Hi,
Checked the posts but I am not sure so I'm asking for help.
I'm having rom 1.12 and radio 1.13 on my Qtek S100. Which of these BT stack should I try?
Is the size limit of the Bluesoleil one on PC side or on PPC side. I have a usb dongle and widcom on my PC so I just need a BT stack on my PPC.
Does anybody have the magician working with a dlink bleutooth access point (accidentaly have one laying around).
Thanks for the info,
S.

Hi All,
I am using internet telephony on my PC and I am curious whether anybody knows whether it is possible to use my MDA compact (or any other PocketPC device) as a remote phone set via bluetooth. Would be nice to walk around the PC doing a phone call through the internet.
If somebody knows, can you let me know how?
Thanks,
Lars
if you have the wifi card and use the program skype you can do ut
I don't want to use WiFi.
I would like to use a Bluetooth connection between my MDA compact and my (host) PC which has an internet connection. Basically, my MDA compact should work like a "Bluetooth headset" for my PC.
Lars
i'm not sure if the ms bluetooth stack support that profile
maybe the vidcomm does ?
Is it possible to put the Widcom stack on my MDA compact??
Anybody have an HP (Compaq) nc6400 laptop? It has built-in BT but doesn't appear to support PAN. WOuld the best idea be to buy a BT Dongle that does support it adn turn off the built-in one?
Prob is BT Stack
I had an HP NC6200 and the problem is in the BT Stack. Remove the software that came with the HP and install the MS drivers/stack and once the install completes, the option to "Join a Personal Area Network" will be available.
Just an aside....i dont prefer the MS BT Stack but in this case I know it works because my Dell has a Toshiba BT Stack and I had to do the same thing. Widcomm BT Stack is my preference.
Brad
OK, thanks for your help. Will give it a go. i guess the MS drivers are available on the MS site?
uninstalled the HP bt software but not sure where to find or how to install the MS stack?
OK, I've given up on the in-built BT. Got a BT USB dongle and Blue Soleil. Now PAN works and I can use my Hermes as a 3G modem.
good so far....
but how do you get ActiveSync to work over BT? Is it possible?
It would be much cheaper and easier just to download/buy Bluesoleil software from IVT - it works with all dongles, also with BT device you have inside your HP laptop.
yeah - it works with my dongle but not with the inbuilt device.
How do i get ActiveSync to work over BT?
If you disconnect the new dongle and install fresh demo from IVT website, Bluesoleil and then activate the built-in BT, it will work. Until you will buy license, there will be 5MB data limit.
I use BlueSoleil it with my built-in dongle from HP (nc6000).
ActiveSync is possible using virtual COM port on Bluetooth. There is sometimes ActiveSync service in some Bluetooth stacks, but I think IVT doesn't support it. If you want to use BT directly, you might need to switch to MS Bluetooth or Widcomm stack. Don't ask me how - never used MS stack.
BTW: there should be update for your Widcomm stack for your laptop - I think Bluetooth PAN is now standard (but painful to use with Widcomm).
When I try this the HP Wireless assistant takes over and BlueSoleil says "please insert your BT device".

OK, no probs. I put it in Hermes WM6 because of the requirement for Internet Sharing after I upgraded to WM6 and therefore needed PAN but I accept that it is more of a general issue
I've upgrade my himalaya to WM5, but i still have the same problem when i still use 2003. My device cant be detected as PAN device. I need it to make my himalaya as remote presenting.. How can i connect to Comp? or how to setting PAN bluetooth?
as far as i know the ms bluetooth stack never supported PAN
with 2003 one could install vidcomm bluetooth stack and get the profile
not sure if there are any working vidcomm stacks for 2005 though
Hello,
I've the following problem. I've a MDA Pro with WM6. It's a german Maxstegi 4.7, but I tried 2 differnt ROMs from your board but my problem persists.
Bluetooth is activated and working. This I checked with a Siemens HHB-750 A2DP Audiotransmitter. Then I tried to connect my i747
http://www.transystem.com.tw/p-gps-iblue747.htm
and googlemaps, wififofum and Tomtom can't find it, regardless of every combination of settings in external GPS and Bluetooth. The funny thing is that Navigon detected the GPS on COM1: serial cable but wasn't running because of memory problems. I checked the gps mouse with my laptop and it's running fine.
My question now: Has anyone this gps running on a Universal with WM6 or does anyone know about problems with the bluetooth stack and how to correct it, or which GPS via Bluetooth works somewhere with Tomtom?
Thanks
Alsaya
I have 727 and universall and WM6.0 (but french FLA242). no problme just have to do partenership and open a com port (for tomtom and universal it's com4. uncheck secure connect
@stephane.papin
Hello Stephane, I tried com4 with and without external GPS - no success. Secure connection is unchecked. Any more suggestions, please.

I've Radio 1.17. Is Bluetooth a function of radio? Will 1.18 help?
Thanks

Hi,
Does anybody have ever connected the VDA GPS to a Bluetooth Access Point (BTAP) at home in order to go online via broadband speed rather than GPRS?
How will be the settings?
I have a blue2net and cannot figure out how to establish a data connection between both devices...
Hi tuo_kaerf,
did you get a connection between the VDA GPS and the Siemens blue2net?
I'm looking for a solution to get into www with the blue2net too, but i still haven't found a way to connect these items...
Unfortunately not, due to the PAN profile in Windows Mobile, which is not sufficient for connecting with the BTAP. It is only designed for connecting to other BT enabled devices, such as mobile phones, but not a BTAP.
Could changing the bluetooth stack from microsoft to widcomm be a solution?
This can't be a problem of bluetooth, this must be a software problem...

Funny you, a problem with bluetooth profiles *IS* a software problem
Upps. I originally ment "This can't be a hardware problem"...
So there must be a workaround to get this problem solved.
I'm back again...
Could flashing the VDA GPS to Windows Mobile 6.1 be a solution for this problem?
