And it is featuring a 400MHZ Samsung CPU, not the previously announced 300MHz only!
No word yet about UK. Anyone?

i like it i like it alot

I love it... I'll sell my Wizard for him :°)

I'll be gutted if O2 get this soon and T-Mobile take a while. I'm tired of paying at least £70 a month on purely data.

I hope the figures are wrong! 299 Euros on a 24 month contract!!! Jesus thats expensive
Im with B-B on this, if ever O2 get this first ill be fuming!

argh!!! I just bought a 1GB miniSD!!! Now I gotta get a microSD!!!!??? geez.....SLOW DOWN!

Any news on an o2 UK release date?

Why would you want O2 on a device with Push Email when T-Mobile let you have virtually unlimited data for £7.50?

Coz my signal was awful with t-mob, was lucky to have 1 bar with them at times, when i was with them a couple of years ago. So theres no point. Not running that risk again and getting tied in for 12/18months. Better the devil you know.
But thats a nice deal if you can get it, theres no denying that.
Anyways im not with o2, im with Orange, but im getting an o2 upgrade off a family member, doing a swap sorta!
Cant wait for this device to be out on o2 UK, so if anyone knows when its on its way, post it here!

has the t-mobile signal situation improved at all?

I was with them 4 years ago, bad signal.
My mate was with them two years ago, improved but still quite poor.
So i'm just not willing to run the risk.
Specially as now there no discount offer on flexts, they dont seem as good.
I have 120min and 1000texts for £22.50 p/m. You cant get that with them. But yes they do have the ace idea of unlimited data, but as i've said, not running the risk of bad signal.

Well you can return the phone within 7 days if you dont like it or dont get signal. Got to love distance selling regulations.
4 years is a very long time though, check your location on the t-mobile map on their website.

Altho i may only use about 5MB p/m... if that, coz of wifi connections... maybe not quite worth £7.50 or however much it is.

This is a pr stunt, this is not unlimited data really, it's more like unlimited browsing. You can't even use MSN Messenger on their service!? Let alone free UK phone calls thru VoIP...... waste o money imho

I just spoke to Vodafone UK, they tell me they begin shipping the qtek V1605 (Hermes) on 10th July for corporate customers....

doesnt include msn? Thats stupid. thats one of the main reasons of using the net on my phone!
I think i'll stick with my good roange signal and offer thanx!

I'm paying £70 to £100 with O2 for data... bit of browsing, RSS reader updates, emails, push email, attachments....
Explain to me how £7.50 for same on T-Mobile is a waste of money.

It does work fine with MSN and includes unlimited browsing and email as well. You can upgrade for a further 2.50 if you want true data modem which gives you 2GB a month.

Anywaaays... Is this device gonna be released on o2 uk?

Not on o2

Off-Contract Price

Does anyone what the cost is for an Inspire 4G off contract is? I talked to best buy and they said it's 600, but it's not confirmed anywhere. thanks
I haven't seen anything confirmed yet either, but this user says its $450:

i just pre-ordered my phone at radio shack today.
The no-commitment price of the phone will be.... $450, (better than the speculated $500)
i can confirm this as, i am buy the phone no-contract and i personally read through all the literature that radio-shack hands out to their employees about the phone and it's pre-order (im not a radio shack employee, it was just on the counter as the guy helping me had no clue how to pre-order at the no-commitment price)
so radio shack here i come on sunday!!
p.s. as everyone knows, radioshack is offering a $30 accesory credit when you pre-order the phone, which at their prices basically means a free case

Tonight someone is reporting that $399.99 is the price:
http://androidforums.com/htc-inspire-4g/275826-399-99-confirmed.html
Yep, $399.99 at at&t COR. BestBuy and Big Box stores usually sell it for a lot more off contract than COR does.
Ok thanks for the replies guys. Hopefully it is 450.

God knows I hope that is right, and I'm an atheist!
Wait so just to confirm- AT&T is selling the Inspire on the 13th and probably around 400-500 dollars? Sounds like a much better deal than best buy!!!

Yup, kirbo said 399 at AT&T corporate retail stores. That makes me quite stoked.
If its 399 at att corp then I will deff sell the i4 and get one and take my profit and save money on a touch for my media

I can confirm a $599.99 price at Best Buy.
Not sure why its sooo much higher than ATT COR

Yea we do price match any local store with the device in stock...however the managers might have to look twice about taking a whole $200 off.
A friend of mine works at an ATT store. Its $479.99 off contract according to him
just talked to one of my best buys and they said that all I would need is an online document or printout of atts website with the non-commitment price and they will match it.

Sounds like you're on a legacy plan, and they'd like you to "upgrade" to one of their current plans. Which plan are you on?

The down side is that you sign a new contract and are locked in for 2 more years.
But on the plus side, at least it doesn't affect your upgrade eligibility. If you're comfortable with T-Mobile's service it might be not be a bad deal for you

I agree. If you're happy with your service, coverage, data speeds, etc, it might not be a bad deal. In my case, I'm long since out of contract, but am extremely disappointed with T-Mobile service where I now live, so upgrading to a current plan and signing a 2-year contract in the process does not appeal to me.

IMEI Barred Samsung Galaxy ALIVE!!!

I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 from a pal of mine.
He is a bit of a shady character sometimes but he has always been pretty straight with me so when he told me he was selling his phone for £120 (including the box & manuals) I trusted him that it wasn't stolen or reported lost etc.
However...LOL! Apon inserting a new T-Mobile UK SIM card into it (It was a T-Mobile branded phone) I found it saying Emergency Calls Only!
He says that he got the phone on contract, which I believe and from what I have discovered on the t'internet, T-Mobile are pretty 'trigger happy' at IMEI blocking phones that don't get the bill paid on time.
But not being quite as trusting as I may seem and being the chairman of the self preservation society, I decided to get a CheckMend report.
Sure enough it was not stolen (report uploaded) or reported lost but it was reported as being blocked by one or more networks and was currently being blocked by one or more networks.
I asked my pal about this and he said that one of his dodgy buddies had tried to steal it from him once so he asked at the T-Mobile shop that they block it, which according to him, they did.
He then apparantly caught up with this bloke and massacred his face (I got the whole exaggerated story) and got the phone back and the T-Mobile twonks to 'de-barr' it again.
Now I don't know if any of that's true, it probably is actually but I'm pretty sure the main reason it's locked out is because the bruiser didn't pay his bill.
Anyway that didn't help me any so before congratulating myself on buying a small Android tablet PDA I decided to have a stab at trying to somehow make it function as a phone.
I flashed it with Odin and a non T-Mobile stock ROM, rooted it, stared at the nv_data.bin in Hex Workshop untill I couldn't see straight then had a shot at those app's that apparantly extract the SIM unlock number which failed to work either.
I thought I would add a further £16 to my loss by buying an unlock code in the slim-arse chance that it being locked out of 'one of more networks' meant that it wasn't all of them. Yeah, that was a long shot!
How-bloody-ever... After going through lots of old SIM cards that I have hoarded over the years (verifying first that they worked in another phone - der!) I wasn't having much luck.
Gif-Gaf, No! O2, No! Vodafone, No! Tesco, No! Virgin (Ah-Ha?), No! Lycos (it's gotta, what do they care, no one has even heard of them anyway), No! T-Mobile, Pass! 3UK, No! Orange...
Now I had about 20 Orange SIMs that looked like they had just rolled off the production line and not one of them worked. Likely they expired through never being activated but at the bottom of the baggie with the Orange SIMs in it was an Orange SIM dating back to around 1400 B.C.
I stopped worrying about my loss then as I thought I was soon to be in the money with my new found relic. Reluctantly I got some wire-wool and removed the surface rust (OK now I'm exaggerating) and popped the manky old thing into the nice shiney white S2!
That was the first time I have ever seen the 'Emergency Calls Only' dissapear but I had read somewhere that different networks block in different ways. i.e. some show a signal but won't connect, some won't show any signal but will dial then hang up etc. etc. so I didn't start jumping for joy untill I rang 453 and heard the voice of that patronising bi**h tell me I had £1.10 credit!
Then I rung my landline and... it rang! LOL! Happy Day's! The future is bright, the future is Orange and trust me that aint going to change either! Although I will be looking at my signal meter with some dreaded forboding over the next few days!
Now I have no idea if this will work with a brand new Orange SIM, I assume that it will though. In any case it would appear that as long as your phone is not nicked or reported lost, Orange don't give a damn if you want to connect to their PAYG network and give them cash - and rightly so!
Well done Orange for having some judgement and not blindly barring expensive phones that I got cheap!
Now does anyone want to buy a white S2 for £300? Problem is it is locked to Orange....
P.S I have uploaded a PIC of the email I got from the site I bought the £16 unlock from. They were really quick (out of hours too I assumed) and they give you all the codes including the freeze code and 3 others that I have no idea what they are for.
P.P.S No I don't know what 'summarize' means! I was just pleased dude!

Need Help!
Hi mate, im in a very similar situation to yours where i think the original seller has claimed insurance on his phone after selling it to me. It was on ebay and he deleted the listing so there is no way i can trace it back to him. I did a checkmend report and got the same exact result as yours. The phone is locked to 3 and i am an existing customer to 3 so i was wandering if i should go and speak to them, but im afraid they may take it off me since i have no proof of purchase. Really stupid on ebays behalf to delete my older messages otherwise there would be hope. I dont think telling the police would help much either. i paid £350 for it and it came boxed up, and i bought it last year december/Jan.
Ok so i found his username and asked for the receipt which he said he dont have, also my hotmail has some 'little evidence' of us exchanging emails from his ebay account on my hotmail, do you think i can try and contact paypal? and have something done? it has been 11 months, my main concern is they might ask me to hand it in to the police and i dont want to lose out on £350!
Id like to know did the orange sim card work for you? did you manage to sell your phone?
Thanks in advance i know its a long story and ive asked so many questions but i thought you might understand my situation since you've gone through something similar.

AT&T offering data plan doubling for free, Short time only and unannounced.

Please ready the fowling message, which AT&T has not made public.
For a short period we are being offered a nice boost for data plans, but you need request it. Double your data for free. I did this today without issue.
I was actually on the 10gb plan mentioned in the article. I bumped my plan to 15gb for $30 more (total $130/month) but in doing so, my data jumped to 30gb. It turns out to be roughly $4.5/gb(w/ tax).
The crazy thing is, a 1gb plan cost $25 +tax...
It's a good deal folks and the ability to double will only last until the end of October.
Price Changes
Old Price New
10 GB $100 10 GB
15 GB $130 30 GB
20 GB $150 40 GB
30 GB $225 60 GB
40 GB $300 80 GB
50 GB $375 100 GB
These prices don't include the line price, which is $40 extra per line? So that 15gb plan would cost you, for two lines, 210 a month? Correct me if I misunderstood that.

That's correct, if you are/have upgraded your device w/ AT&T.
In your case though, you own the OnePlus One, therefore the line is only $15. If you purchase your device outside of AT&T, your 2 lines would be $15 each. This brings your monthly to $160 for 30gb.
Thanks so much for posting this! I called and went from 15gb plan to 30gb plan in 3 minutes without costing me a penny! I'm so happy!
I don't think you need to call in to do this. I logged into my account and I was able to upgrade from there.

At&t next costs a little more, yes, but you are not locked into a two year contract which is neat. As soon as you pay off your phone, you can get a new phone whenever you'd like to instead of missing out on all the great devices that you could possibly get between those two years. I upgraded to an s4 because the other phones including the s5 did not seem like much of an upgrade and the note is too big for me. Also it knocks off 25 bucks off your data plan when you upgrade with next, granted the promotion isn't over. On top of getting the double data for free is a great deal.
I found some new awesome information about the next upgrade in the s5 thread

Yes you are eligible for a free galaxy tab A 8.0 , however a $10 a month data plan is required for 2 years. If you cancel the data plan, the tablet cost becomes due.
I got offered it in store when I got my note the other day. Told them no because I have an 8 tablet laying around I don't use. When you have a phone that us almost 6 inches an 8 inch tablet is a waste. Now if it and 10 inch I would do it.
I agree with the phone to tablet thing but my last tablet was a Motorola Xoom so I picked one up for my daughter. Its not a bad deal.

It's loosely based on you current plan. I have and unlimited data plan, so for the $10/month data line I get 5gb/month.
Should be getting mine in tomorrow. They never mentioned it to me in the store. I found out through xda. I figured for $10/month I can figure out a use for it.

I just went in earlier this week, and we were offered a free fourth line for our family plan. since I was jumping from my note 5 32gb to the 64 gb (I ran out of storage lol) we got the tablet for absolutely free, no 10 dollars a month, since the line we added was free. It's not a bad tablet either.

Read the papers you have. You have to be paying for a line. If you are on the mobile on demand you do not receive bill credit for the tablet.
