Andrea thank you SOOOO much! Just a quick question. I updated yesterday (after 7 months) to the Qteks latest WWE rom - (2.20.7.34WWE) 7/10/06
Radio: 2.47.21
ext rom: 2.20.7.114.
So two questions:
a. Is the Greek version newer?
b. Can I have English system menus (I hate the Greek ones) but be able to write Greek on the Phonepad? (this is the only reason I want Greek - I understand that there is no Greek T9 anyway)

a. It's excactly the same version as the one you mentioned.
It just adds greek support
b. Yes, this is what I do

Try this
1) extract nk.nbf using typhoonnbfdecode or a similar one
2) flash 8002000-os.nb using awizard
You will still need to transfer ext.rom and radio rom manually.
If anyone knowledgeable is willing to create an executable for g4, go ahead because i don't have a g4 device.

me too and I have a G3 version

I installed the 2.2.0 english version and that saved the day.

I realy don't know.
I've flashed it thousands of times on g3 models. i've also flashed it many times on g4 models but with aWizard.
What I would do in your case, is to extract the nbf and flash it with aWizard.

The latest official ROM from Dopod is ver 2.15. You can download this from the official site www.dopodasia.com. You have to register before downloading it, so have your IMEI ready.
You may also opt for an unofficial or cooked ROM. Howver these are not official Dopod818 Pro ROMs. They are Wizard ROMS that are customised or cooked to work on the Prophet. Expect minor problems here and there, depending on the ROM you choose. Installation for these ROMS varies on the customised ROM that you select.
If you look hard enough on the internet you will also find a WM6 ROM running around for Prophet. This is based on a leaked beta WM6 (Crossbow) ROM for the Wizard. It is known to be quite buggy though.

it is good practice to google thru wiki & forum pages for basic Q&A, as
it also increases knowledge base.

There's no point backing up your current ROM because you would not be able to restore it after you put a different ROM. In theory you can, using Sprite backup, but it is NOT recommended.
Backup your contacts, etc by synching with your PC and if you don't like the new ROM just install the official ROM from Dopod again.

Just my two penny worth but it seem that prophet / s200 /m600 users seem to have more cry’s for help than any other thread and I guess that this is down to rom compatibility for g3 g4 status
so may be a note to its compatibility of the rom file could be added, just a suggestion

Thanks for this, I was looking for a post with all the ROM's together. Now to decide whether install WM6 now or wait for a new ROM!

A friend of mine swears by Nghianha's, but they've both got their problems!
I don't think anyone has solved the device id problem yet?

I have a question about ROM upgrading. I have a G4 Xda Neo with 2.15.4.47 GER ROM and IPL/SPL 2.15.001. I don't quite understand when I update (for example to LvsW AKU 2.3 or Smart1 WM6 New) my ROM is this going to change the IPL/SPL? And if it changes them, can I later downgrade to my 2.15.4.47 GER ROM?

PDAViet 2.11.14 Sound Files Request

Hi there. I am a big fan of Universal. I am using Athena now but I had a Uni before (T-Mobile MDA Pro) and had fallen in love with the sound and notifications when there were incoming SMS, email, missed call and reminder alert. I tested the version 2.11.15 which is well in the PDAViet style. I downloaded the version 2.11.15F but I did not test it yet.
To have a maximun of memory RAM (31Mo) and 22Mo of flash disk + 40Mo of Rom uses ROM 2.11.10 of nncuong( as you have),
I have it from his exit and it is very very well. It is necessary to have all the software since that there is nothing like program.

Thank you for your response. Yes, the N. N. Coung ROM is one of the sweetest one. With lots of storage space and memory.
The PDAViet ROM which I am using on my XdaExec is very sweet too. I am ready to upgrade this. I guess, I will download the 2.11.15F version and will give it a try sometime during this week.

I saw someone posted a thread in Taiwan/HK forum to show their CHT Localization after Cotulla released WWE_O1.
But after that nobody shares it and ask Cotulla to do that,I think.
So CHT is really not exists,I even can't find that thread now.

Use this instead of "update.exe".
Just simply copy "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" to the upgrade folder and run.
I think it can work.
