but not open anymore. Now I can not open it. When I try to open it on the top of the screen it writes "Seial" and at tthe bottom it writes "1.00 Version". What should I do? I need immediate assistant; can anybody help me to make my MDA Compact working again?
Thanks
AE
Hi all
First of all sorry for my grammer, english in not my native language.
I've tried to update my O2 XDA Neo with SMART1 WM6 Rom, i've download the file and started the "UPGRADE_ROM.bat" after installation finished i notice an error click then hardreset the phone, for a second on the display apear the HTC logo, after that the QTec blue screen with the IPL 2.15.0001; SPL 2.20.0001; GSM 02.20.21; OS 10.1.0.811 and then nothing happens. I hardreset the phone several times but so far no good. I come up with idea to go to bootload (holding camera button and pressing reset) and try to reflash it but the update_rom.bat says "No Device Connected" from there i have no idea what to do. I'm with MS ActiveSync 4.5 please help me.
the same problem with me i tried several methods to fix this problem but unfortunetely couldn't find any solution to fix it finally took my phone to the technical service. If you have quarantie I recommend you to the same thing. But never say them that I tried to flash a new rom because this breaks the quarantie.Just say my phone doesn't start.Don't worry they can't understand that you 've tried to flash your O2
Ok, things you should *do* before upgrading to WM6
Make sure that you have AKU2.2 (for instance RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe) installed _BEFORE_ upgrading to either AKU 3.3 (aserg for example) or WM6. This is in any case true for G4, most probably this goes for G3 as well, but I cannot say this for sure, since I do not own one.
If you happen to get stuck at boot screen because update process failed, grab the rom above and run it with USB plugged in, this will 9/10 of all cases fix your device.
No, I do not have a link to this rom, try to look for it yourself.
For the rest, happy upgrading
rom flash
make sure you disable your antivirus softwear and your windows firewall don,t use any extended usb hubs and you have cid unlocked it make sure let it do a full flash dont do enything else with your pc when you flash your phone good luck i hope this was usefull
Guys,
I wonder if you can help. I have trawled this and many other forums and found many people that are having problems with their HTC Prophet or variations of the same device.
I have the Orange SPV M600, it was in my pocket and when I took it out to turn it on, it was displaying the bootloader screen after seemingly soft resetting itself. It is displaying the tri-colour bootloader with the following IPL/SPL
- IPL 2.10.0001 - SPL 2.10.0001
I have tried the following things that I have found in the forums:
1. Taking the battery out for 10 minutes ~ Still the same.
2. Hard Reset ~ I get the "Press SEND button to factory restore" message
but nothing happens when I push the call button.
3. Reflashing the ROM ~ I am unable to do this. I only have Vista and
WMDC does not see the phone in bootloader mode.
Is the phone dead? If so how could this have happened?
If anyone could help I would be eternally greatful. Oh and to add another complication the phone is still CID Locked
Thanks in advance
Barry
well if you where is south africa i would of helped you im sure if you have it runing on xp it will work my jamin did the same and all i did was push the camera button and reseted it got into tri colour mode and reflashed it
sorry that i could not help you but like i said if you in SA we could of tried it on my mashine
Any progress ?
did you ever get this sorted out ? Surely all you're gonna need is a PC with XP and active sync....
If I was closer you could have sent the phone to me and I would have had a go at reflashing the rom, but I'm at the other end of the country....
Hello guy here is a solution to flash under vista i have too a orange m600 and it works fine
http://www.modaco.com/RUU-Vista-done-u-t252977.html
help stuck on the bootlader screen?
guyz i have a jamin.. my cousin was flashin it and flashed the wrong software.. if i reset the phone it shows the boat loader screen!! and i cnat do anythin..caz u tell me which slftware to flash..and how to do it?? My freind told me all solution to my problem's will be solved here
hopin i will get my solution
First of all, download the NVID (no vender) AKU2.2 from here. http://rapidshare.com/files/17208693/RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe
Then, open activesync, select connection settings and UNCHECK the connect through USB option.
Then run the NVID file. It will take a while, and may seem to get stuck at 80% or 95%. Just leave it alone.
When that's done, you can either use it as it is, or load anyother ROM you want.
i have a bit similar problem
can some one plese guide me how to flash it with xp?????
Regards
First get a version of ActiveSync, any will do, but more recent is probably better. Then download the ROM (see above). In ActiveSync>Connection Settings uncheck the Connect through USB option. Then connect the Prophet.
Next Unzip the NVID file, and run RUU_PROPHET... This will flash your Prophet with a very basic ROM. If you then want to upgrade to a different ROM follow these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310452
Hi,
I'm almost broken down :'(
since days I'm trying everything to update the rom of my smartphone with the following operation system "XP and Vista".
I've got a Xda Touch diamond, but Vista says I've got a Touch Diamond P3700. Now let me tell you the catch-22:
I'm connecting the phone via usb cable to the pc(any usb-hub on the back of the pc)
Vista and Xp says "connected". Now I'm running RomUpdateUtility.exe. In the same folder
is the new rom called "DIAMIMG.NBH"
Now I'M clicking "Next" and again "Next". Now he says"verifing the information on your PDA Phone.. Please wait..
After that he says Current Information about you PDA Phone: Image version: 1.93.407.1
So now I'm clicking "update" the new Image version is 1.00.000.0
(If I use another Update Utility he says to Image Version 2.03.207.2)
Clicking "Next" and then again "Next" My Phone turns black and then the phone displays the three-color mode
and below the "serial" change to "usb" and a few
seconds later the phone shows a bar of 0% and on WinXP the bar also shows 0%.
Suddenly the connection is off. And a few minutes later the update Utility(PC) says EROOR(262) UPDATE ERROR.
I even disbaled the standby and hibernation modes on the PC. And I even tried flashing from Internal Storage!
ABsolutly futile! The three-color mode displays DIAM300, SPL-1.30.OliNex, MicroP-Diam (Led) v11,
Psoc_Diam STAGE_PVT v=x32
Is may Phone locked for new roms?
Please HELP ME before I'm going sick ´:__(
Best regards
Colbad
Welcome to forums
Hope this link helps

Good luck,
nothing helps. I give it up!
I'll get me a new phone.
slow down lol,
dont rush out and get a new phone just yet.... all flashing problems are actually quite simple, you just need to be methodical and patient
Firstly, i always flash with XP, call me old fashioned but its what ive always done lol.
in the past when ive had 262 errors (whilst flashing my touch cruise RIP) the radio i had installed at the time prevented further flashes.
What you havent said is what your current rom is and what rom you are trying to flash.
Hi again
I bought me a new one!
my new htc touch diamond makes me also sick.
If I download from the HTC page the new software rom
there's no problem updating my Smartphone to 100%.
But if I try to use any foreign rom for updating he freezes by 0%.
What is that?
I can't use any foreign rom from other peoples,
I'm absolutly helpless to this issue.
Please help me anybody :=)
Best regards

Hi guys,
i already read other threads in this and other forums about the same problem, but i couldnt find what i'm looking for, so i hope you can help me.
I wanted to Install an old Stock ROM on my Polaris (Had pcarvalho's extreme rom before - so you see, i already did hard spl).
But everytime it got stuck on 31% with the error 262 - update error.
I already...
- did a soft-reset
- did a hard-reset (But it still goes back to bootloader -> four-colour-screen)
- rebootet my pc,
- reinstalled mobile device center (because i'm on Win 7),
- switched to an other PC with windows xp and active sync,
- reinstalled active sync on this pc,
- re-downloaded the package and tried another package.
But still the same Problem: Stuck in Bootloader, error on 31%
What could it be and can it be fixed? Please help me, i dont want to buy a new phone
thanks...
Sorry guys, after searching the whole night, i found another thread for mtty (i found a thread before with a process described that does not help).
finally this helped: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425922
BUT: My Problem is still there. If I try to reinstall the stock rom it gets stuck on 31%
Someone know why or what it is?

I think that error occurs because you have not unlocked the phone on when you flash ROM, right ...? about Windows what you use on computers is not a problem, like Windows XP or 7 all fine! >>>HR<<<
if you did update the radio (1.65.xx), you must first downgrade radio1.58.xx or older) and you'll go
