my problem is not HTC related, but is with Windows Mobile 6.1 ...
I would be very grateful for any help on this.
I get an Unidentified USB Device 'nag' screen on every reset and even when coming out of 'sleep' mode, with no devices attached.
This happens when my PDA is in it's cradle, and in my hand !
I can only click 'cancel' and then everything works fine.
I have seached the web, and most advice seems to refer to getting this nag when actually attaching devices, which is not the case with me.
I am convinced this is a registry problem,
and best I could find was to go to the Hkey_local_machine_drivers_usb section and to make changes to the sub keys.
but here is the rub ! ....
I am getting the problem on a Pocket Loox EDA and also own a Eten Glofish X650 which runs fine ...
both are running WM6.1 with exact same software ... and yet the USB sections of both registries are identical !
even more baffling is the fact that the keys/values mention various dll's that simply do not exist on either device !
Completely deleting the keys, inc the 'loadclients' section does not solve it.

Compiled from official firmware for HTC Snap. Only the English language. Keyboard layout as on the devices from Vodafone.

Just wait a bit longer, Caramba is busy cooking a wm6.5.3
If it is just as stable as the current 6.5 I'll go for it.
Thanks a lot for this one! I like this more over your 6.5.3, because it has more features like the weather panel and the better audio player.
Still I have one question. Im using Palringo as IM, which puts a notification Icon in the taskbar. Is there any way to enable this icon also in the taskbar of the homescreen? So you can see when you got new messages right from the homescreen. Would be of course even cooler if it would be possible to include it in the notification panel on the home screen, but i think thats not possible..

I appreciate your hard work on this one. I been looking for a solution for my phone for a long time!
I have a problem flashing this rom. When i turn on the device with the bootloader, it does not autoflash.
It shows the PALM logo and in text on top it says:
EBOOT7 Ver:V4.0.0 ExtROM:ESN
My phone is a palm treo 500v from vodafone spain, and its locked, as it comes with the carrier ROM.
I already formatted the 4Gb microSD card and copy the ABI file into it.
Is there any step or application that im missing?

OK. Reading a bit further in another thread, i found another guy with the same problem. The result was that my microSD card was too big for the bootload to run the ABI file (?). Anyway, i bought a smaller 1Gb microSD card and worked fine!!! It started to load the new ROM right away. It was worth it (10€)
BTW thanx again to caramba for the ROM. Now i have a neat UI, and i assume the phone is unlocked! Havent tried with another carrier yet.

I tried the phone with a different (movistar) sim card. it wont work. the phone is still blocked. cant believe it!
The phone shows: the sim card has been blocked from the target network.
is this normal? i mean, i have changed the rom using the caramba .abi file and the phone is still blocked. I already tried the 6.5.2 and 6.5.3.
I was assuming that changing the rom, it should be unlocked.
what else can i do to unlock it?

This ROM has some important issues: 1. Menus like *100# simply does't work. 2. Sim contacts are not displayed even thought are selected. It only appear in SIM manager. I'm also a HTC Snap owner and i know how things should work.

Well, good job, it seems that 6.5 is somewhat faster than 6.1, however, the reason for which I have updated is because of the USB charger issue (the phone charges only when powered off) and my ISP connection. These problems persist in this version too. USB charging worked flawlessly with its Vodafone ROM, same with the Internet. Is there a fix for this?
At least can you provide a link or point to some direction where I can find what I'm looking for?
LE: I can confirm also that SIM contacts do not show in this version.
Net connections seems to work now, that leaves the sim contacts and usb charging issues.
Word Completion

I flashed my Treo 500 with this rom as the 6.1 really didn't work on it.
USB charging does work with a cable from my laptop, but yes charging direct from a socket will only charge when the phone is off.
The biggest thing for me though is that I've got word completion on all the time as I type and I hate using it. There aren't as many options in the settings as normal and I can't find a way to turn it off.
Can anyone help?

i just updated my S200 at WM6.1 (WM 6.1 build 21054 TouchFlo Look II), and i instaled a pincode on the phone (not sim), someone messed wit it and tried to broke the password ,and wen i seen it after , the screen was landscape and wen i enter the pin code and press unlock it does not respond in any way, i tried lots of things, i think that is from the landscape screen,
how can i fix it? i cant synchronize it the PC and i cant HSLP because it is blocked.
wat do i do?
p.s. i know that that person did not broke the code.

Every keyboard i installed (installation went no probs) i cant enable it in settings cuz settings app crashes!!
Im not rooted now but i also tryed with root.having galaxy5 and running original 2.1-1
First i though its resolution problem cuz my screen is qvga but its not!
Just enabling it in settings app has nothing to do with it,and also people have told me that i should be able to show any keyboard,but because of resulution it may not be correctly showed (cutted on the edges) but i MUST be able to show it anyhow.
There are also keyboards on market which are compatible with my phone,cant enable even them.
Please,PLEASE someone help,im stuck with ****ty Samsung keyboard,and on swype i dont have my languge so im doomed.
If someone would point me out to Croatian swype (it exists but i cant find it) that would also solve the problem..i quess,if im frikin able to install even that.

Hello, I am having issues with my ipaq 214. I am not techy so really need some help. I have had the device since 2007 and it has been great. I really like it becos I still have Pocket Esword on it as it runs on WinMo 6.The problem I have now is anytime I download the Pocket Esword on the device it works for a while then it stops responding and when you do a soft reset it goes to a hard reset and the application can't be found again. I have done this over and over again for the past month.
Someone advised getting a flash rom. Can someone help PLEASE !!!!!!!
I really need to have this resolved so that I can still use Pocket Esword and open my documents and use the media player.
