activate voice dial through non-BT earphone ? - General Topics

helle everyone, i'm new to here, i have a question regarding voice dial on my pocketpc phone.
there are tongs of voice dial applications, all of them activate voice dial by pressing a button on phone or through bluetooth earphone which is very in-conveniance for non-BT handset because you have to get out your phone from your bag or pocket and press a button to activate voice dial. is there any application can activate voice dial through wired earphone by holding and press talking button on the earphone? this is a very common function on Nokia's symbian smartphone.
sorry for my poor english.

nobody can help on this?

Pressing bluetooth answer button rejects calls!

Hi!
I have this problem; when I have an incoming call and I press the button of bluetooth hands free the call is rejected instead of being accepted!
Do you know how I can change this? Perhaps with a registry hack?
i bet you have a plantronics headset, i also have the same problem, though only with plantronics and not with other manufactured headsets. seems to be compatibility issue with wm6?
Hi,
No, I have a Philips HHB-600.
I have found a partial workaround for this that partially solves the problem.
By default, sound is redirected to the device when you press the device button to accept the call and to headset if you press the headset button to accept the call.
Set (or add if completely missing) the ConnectScoInAlways=1
under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway. This will cause the device to redirect voice always to the headset. Still accepting the call from the headset will not work but a least you will be able to use your headset to speak/listen and end to the call.

HangUp with Handsfree.

Is there a way to hang up a phone call from the handsfree button? Its a bit annoying having to pick up the phone from the pocket everytime you want to hangup. There should be some way to hang up from the handsfree instead of "switching calls"
What handsfree are you referring to? The headset that came with the phone or a seperate BT handsfree? If it is seperate BT handsfree then the answer is that this should work but it depends upon your handsfree. I use two different BT handsfree units and both can hang up calls with a press of a button.

I have used the original handsfree and when i get a call I can answer it with the button on the mic, but when i want to hang up i have to pick up the phone and press hang up i cant use the handsfree button, if i press the handsfree button it wants to "switch calls" even thou there is only one call.

Voice dialing over BT

I have voice dialing over BT with 2.1. I am wondering why some are saying it is not there. Unless the wireless BT function in my car operates in a different manner. doesn't that use BT for voice dialing? That would have been a deal breaker for me if I could not dial over BT in the car/
How do you use it? I'm interested! I have a cheap Jabra earpiece; with my old Nokia dumbphone I just pressed the button on the earpiece, and I would get an audio "prompt"; saying the name of the contact would trigger dialing.
Pushing the same button now does not seem to work with the Captivate.

Most car BT has its own voice dialing feature. It doesn't depend on phone's voice dialing feature.

app to emulate bluetooth voice control activation

The S3 is connected to the phone for bluetooth calls, so is there a way to simulate the way a bluetooth headset lets you press and hold a button to activate your phone's voice control? I want to be able to activate an app and then speak to google on the phone through the watch. Is this possible?

Bixby with Bluetooth headset

I cannot get Bixby to work while using a headset, I used Google voice while I drive but when changing to Bixby it won't register my voice at all, it's like my voice going through the phone mice and not the headset any one can help? It's a voyager 5200
Check the settings to see if there is any feature/setting where you can switch the mic for the voice command.
