My XDA2 has recently stopped responding to stylus input or any other pointy poker input. The screen works when i use my finger, but it sux trying to se the on-screen keyboard with fat fingers...
i keep my XDA2 in its case, so i dont think the screen has been subject to any shock / forceful abuse...
I have tried soft & hard reset.. no avail
any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Babes,
I don't know much, but I do know that the sweet people on this forum would very much like to know a lot more details about your device before they will be able to tell you much.
Obviously you must have performed a soft reset.
My PDA Freezes
Hi Everyone,
I have T Mobile MDA Vario II and my problem is the screen touch on which i use my stylus stick to tap on is not working. When i tap anything on the screen non of the functions are working which means i can not use the phone to make call or get any information from it.
I will be happy if anybody can help me to solve it and i have tried things like resetting and trying to calibrate again.
Thanks

Hey dude
I have a HTC TyTN which i *think* is the same device. Basically its rubbish when it sleeps on its own. Don't let it turn its self off. Do it yourself. Kills 99% of all known "comas" (which is what its known as) and only requires a touch of the off button
SOrry, just to add:
have you tried the soft reset underneath by the slider switch where you sink it with usb? Stick a pen or pencil in and hold for a second. If all goes well you won't loose any info and it will restart. Then you can go into system and turn off autosleep.

You def should have done this properly. Did you align the screen using your stylus only right?

Yes, aligned with stylus and tried soft reset. Still acting up where if I touch a portion of the screen, it acts as if I pressed a different area.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Might be a long shot, but make sure the screen is clean and free from all debris.
hard reset seems like the only option. unless you want to send it in and get a new one...
Make sure the screen protector you are using is placed right. Are you using a 2 piece plastic body protector? If so, the top half may be putting undue pressure on the screen itself. Remember, with these screens, when touched in two different places will recognize a midpoint...not one or the other of the pressure points.
regestry
There is a regestry key that hold the info of the digitalization process.. I will look for it and post the values. I know that they are not the same for all phones but in his case maybe work... If he wana try.
registry key...
The registry with touch screen values is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DeviceMap\Touch\CalibrationData
and the values on mine are...
493,511 800,186 797,836 192,828 191,176
So just open that registry key and copie those numbers and it shuold work... Maybe not perfect but enough to do a real calibration...
Sorry for my english but its my second lengage...
good luck!

nobody can help me? I've now re-installed the ROM, but it still doesn't work.
Try to lift up the protective coating of screen.
well polaris touchscreens are kinda delicate and gets damaged easily
good point is that they are cheap and easy to fix, mind only the right model
I've solved the problem by changing the touch screen.
Thank you
Hi all. Im hoping someone here has experience or can point me in the right direction.
I just installed a Joying 6.2 inch tablet with physical buttons in my car. At first for roughly an hour everything seemed to work. Then I lost access to thephysical softouch home button and then I lost access the the navigatiom button. They simply stopped responding to input. The screen portion itself still responds fine and recalibrating the screen didnt fix it nore did a reset with the pin hole. Has any body run into this and if so how did you fix it. I hate to send itback asbesides this it works fine.
Thanks for any and all help.
