Tmobile MDA compact problem

Hi
I got a problem i tried to update a rom to my MDA compact but the device lost power. Now its does nothing anymore, i just goes on boot mode and says USB and at the bottom v1.0
Does anybody know how i can make it work agian. If have searched on the net a lot but i cant seem to find a solution and my mda is down for a month now

:roll: if it still has the bootloader it should be possible :roll:
:roll: get the MAupgradeUT_noID.exe (from ftp)
:arrow: take a shipped rom you wish to flash (unpack the exe with winrar )
rename MAupgradeUT_noID.exe >to< MAupgradeUT.exe
copy it into folder with extracted rom replace original one
and run the update through serial/usb cable

Okey i'm kind of a leek but i cant seem to figure out how to get on the ftp
i got cuteftp but how do i log in??

Okey this is getting better and better. I now have managed to put on a qtek s100 rom but the device reconize its an illigal rom and now it all it does is switches on and off by it self !! :evil: what can i do about it!

Unplug any USB devices you do not need. Specially printers etc. I have had some problems in the past doing upgrades that were always solved with less USB devices connected.

You need to try a different rom and make sure only the phone is plugged into the usb slot.

Yeah but because it keeps on switching on and off i cant get it connected so i cant upload a new rom! can't i just somehow Format my mda?

run the update file again and avoid to touch anything else it should be ok even if you have to run the update rom file more than once

:wink: mark just do the following to get the bootloader :lol:
press the Camera and the power buttons Reset with stylus while holding buttons will drop you in bootloader screen
then flash your device with another rom (the one in the modded section 1.11 noid one was a good one for me first time )

Okey i got it back in the boot menu. 8) but now i cant get on the Upload link you gave me its just empty. where can i download the rom you told me about?

you should be able to get on the server. but in germany Tmobile already gave out an update themself , so look on the Deutsch tmobile site you can download it there.

Wiro i got an other question for you. I see you have the Dutch tmobile as well, Is there any i can get my GPRS to work on the tmobile network?

No it is a normal update for the mda compact. it should work properly

After wrong Rom update no Bootmenu MDA Compact 2

Hello,
can everbody help me my Pda Compact 2 fails after softupdate with
wrong Update (qtec)
Now after start the device, the display is flashing short and than nothing !!
with plug in AC-Power I come in Bootloadermode(without usb or seriell shown) but with usb cable nothing.
The bootmenu does not work !!! What can i do ??? (before flashing bootmenu ok)
are there tools for flashing rom directly or a other way to come in bootmenu ???
without bootmenu i can not boot from SD or ???

My sad story is…..
I purchased MDA Compact II a month ago. I changed its ROM with JAMin’s ROM (after unlocking with LOKIWIZ). The device was OK but camera was not working, so I updated it again with K JAM’s ROM process started 10% to100% as usual & massage appeared congratulation your device is updated successfully. The process was also running on my device as usual. But after that my device (I mean MDA Compact II) refused to start normally it just blinks LED & so LCD. (It is dead now) The PC doesn’t detect it no boot loader is available to update it with its original ROM that I got now. So if you find any thing plz help me & if I get any thing I promise I'll inform you my email adres is [email protected] plz mail me to have your email adress to comunicate

if you say you can get into the bootloader with the AC cable then you should beable to download a SD card image on to the phone.

When plugged in it is not bootloader. Same thing happened to me and i tried the sd image rom. The screen looks like the bootloader but it is not. There are 3 colors and no mention of serial 1.x or whatever it is. I am going to send my unit in 4 repair. Look in the prophet forums there are 2 threads. One is titled upgraded prophet with wizard rom and the other thread is Can anyone help fix my brick. If anyone knows a fix it would be great but I think it has to be repaired by disributor.

Please Help! My JAMin is dead!

help... i downloaded smart1's (normal, not clean) update, and launched UPGRADE_ROM.DAT from PC... it said initializing and everything... and then it reached to "copying something.dll' ... i waited 10 minutes or so then i got something like:
"error cant copy ....... because connection closed from remote... something like that."
i did NOT touch the imate during the process
and now when i turn on my imate i get the HTC with white background for a second but then it freezes on the blue "i-mate" screen... displaying:

SPL 2.13.0001
GSM 02.20.21
OS 10.1.0.811
when i connect it to pc, windows does recognise and install my device but ActiveSync doesnt connect.
i tried removing the battery then putting it back in then pressing and holding the conn. button along with the power button and i DO get to the bootloader screen (with three colors) and then when i plug in the usb i get a small 'usb' word at the bottom of the screen, but still, ActiveSync doesnt connect... i tried installing the update again... but the program doesnt find my device
how can i make it work again ??? plz help me

Now you need to find a rom that will install from bootloader mode and not an update........

Just BEWARE that the rom you download is for your phone, it will be for a G3 or a G4, if you get it wrong, your phone is DEAD.

Same problem for me, but I solved today:
I connected the phone to pc in bootloader mode, the pc see the phone and says ppc usb sync, but the activesync not started.
I tried to install a qtek official rom by dangaard (you can find it here: http://www.megaupload.com/it/?d=4ELWL078 ) and I solded the problem !

Same problem!
I had same problem but in my case with downgrade from WM6 to ASERG rom, i have downloaded RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe and that fixed my problem.

PLease HELP..ROM update !!!

i have tired v3 wm6 update and..after the update my screen is stuck...at o2 sign..with bubbles,, the four red words appear on the screen but doesn't change anything...
i'd like to reflash back but it doesn't seem like connecting to PC via USB..
what do i do...?

and i found..
it just stopps in the boot loader mode and turns to black screeen .. and that's it...
I cna't even connect to USB so which means i can't flash back to normal..
is there any suggestions??

Try to Enter Bootloader:
Hold down the camera button and reset the device. (Boot Loader Mode is: Press Camara + Soft Reset, then release soft reset and keep pressing camara button till appear the Boot Loader.)
However, you have to write in the right post, i guess you mean the Ohlala_WWE_WM6_v3 ROM. If you had read the entire post youl'd know that this one is bad. V4 should solve the problem.

You cannot use "upgrade_rom.bat" to flash ur device with RGB screen. The bat file is for upgrade, not for fresh install. It means that you have to install AKU2.xx NVID.exe (executable) first. The .exe file can recognize ur device via RGB screen.
After reset ur device with AKU2.x and successfully connect to the PC vis Activesync, you then can run upgrade_rom.bat.
And... don't be too panic. You have to read more.

No it's a Qteck ROM not an O², I don't know if there is a 2.20 NVID ROM from O² here, sorry.

you could try this. Someone else posted it here, and when my phone stopped connecting after some update it fixed activesync. It's a switch.

Had O2 ever released HTC Prophet?
Sorry but I'm not O2 fan.
I have only Prophet so I know only Prophet.
You could go to the right thread for ur device O2 and look for the right .exe file.
PS: is it XDA Neo? If it is Prophet it should be OK.
Try holding Camera+Comm buttons during pressing reset button ur device will ask u to Format something. Press send button (green phone button) and try again.

I'm almost broken down :'(
since days I'm trying everything to update the rom of my smartphone with the following operation system "XP and Vista".
I've got a Xda Touch diamond, but Vista says I've got a Touch Diamond P3700. Now let me tell you the catch-22:
I'm connecting the phone via usb cable to the pc(any usb-hub on the back of the pc)
Vista and Xp says "connected". Now I'm running RomUpdateUtility.exe. In the same folder
is the new rom called "DIAMIMG.NBH"
Now I'M clicking "Next" and again "Next". Now he says"verifing the information on your PDA Phone.. Please wait..
After that he says Current Information about you PDA Phone: Image version: 1.93.407.1
So now I'm clicking "update" the new Image version is 1.00.000.0
(If I use another Update Utility he says to Image Version 2.03.207.2)
Clicking "Next" and then again "Next" My Phone turns black and then the phone displays the three-color mode
and below the "serial" change to "usb" and a few
seconds later the phone shows a bar of 0% and on WinXP the bar also shows 0%.
Suddenly the connection is off. And a few minutes later the update Utility(PC) says EROOR(262) UPDATE ERROR.
I even disbaled the standby and hibernation modes on the PC. And I even tried flashing from Internal Storage!
ABsolutly futile! The three-color mode displays DIAM300, SPL-1.30.OliNex, MicroP-Diam (Led) v11,
Psoc_Diam STAGE_PVT v=x32
Is may Phone locked for new roms?
Please HELP ME before I'm going sick ´:__(

dont rush out and get a new phone just yet.... all flashing problems are actually quite simple, you just need to be methodical and patient
Firstly, i always flash with XP, call me old fashioned but its what ive always done lol.
in the past when ive had 262 errors (whilst flashing my touch cruise RIP) the radio i had installed at the time prevented further flashes.
What you havent said is what your current rom is and what rom you are trying to flash.

there's no problem updating my Smartphone to 100%.
But if I try to use any foreign rom for updating he freezes by 0%.
What is that?
I can't use any foreign rom from other peoples,
I'm absolutly helpless to this issue.
Please help me anybody :=)

Please tell me you have read the wiki or at least the stickys on how to flash with either hardspl or uspl etc??
If not ur gonna end up with a fancy looking brick.... what have you tried so far and from where?
