Hello guys,
Since i am new on this forum i would like to say hello to all of you.
I am owner of imate kjam with WM5.
I would like to ask you if there is a complete wm6 ready firmware so i can download it and install it on my device.

Faria's "The Real Thing" has everything you would want/need... Perfect if you don't want to have to add anything yourself...
On the other hand, Core2.0n is pretty stripped, but it's nice if you just need the basics and want to add your own progs...

Make sure you are CID unlocked prior to attempting to install a custom rom. See the stickies in the Upgrading, Etc. wizard forum.
There are several WM 6 roms available in these forums that will run on your wizard, but make sure you know and understand what you are doing before you start the flash process.

I have tried the faria (real thing) but at 99% stucks with error 302.
Then i try to build my own rom but when i am on the stage of selecting the os and put some addresses i am lost.
Can anyone help ?
My imate kjam is original and unlocked.
my ipl spl is 2.16
my gsm is 02.07.10
and my os is 2.16.9.1.

First Rom Upgrade

hi guyz
am going to upgrade my XDA-Exec (Universal) G4 for the first time. its currently running WM5 from O2 but i am going to use it with another Service Provider.
now want to make sure of couple of things.
first... is there any HardSPL type of programe for Universal so that atleast i dont endup bricking the phone ?
second what exactly does the CID/EROM locks are for or SIM lock. I can use my other companies SIM in this phone so do i still need to do it ?
third how safe is the ROM updating without anything like HardSPL....?
reason why iam asking this is because its my friends phone and dont wanna brick it and second i have upgraded my HERM but have not done a Universal WM5 to 6 or 6.1 upgrade

Welcome.
No Their Is No HardSPL For Universal.
IMHO CID Unlocking Should Be Done As Various Bootloader Commands For Recovering The Device Will Only Work On A CID Unlocked Device. (I Think!)
Rom Upgrading Is Relatively Safe. Jus Make Sure The Battery Is Fully Charged.
Read The WIKI For More Information.

i got the ROM updated last night and was using when i finally thought of using another ROM... while upgrading the other rom it just gave and error message on the PC and the phone was on the page where it ask you to press 0 for default ... so i did that and the phone restarted but now its stuck on the Splash Screen (the O2 operator starting screen) ...
if i connect the phone to the PC it will not recognize the phone as its totally stuck on the Splash screen ... if i try to goto the bootloader screen it gives me the same message of either Pressing X or 0 ... also the USB is not recognizing it ..
what to do .????

..i tried to install new windows..but ..later it just end up leaving in bootloader mode ...i tried hard spl...hard reset...tried unplug usb and battery too ..but neither work....can anyone help me to retain my jamin.....in bootloader mode it shows

..i have tried installing imate original version too ..but it says it cant ..coz it it says it need new nbf file and sometime ...ask to check upgrade utility...whats the problem...help me

Identify Prophet

Hi All,
I am new to prophet. I wanted to flash one of the new 6.5 Rom on my phone. Its an Imate Jamin phone. But I am confused as to whether is my phone a G3 Phone or G4 phone. How do you differenciate / understand what phone you have?
Also what is the difference between G3 and G4?

Thanks a lot for the information link that you provided me. This has helped me a lot.
I am also facing another issue. When I try to run the Hard SPL on my PC to install it on the phone --> it will go all the way till the time the phone screen turns into 3 colors and the moment it does that there is an error in the RUU stating this MFC application has performed an illegal operations. Windows will now close this operation and I get a msg box saying send information or don't
Please help.

1. what Operating system are you using? XP or Vista?
2. While in bootloader mode <3 color screen> does it show USB on the lower left corner of your phone screen? and does it show RUU on upper right corner of the same screen?
3. If there are errors still and theres a code given like Error code 345 < example only > define it here.. file attached
4.Btw, did you hardSpl'ed your device without knowing if its G3 or G4???? (
5. if youre using Vista as OS on your PC and got about with g3 and g4 prob read this...

Another think. I used my other Windows XP machine for updating the rom but after installation of the rom - computer screens shows finish but on handset restart it still has window 5. What could be the reason for this. Can you help.

hello
have you tried hardspl?? provide me the ipl and spl youre getting the moment you boot up your device...
heres how you can get your IPL/SPL
soft reset your device... and while its booting up look at the upper right corner of your screen there you will see your ipl and spl ... iuf you have SPL like
2.g3.4pda < for g3 models > 2.g4.4pda <for g4 models ... hope im right for g4 coz i have g3>. if you dont have this spl you need to hardspl your device first before trying to flash a new rom for example WM6.1 or more...

follow closely and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT MODEL ON YOUR DEVICE... ex. make sure if your G3 or G4 btw read the link its provides the proper way...

Orange SPV M500 - stuck at bootloader

Hi
I have a Orange SPV M500 and i have decided to flash it.
I've been trying to do it by myself, following the tutorials from this forum, but unfortunately my phone in the bootloader after i press next in the "you have this ... and it's gonna be uploaded to this ...." screen.
When I reboot it, I get this information
R 1.05.10
G 1337.39
D 1.06.00 WEE
I've been using a Windows 7 and a Vista with the Windows Mobile Device Center to do this (since i don't have a XP, although I did tried to use one, from a friend of mine, only to get the 120 error)
i've tried a lot of different rom's and radio's only to get stuck at the bootloader.
can anyone help please? i would reaaaaly like to be able to do this...

go back to your frind's xp machine (recharge battery before)
extract rom somewhere (you need to se files os.nbf, radio_.nbf, ms_.nbf and some other files)
download this file and place it to same folder and execute it
and enjoy you magician

I finally got it working but now I'm having difficulty in unlocking the phone. Can someone help on that? I've followed every tutorial using the unlocker software. So does anyone has any tip on how to do it in the Orange SPV M500?
