cut of charger 2 wires inside. the + one (white) to pin1 of battery and the other wire to lowest pin 5. of the high voltage ur device will enter bootloader and stay in it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
connect usb cable and it will recognized =))))))))))))))
u can flash now to your earlier rom. in my case wwe 2.20 qtek rom with success. NOW device booting up again showing 2.21.0001 IPL AND SPL
but its working =))))))))))))

maybe you can repair your bootloader now.
I have an idea of how you could do it with g3.
Is your cid locked?
Is your phone g3 or g4?

UPDATED NOW NEW TESTS DONE. IPL SPL = 2.21
if i use prophet roms now everything is slow on device not usuable. i have to use wizard roms LOL. only problem then no sound is working. but replacing dll from prophet gives u sound back again. ........ THIS IS ****ING BULL****. anyway its usuable again now. i flashed now the fucing pbootloader of wizard into my device..........................
Hardreset does not work anymore if holding camera and other button it goes again back to bootloader now i need to find out how u do a hard reset on wizard LOL.
anyway i need a IPL AND SPL From prophet ............... extracting ipl and spl from qtek prophet and traslating it making a new nbf results in a flash process but after i stays on old IPL SPL ....................... ill report soon more about this strage problem having a wizard bootloader on Prophet.

so if I'm doing thats right the whole thing is working, while you are connecting the wires get don't plug the wall chargare in so you don't have elictricity and cover up the rest of the pins im not sure if thats necessary but you don't wanna brick your phone even more the phone is turning of though as soon as you disconnect the wires... i'm having a prophet rom on it right now i'm trying a wizard rom now...
alright im running the wizard aku 3.2 rom now. its working very well except that i have to wires coming out of the back of my pda.

UPDATE: IM NOW ON 2.26 TMOBILE WIZARD NOW WITH IPL AND SPL 2.26 THIS IS WORKING ****ING GOOD AND TRUST ME ITS FASTER THAN MY PROPHET WAS EARLIER WITH PROPHET BOOTLOADER.
GET THE TMO 2.26 from FTP and flash it. it will update ur device (IPL + SPL )too 2.26 never mind of it
IPL DOWNGRADE is NO PROBLEM FOR ME u can extract rom hex edit the ipl part and version number i did that already my ipl now is again to low number (custom) 2.01 but spl i coudnt find out to edit. im working with winhex and primary memory editing since this is very dangerous i dont suggest to do it. only experienced users should do that

1. Take ur phone and put it on ur table =)
2. Turn it so u can see the camera
3. On the right u see 6 Pins.
4. The Pin 1 is nearest to Camera
5. Pin 5 would be far away from camera.
u got it now ?
it worked for me with the sixth pin to by the way but that might be why it doesn't work without the wires for me yet.
did you cover up the other pins alphazero?
you were able to flash a lower bootloader back onto the device right with some kind of hexedit application or something?
I think a lot of users would be glad if you could upload a rom that can downgrade the ipl and spl including me , as you said it requires a lot of skill to cook the right rom...

I could do compile a rom that downgrades ipl to whatever u want. the spl is coded and i need to find the place in a spl rom where version id is written.
i found out that the update rom process checks version id.
so theory is fooling of a lower rom a higher rom id. this means your downgrade rom will have a higher rom id.
im working on it right now. i have to do some test on university right now like many others please be patient.

uhm no the battery pins was because our device did only turn on if it was plugged into the charger, which meant you couldn't plug it into the usb at the same time to flash a new rom.
your problem is different and can't be solved with that solution... sorry sd goldcard i guess

Please remember that the prophet ROM is NOT compatible with the charmer !

My prophet is G4, so it can only cause more damage to your phone. but i will look for someone with a G3 prophet, to backup his rom with SD. if i will find, i will let you know.

I tried it but nothing happend.
Can it be that the card must be SD and model and manufacturer must be same or something wrong with the backup image.
I then tried making SPL image from shiped ROM by typhoneNBFtools.pl on the same card but the message was "Update Not Allowed"
Please help.

did u CID ulock your phone? you must do that before flashing with SD.
I used Lokiwiz to unlock it, but I dont know it worked or not.
After this wrong update (Prophet Custom Rom for G4) the SPL is now of G4.
I am now facing the same proble as Jester (G4 SPL on G3 DOC).
As G3 & G4 DOC structure is different so its not booting to OS and even not allowing any G3 SPL to load.
I even tried Wizard Roms, Prophet Recent Roms and even Jester's ROM but my IPL & SPL stayes same as.

I've investigated deeper, and if you have a G3 with an G4 SPL you are screwed, the only way to recover is to do a hardware level fix, that is to move the flash chip to a good G3 with the correct SPL still in memory and then flash it, then move the chip back into your phone.
in short:
NEVER, EVER MIX the IPL/SPL of ANY G3 or G4 device, you will brick your phone !

No you should not. Since their is no difference whatsovever during normal use. So why should you?
No need to update, there comes no known improvement with the higher IPL/SPL version. And with G4 devices you cannot downgrade anymore once you have the latest version on it. My advice do not update, but you are free to deceide. I will stick with my present version.

resolder the g3 chip, it costs about $70 to make and never ever touch your ipl/spl again.
I may have solution but I'm afraid to post it here, and one has the strength to test it.
it will writ the SPL using pdocwrit;, but I'm afraid cause when read the SPL it will have the same begining of the SPL in nk.nbf but after a while it will have diffreneces, but when I read the SPL using r2sd command it will have the smae SPL in nk.nbf
and I have harmless SPL solution it will have the same version 3.08 but it will be the same as 2.20 if anyone intrested in this please answer me

if done succefuly this new 3.09 has the same functions of 2.20 SPL
so if one has unlocked G3 with 3.08 and success to upgrade 3.09 (2.20) please try to unlock CID the device and to install the 2.20
and if it works with G4 device this 3.09 has the same funtions of 2.20 and the device will be again PM300
till working in pdocwrite I hope this will work for now

what is the diference between 2.20 and 3.08,i mean functions?
the functions in 2.20 is for prophet hardware and 3.08 are for charmer hardware and there is of course defference between them
3.09 is for prophet hardware the same as 2.20 and you can stay with it for your prophet

Well, my guess is that your phone is already unlocked if your SPL is 3.08.
Is is a G3 or G4 Wizard?
G3 But I Wont To Put Black Diamond On It
So just try to launch the setup for BD to know if it really isn't already unlocked (in case it is, the Rom will install, and if it isn't, then it just won't, so theres' no risk for your phone.

Just to forewarn you, do not install the downgrade ROM until you bring your IPL/SPL down from 3.08 to 2.xx. If you don't you may end up like a lot of other people on here where you can't upgrade the IPL after you get done unlocking your phone and go to install WM6. To get it down, just go to your service providers website and download their official version of their ROM and install it first and that should bring your IPL/SPL down to a 2.xx version, then flash the downgrade ROM.

I did find one workaround that appears to almost always work is to have a minisd with a dumped raw image of a previous rom with ipl/spl included (r2d all command)...this was able to downgrade a phone on 3.08 back to 2.24 even after having gone to wm6. (it downgraded it back to wm5 at the same time)...conventional flashes were failing due to the ipl/spl.

Yeah, downgrading your IPL/SPL is easy, it's when you go from a 3.xx IPL/SPL straight to a 1.xx IPL/SPL that can cause problems, like your IPL sticking at 1.01 afterwards and not wanting to upgrade back to a higher IPL.

In the future, don't send private messages to people who haven't contributed to this thread. If you can't figure out how to downgrade and/or unlock your phone after reading the many, many threads on how to do it, I suggest sticking with WM5.
Here, run this. It's an IPL/SPL version only. It won't affect anything you info or programs you have loaded on your phone right now, all it will do is lower you back down to an IPL/SPL of 2.26.

That's not normal, try running it again. I think I just put a file that will change it to 2.25 in another post that you started. If the 2.26 one doesn't work after running it again, try the 2.25 one and see if it works for you.
Just install a factory T-Mo or Cingular ROM
(Gotta locate 1 yourself)

I followed Dr. Puttingham's thread and Yippie's thread to a tee in addition to reading threads in this forum for a good number of hours each day for two weeks. Yesterday, I became brave enough to downgrade my 2.26 Ipl / 2.26 spl; GSM 2.25.11; OS 2.26.10.2 MDA with a goal to upgrade to a custom WM6 rom with touchflo.
* Started with flashing the button rom then cid unlock with lockwiz2b which looked successful no errors but got a 1.xx IPL / 2.26 SPL since I got a 2.26 SPL then
* flashed the wizard love rom then then cid unlock with lockwiz2b which looked successful also but got the same results - a1.xx IPL / 2.26 SPL again then
* flashed the 2.26 T-mobile rom from the Tmobile website then
* flashed NBD 8.3 only to go back to Tmobile's 2.26 rom - DISAPPOINTED after two hours...............
Any assistance would be appreciated without bricking my MDA. Also, I read the thread on how to install a 2.x rom in a cid locked G3, this method appears a little bid complicated and if I need to move forward with this method, would this method work for any WM6 rom with touchflo and if somebody could simplify the method in layman's terms for newbie's like me could understand, please advice.

After u do cid unluck and sim unluck and its reboots do a downgrade again to the button rom and ur ipl and spl will change.(u do not have to re-due the onlucking procedure again)
I tried again performing Dr. Puttingham's CID unlocking process in terms of flashing the button rom then the CID unlock process using Lokowiz2b but while I am at the DOS screen trying to CID unlock my MDA it the DOS screen showed unlocking phone........DO NOT DISCONNECT UNTIL THE PHONE REBBOTS.
This process went on for 5 then 10 then past 30 minutes until I gave up. To be on the safe side I turned off the LAPTOP by taking the battery then pulled the USB cable from the PC to the MDA.
What is the typical timeframe for the unit to CID unlock? Why is is it hanging? Am I missing or skipping the process? How can I complete the process?
Any help would ber greatly appreciated by newbies who read threads.

The problem is that you need to have an IPL/SPL of 1.xx before you try to unlock your phone. CID unlocking will not change your SPL which means that you had an IPL of 1.xx and an SPL of 2.26 before you even tried to unlock. You need to reflash the button ROM over and over until your IPL and SPL both show 1.xx and then run lokiwiz.
dont get your point, i have been using shelltool for ages without any problems and quite a lot custom roms. my SLP/IPL is 3.08.

if your device doesn't reboot almost at once after the unlock, it probably didn't work. That is what happened to me. Did you get four lines of File cannot be opened or a similar message? I got that from following the 17 steps carefully. What was wrong for me was unzipping to the root directory of C:/. When I redid it to the desktop and executed from there, no problemo.
Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I posted a longer thread, somewhere....

Ok i did a little booboo and yesterday was using equinoxe's softspl tool by mistake (didn't notice i had a g3), this causes you to actually end up with the exact same os you had before you flashed.
The best advice I can give: Open the Dr's guide and follow every step closely. (also just found this guide. Its a bit simpler http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305225)
Once you CID unlock you should be able to use the RUUs to flash.
Make sure everytime you do any of the steps that dr. putt gives to be comepletely synced to activesync.
Also dont forget to load enablerapi.cab on your wizard.
Also you must use the unlock function before the cid unlock function in lokiwiz.
OH also the unlock will work after your ipl drops to 1.xx After you do the unlocks reflash button to drop the spl to 1.xx Then just flash up to a higher IPL/SPL as the Dr states.

Umm I believe the IPL/SPL of 3.08 means your phone is unlocked... so you really shouldnt need to use shell tool. Some correct me if I'm wrong

Just cause you have 3.08 does not mean you are unlocked..you could have upgraded a 2.xx ipl/spl without having downgraded and unlocked first.

right, i installed the latest german t-mobile rom and my device is still locked. the point i made is why the hell does somebody want to downgrade? It doesnt matter if u use the shelltool.

Perhaps they want it actually cid unlocked for resale value...or perhaps they prefer the RUU method of installs vs having to use shelltool.
