Hi Tornado boys!
I have a Himalaya device with no SIM card in it, and I want it to use my Tornado as a bluetooth modem to access the Internet.
On the Tornado, I have setup gprs connection correctly. But I failed connecting from Himalaya to Tornado after I have setup a bluetooth modem connection on Himalaya.
I have just set the number to dail as *99#. Is there anything I should do?
b.t.w, my himalaya is using the latest wm5 rom from buzz net.
The error message on himalaya is: Cannot connect for unknown reason. Blah blah blah...
any ideas?

Im am currently using an Imate 2020 and logon to the South African Server provider Vodacom. I have upgraded succesfully to ROM version 2.06.00WWE, but are experiancing problems with BlueTooth in the following areas:
1) When I connect aBlueTooth Headset (Motorola HS810 or Nokia) the call is succesfully transfered from the phone to the headset, but the Imate speaker and microphone still stay active. How do I fix that?
2) I am using a Compaq / HPO nx7010 notebook with integrated bluetooth cababilities. I managed to establish a succesfull session between the Imate and the phone with a BlueTooth connection and can utilise the Imate's modem to connect to the internet. However, I cannot estabilish an ActiveSync session via the the Imate to the HP Laptop for synchoronisation of mail, calender and Tasks.
3) I would like to utilise GPRS to on the Imate to connect to the Intenet from the HP Laptop. In otherwords I do want to establish a BlueTooth connection between the Laptop and the Imate and utilise the Imate's GPRS session to connect to the internet.
Can anyone assist please.
Thank you

Hi,
Checked the posts but I am not sure so I'm asking for help.
I'm having rom 1.12 and radio 1.13 on my Qtek S100. Which of these BT stack should I try?
Is the size limit of the Bluesoleil one on PC side or on PPC side. I have a usb dongle and widcom on my PC so I just need a BT stack on my PPC.
Does anybody have the magician working with a dlink bleutooth access point (accidentaly have one laying around).
Thanks for the info,
S.
Hi all, first post. I LOVE WM6 but can no longer get my Mac to pair with my ATT 750 via bluetooth to be used as a modem. The bluetooth pairing itself is successful, but when I try to dial up as a modem, all I get from my mac is "no line detected".
Does anyone have similar issues or suggestions...?
TIA!
ATT Treo 750 Locked
WM6
Limited 3rd party software
MacBook running osx
Figured it out.
The connection needs to happen from the Treo not the Mac as it did before with WM5.
1. Pair the mac with the Treo as you normally would.
2. On the Treo, under Programs, Internet Sharing, PC Connection, select Bluetooth PAN.
3. Under Network Connection, select AT& T and choose Connect.
On the Mac, click on the Bluetooth Icon and choose Join Network on......(your Treo name should be there).
Start surfing.
I was getting download speeds @ 530kps with the "H" clearly visible on the Treo.
My only question now for you Shamans of Cyberspace is this; will AT&T now know I'm using my Treo as a modem and want the $$ per month?
Hi @all,
I try to connect my Kaiser via Bluetooth over my Laptop.
Somehow my Bluetooth will not manage to dial through the Kaiser...
I have Vista installed and i use Vodafone for HSDPA....
I do also have "Bluetooth Peripherical Device" Error
If I go to Bluetooth PAN it will not show my Kaiser...
any Ideas on this problem?
All i want is to use my Kaiser'S modem to connect to internet or at least share the given connection back to my laptop....
Dear users,
I'm having trouble setting up 'Internet Sharing'.
Device informatie:
Wizard G3, T-Mobile NL, WM6 NL.
As all other programs work with my GPRS connection, Internet sharing won't connect. When I click 'connect' @ internet sharing, A balloon pops up to tell it cannot connect for unknown reason.
I had this problem with some other ROM's I tried, however, T-mobile WM5 (original) works...
Bytheway; I'm using Windows7 (won't work at XP too, already tried that) =)
Thanks for helping me out!
-- Edit --
Could'nt find anything on the net, getting full backup of my device now and trying Wm5 again within 60 minutes =)

@ WM5
Why not at WM6?
Which ROM do you have on your Wizard?
I have Xions WM6.1 ROM Build 20273 and I have the same problem. If I tell "Internet Sharing" to make a GPRS connection it fails. Any other program can make a GPRS connection.
Is this a Build 20273 specific problem or can it be fixed? Xions ROM is a kitchen ROM so changes can be done.
No mine is connected to GPRS but cannot connect due to a unknown error.
To solve your problem:
Settings -> Connections -> Manage existing (the gprs connection e.g. T-mobile Internet) -> Dropdown and select 'Connect'
Try again to use ICS
It does not matter if a GPRS connection is established or not. When I start "Internet Sharing" the status is alwyas disconnected. When I tell him to connect I get a bubblehelp that a connection cannot be established.
I tried it with no GPRS connection and I tried it with an established GPRS connection (discribed in your last posting). Always status: disconected!
I already build a vanaĆlla ROM to be sure that it is not an other software that makes the trouble.
